Richmond bar is a cozy little spot on division with a great atmosphere. One night after a few beers I stumbled upon their garlic burger w fries and the rest is history. Its consistent in taste and freshness. Their mac and cheese is just sat good as the burger. HIGHLY recommend this spot.

Dear bartender, You were getting your ass kicked tonight, and were gracious with everyone, including the guy when you were 15 people deep who said, «I don’t know who’s next, but can I order?» You are always professional and awesome. Makes being here very comfortable. Thank you. Also, the chop salad is super good. Thanks for being the best!

Stopped at The Richmond for drinks before dinner at Pok Pok. Usually we go to Whiskey Soda — but Richmond had a table and looked like a good spot. Great vibe/ambiance. Good cocktail and beer selection. What we had was good — but it should have been great. Location — fantastic Interior — very cool Patio — even better Service — God awful There are no servers. Signs say order at the bar. There were two bartenders and no servers. Had 30 minutes before dinner to have a couple of drinks. Took over 20 minutes to order. Not only did we not have time for two drinks as planned — we had to slam our drinks and get out of there. It was about 2⁄3 full(7:00 on a Friday). I can’t imagine trying to get a drink when it’s packed. They are losing so much $$ by trying to save $$ not have servers. Next time — back to Whiskey Soda

Really cool neighborhood spot. Great outdoor area with a fireplace and great drinks too. I really like the vibe here. Division needs more bars like this one

Small, charming bar with great snacks and drinks. I haven’t had any of their more substantial fare but their snacky offerings(like the olive tapenade) are great. The honeysuckle cocktail is amazing. I bet their other cocktails are great too but I can never get past the honeysuckle. They also have a great selection of hard liquor and a small but well curated tap list. Oh and the staff is really nice. Great bar!

The bar is ok, the back patio is nice. If I was there just to drink it would be a good place. However, I was also looking for a decent burger and thought I’d give this a try. The burger simply isn’t good. The patty was more than likely a frozen patty and the quality of the meat was low. I want to say Safeway type quality, IE the big factory farm really bad for you stuff. I felt sick after eating it. I thought about putting it down after one bite, but didn’t want to be overly rude. I should have though. I really felt sick that evening and it’s a real turn off for burger eaters. But, if you’re looking for a place to drink and hang out you can’t go wrong at this place. No waitress service, just order at the bar only, from what I could tell.

A friend and I were looking for a new cocktail bar to go to and I stumbled across this place while searching on Unilocal. It’s small and low key. They don’t have loud pop music blaring like most places. They do have one tv! The cocktails were delicious and classic. Service was great, we always had drinks in front of us.

Great back patio, awesome cocktails and super fun staff who know how to banter. Big fan of the old fashioned and the burger. Cosy neighborhood bar well worth a visit

Bartender was SORUDE. My boyfriend and his buddy went up to get myself and two of our other friends drinks. The bartender needed to see all of our IDs. Normal, get it. We were sitting less than five feet away and she says she needs to ALL of us, even after us waving. Cool, ok. So we all got up there with our IDs and you would have though the bartender assumed that we were underage(which is sweet but we’re all old as shit). And then to talk down to us like we’ve never ordered a glass of wine. It’s a 5 dollar glass of wine, we’re not in Napa. Calm yourself. It’s not worth putting up with some girls power trip to wait for a beer. Walk 600 more feet and you’ll find a better bar.

How have I not reviewed this place? This is one of our regular spots. They have a great selection of scotch for my boyfriend, and a nice cocktail menu for me. The atmosphere, particular the back patio, is the highlight of Richmond. We’ve sat in the booths, out front, at the bar, and out back, and have no complaints. When it gets busy, it has a fun vibe. We recently just ate there, too, and were not disappointed. Each of us got the roast beef salad and we shared the olive tapenade, which came with bread. We’ll definitely try out more of the food menu soon. No complaints here!

A perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink or two. Enjoyed inexpensive draft beer and a mezcal-cocktail that had some great depth. Smoky flavor with a lot of booze, it was right up my alley. Mezcal is the tequila-type liquor with the worm that should be served more often. Great tunes and service throughout the hour+ we were there. Nice ambiance that was quiet enough to have a good convo, but loud enough to let you know you were in good company. Our bill was around $ 25 for a beer and three drinks. Must order bevs at the bar. Salud!

The boy and I killed a bit of time in this dark, mildly divey bar before dinner while we were visiting, and had quite a nice time. They make some killer cocktails(both alcoholic and non), and did I mention some of them have beets in them? Mind-blown, I tell you. The staff is friendly, and there are tons of bar bites, should you be settling in for a long visit. Perfect for a quick pick-me-up!

Easily one of my favorite bars in Portland. Would come here nearly every night after work. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and above all else they know how to make drinks properly. I’m not sure if they still have it on their menu since I’ve been gone for a year now but do yourself a favor and get the burger.

Really cool back patio area. Good beer, ok food. I’ll be back for the beer and ambiance. I had the burger — it was decent, but I probably wouldn’t order it again. Not very juicy and it seemed like the patty wasn’t fresh.

Great patio vibes and some of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Bartenders were fast and friendly. Get the«Checkmate» cocktail. You won’t regret it.

How does a pork cheek hand pie sound right about now? Sounds deeeeeelicious to me. I had one last night and it has awakened my appetite for more manna from this place. Washed it down with one of their rotating beers on tap. So, I guess this review is only about the pork cheek hand pies(which comes with an excellent side of pickled vegetables BTW), but let me tell you the trip over there is worth it for this alone.

What a horrible bar. The staff is incredibly rude and inept at adequately managing the bar. The food was awful and whomever thought the flavor palette of the olive tapenade was good needs to get their brain checked. The bread provided with it could have broken teeth off it was so hard. I will never ever return. Waste of money and time.

Location: Right next to a thai restaurant, a sex shop, and pok pok the best thai restaurant in the U.S.(lol) Customer Service: Walked right in straight to the bar and the bartendar didn’t ignore us despite the busy atmosphere. Warm welcoming and ready to make our drinks. Décor: At night it was very dim inside but the ambiance they have is a more intimate sociable setting which is nice. They also have outdoor seatting(picnic table style seating) Presentation of Food: –drinks How did the food taste?: We just got a brews and I got a bourboun cocktail which was quite tasty actually. Overall Experience: If they had something like this in the bay area I wouldn’t mind going to grab drinks and eat small dinners here. It has a good vibe to it! Would I Come Back?: When in Portland and waiting for my name to be called at Pok Pok this is the go to place to drink and wait!

Besides it being extremely dark inside, it was a pretty cool little joint. My friends ordered salads; the classic wedge(with ranch instead of bleu cheese) and the London Carpachio. I just got a beer that was on special. It wasn’t crowded, but I can see that it could become so on a weekend night. Regardless, the service was good and we enjoyed our time here. This place is pretty non-descript, but there’s something very cool about it. I’m just thrilled that my neighborhood has been revamped and places like this have popped up. Friends from Beaverton now drive to my side of town to check out places like the Richmond Bar because they’re sick of chains.
