I’ve been to The Clearing a few times now, and every single time I leave feeling better than when I arrived. Katie is obviously very intuitive, and a gifted healer, but she’s also very straightforward and pragmatic, which i really appreciate in a health care professional. And as pleased as I have been with the acupuncture I’ve gotten here, I have to say I’m even more impressed with Katie’s skills as an herbalist. She’s got an incredible knack for finding just the right formula for any given ailment. Plus the office is really pretty and welcoming. Love it.

Katie provides a great combination of active listening, compassion, and professionalism that puts you immediately at ease in her presence. She knows this medicine and knows how to apply it effectively so that no matter what your issues are, you feel like you’re going to not only survive but flourish under her care. I guess at the end of the day, it’s about feeling safe and that you’re back in control. Katie gives you all of that with a wry smile and deep sensitivity.

Katie Stem has given me the best acupuncture treatments that I’ve had in Portland. I’m very impressed with her knowledge of points and Chinese herbs. I highly recommend seeing her if you are in need of wellness and noticeable change.
