Very quintessentially portland, so much so that they share their indoor dining space with another eatery. We got their Whole Farm and the Ham and Cheese and added a fried egg, cause really, you can add a fried egg on anything and make it taste amazing. I would have preferred the eggs to be runnier, but that’s me being picky. Their waffle is their bread and butter, cripsy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. It was hearty enough to stand up to the loaded topping on it and the flavors of all their components were spot on, particularly their thick cut bacon. For savory waffles, it’s still pretty sweet, but that just makes it all the more decadent.

Been going for years, A must stop when driving through Portland even if in a rush! Plus it’s right across from the street from the best donuts in town, Talk about a one two punch! The savory waffles are amazing as are the seasonal ones. Honestly I have not had a waffle there I didn’t like. If there is a line it’s def. worth the wait and if there isn’t a line count your self lucky!

So, I googled«Best breakfast in Portland» and The Waffle Window popped up! Unfortunately, it wasn’t open early enough because my friend and I were heading out to Multonomah Falls. So, we caught this place after Multonomah Falls. This place is literally a window. There is a big menu on the side of the wall, so you can look at the menu and then place your order at the window. There are benches for outside seating only. When my friend and I got here, there was a line, so it gave us some time to read the menu and to figure out what we wanted. What we ordered: –Three B’s(Bacon, Brie, Basil): Peppered bacon, sliced brie cheese and fresh basic served on waffle with house made peach jam on the side. –Farm Fusion(Vegetarian): Balsamic-red wine braised mushrooms and onions, roasted red peppers, spinach, fresh tomato, topped with chèvre marinated in lemon zest-thyme infused e.v.o.o! These waffles were AMAZING! Nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the inside. The waffle is sweet too! I personally don’t like eating sweet and savory, so I didn’t really eat my jam. Without the jam, the three b’s and the waffle was kind of dry. All the flavors worked really well together though. The farm fusion was really good too! Overall, really good waffles. Next time if I ever come back to visit, I want to try their sweet waffle creations! The descriptions of these waffles sounded soooo good.

Found this place after Unilocaling«best brunch» while driving through Oregon. We arrived around 9:45am and got very convenient parking across the street. At that time there were no lines(we were surprised). We walked right to the counter and ordered three waffles. Mine was the banana nutella– 4⁄5 stars. Perfectly crisp and bananas were fresh! Only downside was it was so sweet from the chocolate sauce they drizzle on top. With that I also ordered there mint green tea lemonade, it was delicious! Pricing was great, they accept most major card companies but also have a sign stating cash is easier.

I would highly recommend everyone to come to the Waffle Window at least once! It’s quite an interesting place. They require you to order outside at the little window: RINGTHEBUTON if you don’t see anyone there, and they will come right away. There is actually a little inside area in the restaurant nearby that has seating connected to the Waffle Window, which is pretty convenient, but definitely housed the smallest tables I’ve ever seen used for a place for eating. Our 3 plates barely fit on the table. The waffles here were delicious! I ordered the nutella and banana and there was definitely a whip cream overload but I easily scraped it off once I got the waffle. My parents ordered the Three B’s and the Ham&Cheese and they both loved those as well! This is definitely a unique place to try and they definitely do a very good job at making their waffles. Everyone around us was also raving about their food, and I am really happy I stopped here right before leaving Portland.

Came here on a Sunday morning around 1030am and there was little to no wait(10min tops). Ordered: — Jalapeño bacon cheese burger waffle– this is my favorite of the three we ordered, very savory, bacon is perfect, loved the salsa on it! — Ham and cheese waffle– this is good too, next time i would add bacon and a fried egg to it for perfection — Pearl sugar waffle– not too sweet, tasted great in rainy weather You order from a little window and there is outside seating under a tent. Waffles taste great and they are affordable, yay!

My friend and I were hungry and we just wanted something small and fast. I wanted sweet and she wanted savory so this was the perfect place for us. I got the banana nutella waffle and she got the triple b’s(bacon, brie, basil) It was a cold rainy evening and the lady at the window took my order(she was friendly). After I ordered she asked if I wanted to wait inside to which I declined because I was thinking it would only take 5 minutes to get our waffles. Nope, it took over 15 minutes and when she finally handed them to me she uttered oh sh*t and then closed the window.(I’m not really sure why) Right after she closed the window and walked away I realized she never gave me any forks and there were no forks outside on the counter ledge. We were in a rush and late for our friends arrival so I decided to forget the forks and just be on our way. The car started to smell of delicious waffles and we were super excited to eat them. They were worth the wait because they were delicious my friend loved her triple b’s and I loved my nutella banana. The waffle was crisp and not soggy. The whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon was delightful. So even though we waited forever they still get 4 stars because the waffles were tasty and reasonably priced. Now I know to just wait inside next time.

I do have to say that these are the best waffles that I have ever had. I’ve been here on two occasions, and I felt like I got to appreciate the quality of these waffles a lot more this time around. I came on a rainy day and I got the standard Pearl Sugar Waffle, which was perfect. There’s just something so satisfying about eating a warm waffle in the rain, try it some time! :D The waffle itself was doughy while being a little crunchy on the outside, and I loved the fact that it wasn’t super sweet. However, if you are a sweet fan, you can always put syrup on it! The place is literally a window in a wall, but there’s space outside to sit down and eat. If I’m ever back in Portland, I’m pretty sure I’m going to channel my inner Leslie Knope and eat all the waffles I possibly can.

Still a huge fan. Came back recently and ordered a bunch of things — this time we sat next door, and man is that awesome when it’s as cold as it is now. We ordered at the window, then sat next door and they brought our food out of a counter there. The whole farm and three B’s are just as good as they always have been. They’re also on amazon prime now! I can’t imagine it would be as good, but to not leave the comfort of your own home and have waffles delivered to you… that is the life.

Oh my god. How have I lived here over a year and never visited The Waffle Window? Well, bad news, waistline: I’ve found a new favorite spot for breakfast-time splurging! Much like The Shitty Beatles, The Waffle Window is NOT just a clever name. It’s a window from which you can buy waffles. They have limited indoor seating at whatever restaurant to which it’s attached, but I opted to sit outside on the covered patio. They call your name over an intercom, and soon enough you have a piping hot, delicious waffle. And delicious they are! They’re made of some sort of special yeast-leavened dough and then topped with pearl sugar that they caramelize for a sweet and crispy treat. They serve up both sweet and savory waffles, but I went for one called the B3, which I think toes the line between the two categories. Topped with bacon, brie and basil, it’s also served with a side of peach jam. For an extra $ 1.50 I added a fried egg on top, because yum. I’ve seen the line here be RIDICULOUS, and as a queue-adverse human, I probably wouldn’t wait. But when the line is short, you can guarantee that I’ll be stepping up. I have a number of other waffles that I need to try, and soon.

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. But what if the window sells waffles? Everything sold here is nothing short of fantastic. Doesn’t matter if it’s savory or sweet; I’ve had both, and the Farm Fusion was just as good as the Berry Bliss. Plus, it’s the perfect place to showcase a bit of Portland’s eccentric soul. When we arrived at 9:30AM, there was already quite a line leading up to the bright blue window with a bustling but unseen kitchen. The tip jar was appropriately adorned with a picture of Leslie Knope, Pawnee’s premier waffle enthusiast. We placed our order and went to the side of the building to find a picnic table. And then the waffles came and blew me out of the water. The medley of flavors and the sweet light waffle play together perfectly. In short, the Waffle Window has set a new standard by which I am judging all waffles in the future.

I thought it was good but I wasnt over impressed. The concept is great. There’s a ton of waffle varieties to choose from. You order at the window and then sit outside or sit inside where there is a small area of seating shared with the attached restaurant. It was a bit weird sitting inside. We were the only ones dinning at the Waffle Window while everyone else was coming in to eat at the restaurant they share the space with. My waffle was good but had a strange after taste like they made a completely different waffle first and didnt clean the griddle before making mine. I also like my waffles more crisp than fluffy. I think I will try a sweet instead of savory waffle if I go back. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

I love waffles! I was pretty happy when eating and finishing! It was the right amount of fruits on top.!! Yum! The berry lemonade was good too. Be warned there is not a lot of seating out side. Lots of people came and brought their dogs so that area fills up fast. Especially when I went in July — everyone was out enjoying the nice weather too. I wish we had this in Vancouver…

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am so impressed with their delicious waffles, I have purposely made a point to visit each time I’m in town. I have even dreamed of ways to have their tastey waffles to be delivered to Seattle! It’s probably best for my health I do not have one down the block from me =D What I love about their waffles is first their belgium style ingredients(sugar) that give it a sugar pop and denseness. It really is divine! No biting into air as other waffles tend to be. The next best thing I love is the savory selections! I can think of so many combinations I would want to try! I also love that they offer a seasonal menu to try out their sweets and savories. Their creativeness of waffles, the creativity I have thinking of ingredients I would want to try and their brick and morter, literally a window, bring something that no other business have!

We came here exactly one year ago and made our second visit this past Sunday. It seems as if I only let myself go on holidays so what better way than to stuff our faces in glorious savory and dessert waffles at Waffle Window?! The first time, we ordered one savory and one dessert waffle. We thought that one each would be enough? Turns out… we enjoyed our waffles soooo much that we decided to order a third waffle to-go so we can have it for later lol. I kid you not– Not even 10 seconds back in the car, we devoured the third waffle lol! Farm fusion, blueberry cheesecake, bananarumba, & the banana/nutella! NOMZ! It’s inexpensive too! I love waffle window and can’t wait to get back here to try everything else!!!
