I’ve been to a lot of Plasma Donation Centers in my life; and I will never go to another one, this place is hands down the BEST! Clean, safe, secure, honest, friendly, and amazing staff… are just a few reasons; not to mention the money you can make, movies you get to watch, bonuses, and contests they are always doing! So Ceve is an amazing person and a phenomenal phlebotomist; she takes her time and makes you feel at home, treats everyone as if they are her best friend! Her skills are great, you never even feel the needle go in and her attention to detail is superb! Not to mention she has a wonderful smile… you can tell she loves her job; it shows in all she does! The Saturday morning crew is an All-​Star group of individuals… they are all great, Ellen is also a great phlebotomist and another amazing person! You can’t go wrong donating here! Save a life and do yourself a favor start donating Plasma; and I promise that at this Center you will love it! Honestly almost every phlebotomist they have is great; just Ceve and Ellen stand out as MVPs on this All-​Star group of phlebotomists!
*Had to add that Natalie and Tiffany are also two of my favs at this location; cute, nice, and intelligent… just great people!

Ive donated here 3 times so far and let me tell you the first time i was terrified. Ive never given blood and didnt know what to expect, if at the time i hadnt been seriously desperate for the money i never would have gone at all but i can now say im glad i actually did it. The first day, which took about 4 hours, the people that did my screening and eveything walked me through literally every step. They clearly saw it was my first time and without me having to ask they explained everything they did, why it mattered, what they were looking for etc…
The bedside manner was pure awesomeness. Even though they were busy i never felt forgotten. I wish i knew the names of the people that have helped me so far because they delivered really great customer service and deserve some gold stars/​recognition/​pay raise.

I was nervous about selling plasma. My first time. But the very kind staff made me feel valued and comfortable. They were very understanding and helpful regarding my apprehension. The facility is very professionally run, clean, and safe. And the payment is good. First three visits pay $ 50 each. Next two are $ 45. After that each visit is worth at least $ 25. I say at least because there are always bonuses and perks. Punch card, raffle, roulette wheel. Fourth donation this month worth an extra $ 30. A person can visit twice weekly.

I’m a first time donor, but familiar with the medical field and this place is clean. I watched as many nurses as I could and they all changed gloves between patients and paid great attention as not to contaminate anything. This place is clean. That was my biggest concern, as the blood cells go back in you.
The staff was great, super nice and very good bed side manner. Everybody seemed genuinely concerned with my questions and concerns, and seems they were almost happy I had questions, instead of getting the feeling they’re just trying to get my plasma and get me out the door. They checked on me often throughout my visit and kept me up to date on what’s next. So, as it was a long experience for every first time donor, I never sat there wondering if they forgot me.

I have been 5 times give or take and every time staff has been nice, friendly, efficient and clearly doing the best they can with what they are given. I will continue going. This is my children’s college fund… yup that teen pregnancy still bitting me in the ass. I chose life… because it’s beautiful. No regrets. Thanks for helping me give my girls a little help gettin er done.

Well I love this place & all the people who work here. People tend to talk bad about plasma donation centers in Portland and think that they are full of homeless tweakers. (Not 100% true. A couple oddballs but that’s life).
As a not so rich college student I appreciate the opportunity to be able to come donate in a clean & fun environment while getting a bit of cash. It’s a win win!
People that have made rude comments in their reviews are clearly miserable with themselves or are expecting WAY to much. This isn’t the Hilton. Your donating plasma. :)

I have donated multiple times now, and have to drive about 20 miles to get here, but it’s worth the drive! I used to donate at CSL, but wasn’t entirely impressed with the clinic. Talecris is always very clean, the staff is friendly (though sometimes, understandably a little stressed from the amount of people they try to have in and out in a short period of time!), and they’re well trained (in my opinion) in making the procedure as quick and painless as possible. I actually look forward to my donations now! Definitely will be back many more times :) Thank you, Talecris!

First time giving Plasma, but I’ve given blood and platelets for years so I wasnt overly surprised at the procedure. The staff is young and snippy, They’d do better with hiring someone to check folks in but be that as it may it wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t steller either as I had to come back being turned away for not having all my information. ALL being more than just a drivers license and SSN.
If your a first timer, call and ask them what you will need! If you participate in any other medical services they may require more info, so ask.
Once checked in the funny non physical took nearly and hour but that you only do once a year, so again no biggie.
Donation took 40 minutes and I was back out the door with my prepaid debit card in hand. I like the debit card as they can now continually load it and I have a little savings plan going on! $ 50 for the first 4 times then it scales back and forth depending on the number of times donated in a month. You can come 2x in a 7 day rolling period with 48 hours in between. There are current movies playing and really its not a big deal.
Total time this morning was 3.5 hours, much less than the 5 – 6 hours they say it could take. Come early, come often!

I’ve been frequenting this donation center for a few months now! Sometimes it’s busy, of course, but the staff is always nice and smiling, if not a little distractible with all the stuff going on around, but it’s a pretty big space. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a bit of extra money on your end that also saves lives down the line!

We have never been more insulted in our entire lives. I have a friend who is one of those unfortunate souls who cannot use a standard deodorant. She gets severe allergic reactions and it takes weeks for her skin to recover. That said, she tends to use a lot of body sprays and showers more often than most. She has never had severe b.o. and I have never heard anyone complain… today however, when going in to donate plasma… something she does regularly, the people here had the audacity to send her away because she «stinks.» I guess someone didn’t like her mango peach body spray… I asked around the lobby and outside to see if she did in fact «stink,» and everyone said no, a couple people even asked what she was wearing because she smells great… like fruit. We will never go to this Plasma Center again and do NOT recommend them to anyone else. Their customer service is horrible, the lobby is always either too hot or too cold, and they have quite a few junkies and drunks that are dirty and gross that they allow to donate… but they turn her away… when she is clean, well dressed, and trying to do something good. We don’t need the money like the junkies do. maybe that’s the problem.

Kyle, Dylan, Britannia, and Penny are my favorites here. They are really nice and I try to come in when they are working.
They play a lot of current movies on TVs thru out the donation floor and in the waiting room, and they have wifi for you to use also.
Their current hours are;
Sunday: closed
Monday thru Friday: 7am-​630pm
Saturday: 8am-​330pm
You can come in right at closing as long as you are signed in by 630 (or 330 if it’s Saturday), but no later.
The only thing I can really recommend to them is PLEASE INSTALL WINDOW SHADES IN THE WAITING ROOM! It gets really hot when the sun is beating in on your back while your waiting! And please stop playing Ace Ventura movies.

Drink a lot of power aid the day you go in. It will make the process faster. I was ion the bed for only 30 minutes.
There’s a couple of sexy looking women here I like to have put the needle in me.

This is where nurses go to die. The customer service here is terrible. I can’t even call it patient care. The male «nurse» was an absolute d$#k. I actually refused to donate after being subjected to his attitude. Get new people. As an RN myself, I expect far better than this. No wonder there is a plasma shortage. Jesus. Also, would it kill you to disinfect?

I have been donating at Talecris for 3.5 years now and really appreciate the people who work there. I have gotten to know most all of the screener’s, the phlebotomists and even some of the managers and have never had an issue with any of them. Yes, some days take longer than others but you have to take the good with the bad as it mostly depends on the time of the month that longer times happen. A lot of people tend to go near the end of the month because their monthly public assistance runs out. Lately though I have noticed marked improvements to get people onto the donating beds and out the door. I have seen my fair share of rude people come in and I really believe the staff handles it the best they can. No one is perfect and if you’ve ever worked in a customer service position, you know that some people can be difficult to work with. I have never used any of the other Plasma centers in Portland but as far as I’m concerned, this is the best one. I will always recommend Talecris to anyone whose looking for a little extra money.

I have to say the crew tonight is really handling the rude clients. I can feel the frustration of the employees when people are not the nicest to them. People need to understand if you don’t make an appointment, you will be waiting. I have been here since 529pm. I have yet to be screened. I will remember to set an appointment next time just in case they are busy. I thank the front staff for putting up with the people’s rudeness. I do and will continue to recommend this location. Id really like to give this place more than one star, but the girl usually up front (red hair, too much makeup) makes the entire facility look bad. She’s rude, condescending, and treats every donor differently — sometimes she’s nice and other times she’s horrible. I wish some staff would realize not all donors need the money or are drug addicts. Some of us do it because we like extra cash and saving lives… Meaning we will stop coming if we are treated poorly.
Aside from that the facility is old, in the ghetto, and is SLOW. my donation time is usually 40 minutes but there are times I’ve waited three hours total because there isn’t enough staff on hand to get screening completed.
I want to love this center. It’s close to my house, pays well, and plays movies (with sound!) during donations. Maybe if they find some new people for the front & make sure to have enough staff I’ll return. Until then I won’t be back.

Really when it comes down to it it’s all about what the place really is. They take 1600 ml of you plasma and give you $ 70 for something they turn around and make $ 1200 for. The whole thing is a scam and I’m only doing this to make ends meet.
For those really interested, your first time will take a while. I was here 5 – 6 hours my first time and making an appointment helps but not by much. Bring your ID and your social security card just incase and a piece of mail that is post marked.
The current rates for a first time doner is $ 50,$ 50,$ 40,$ 60.
They give you stupid little prepaid card that never have a decent amount to withdraw so always try to make sure you know that before trying to use them.
Besides that watch out for the first and last of the month because it’s always crazy busy.
