The Warrior Room

Since moving to Southeast a year ago, I’ve tried out a number of gyms in the area in my search to find a nearby home gym with a good variety of consistently intense workouts at a reasonable price. So far, nothing has stuck… too expensive, too repetitive, too far from home, etc etc etc.
Fast forward to The Warrior Room opening just a couple months ago, and ridonkulously close to home to boot! Upon noticing their sign, I high-​tailed it right on over to Groupon to see if they happened to be offering any deals to help build a client base – score! So far I’m 6 classes in to my 12-​class package and I’m smitten.
I reckon I’m in pretty alright shape having participated in many a boot camp in my day, but hot damn, these kettlebell workouts are brutal! I leave every class feeling as though I’ve just had my arse handed to me, and without fail spend the next couple days groaning contentedly with every movement of my sore muscles. I keep going back because these challenging workouts, exhausting as they are, leave me feeling strong, empowered, and totally badass. After only a few classes I’ve already noticed a significant increase in strength, stamina, and muscle tone, YAY!
The environment is very friendly, and I think a stronger sense of community will grow as a regular client base continues to develop. The trainers are awesome, no-​nonsense yet affirming, and great at correcting form as needed. Lastly, the value is unbeatable compared to any comparable gym in this area that I have found. By golly, I think I’ve found the gym to call home. Even if paying the full price for classes post-​Groupon may be a bit rough on my adorable little social work salary, to me, it’s worth it.
I’ve already roped my roommate in to giving this place a go, too, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a consistently challenging workout!
