Hotel restaurants always seem to be hit or miss, but not this one. In a quick weekend stay, we enjoyed both a room service breakfast and a happy hour pit stop here, both of which were great ideas. First on the breakfast: definitely must try to breakfast burrito(it’s huge) and add the chorizo sausage(made in-house, delicious, and not too spicy). Another great option was the Salmon Bagel, which comes with five or six great salmon filets, plenty of onions and capers, and lightly-whipped cream cheese for easy spreading – but you can make it up as you want(instead of having it pre-made). HH options were great for the small plates and the drinks. Draft menu is a bit confusing(name of the brewery but not the style of the beer? WTH?) but thankfully the staff are pretty knowledgeable and can help you out easily. They also tend to have some rotating taps not listed on the menu, as well as a cider or two, so be sure to inquire about those…

Delicious dinner of pork medallion. They were able to seat a table of 10 and the service was excellent the prix fix menu is very nice and the duck confit was cooked to perfection. Beautiful view and a fun setting made for a great night.

We are staying at the hotel. I asked if they had vegan options and they said yes. So I got a «vegetable plate» for $ 18. Next time I’ll order vegan pizza(room service) from anywhere else. We also had breakfast here(gave them a second chance). The potato burrito was actually ok. But we had to keep calling the waitress to refill our coffee and bring us milk, sugar, water, etc.

Amazing! Got the bbq shrimp and the crab deviled eggs. Delicious! I wasn’t crazy about the cheddar biscuit but everything else was amazing. And if you stay at the hotel, you get a free wine tasting so I took my glass of wine into the restaurant! And the service was great. I think it’s a great place for happy hour with business associates as well as a cute place to drink with friends.

I like being next to the river, who doesn’t. Our server was pleasant and informative. We were there for Happy Hour and had their seasonal cocktail or «spiced, spiked cider», then there were the fried pickles mostly sweet and a hint of tartness, then there was the BBQ shrimp with the biscuit; shrimp were excellent biscuit needs to be a little lighter, then there was the Dungeness crab deviled eggs were most excellent. Could I say more? Well yes but I’ve got a few more reviews to write.

Special occasion, check! Hotel on the river, check! Classy restaurant with great river view! check! Broadway musical 42nd. St. just blocks away, check! $ 60 bottle of wine from home in hand, check! Window dining table, check! Waiting expectedly for the stereotypical elegant waiter when a teen-something looking young woman introduces herself as our waitress. We smile politely with slightly sinking hearts assuming she will know more about selfies than fine food and wine. Minutes later we and Abby are discussing the intricacies of braised cabbage recipes and the superiority of Willamette Valley Merlots over those of Napa Valley giving the global uptick in degree days. In short Abby was easily the best waitress we have every had and we ended up sharing a glass of our wine with her. Our expensive Cab disappointed us and Abby had the confidence to tell us the wine would have been OK for a $ 15 bottle. Oh yea, the food: Amazing appetizers in the bar area. Poor selection of happy hour drinks so we had beer. The dinner menu was creative and our food perfectly cooked. My wife is a gourmet cook and dinners out often pale compared to her cooking. This place excelled! But the braised cabbage would have been even better using red cabbage and a dash of bacon.

After cruising the disappointing food booth choices at Hempstalk next door in waterfront park we saw Three Degrees rising up and shining like a beacon in the night. We were saved! Or so we thought. The choices on the menu were decidedly not inexpensive. Unilocal gives this place two dollar signs. That’s way short of the mark, especially in light of what you get.(There was a steak on the dinner menu for $ 46.) Were the prices based solely on the admittedly awesome views? Apparently. Our«dinner» consisted of two salad offerings that could best be described as «side» and inadequate even by that meager definition. They were not well executed or interesting and improperly dressed. We also tried a tiny nibble of an oyster for $ 4 and a smattering of a tart for $ 13 that would have been more at home in a bakery case for a few bucks. Two side salads, an oyster, a tiny tart, and two pints resulted in a whopping $ 45 ticket. Service was fine but perfunctory, certainly nothing to write home about. We have the ability to appreciate the value of locally-sourced and well-crafted small plates(and pay accordingly) but what we experienced was not it. I walked out starving, in search of Second Dinner, and full of regret at having passed by the dingy booths out in the park.

The food was very good. Bar service slow. The view was great and the hostess and valet parking attendants were very friendly. The Sommelier was very informative about the wine options as well as history about the chef. She gave a great overview of the food as well. She went into detail about their sourcing of meat as well as the herb garden they have on the roof. The only negative thing I would say about our experience was the wait staff and the bar service. They were quite slow. The staff were very friendly but seemed overworked. Drinks took 15+ min to arrive. The Sommelier was out corked and poured the wine and gave the overview of the food and the chef and the history of the place and left before the drinks arrived.

Came in on a Tuesday night for a couple beers and appetizers. Joe, the friendly bartender suggested the house specialty BBQ Shrimp. They were delicious. After that he suggested the Lamb Riblets which were even better. It wasn’t very crowded, maybe because it was Tuesday. The view from the patio is great although I sat at the bar. I would return as it was an easy walk from the Marriott and the food was good.

I am staying at the hotel and had been out walking around all day and beat so decided to just eat in the hotel. I was very, very pleasantly surprised. I ordered a beet salad, halibut as an entrée, and the pecan pie bread pudding dessert. The beet salad was thinly sliced red and golden beets with watercress, nuts, and lardon — with a light vinaigrette. Very good. The halibut was exceptional — perfectly cooked, tender and moist with a nice sear. It was served on a bed of pea gnocchi and fresh, sauteed corn with a flavored oil around the rim — it was one of the best halibut dishes I’ve ever had. The dessert was okay, nice flavor, not too sweet. However the sweet potato ice cream served with it was a little grainy. I would go back.

This place had a nice classy ambiance with an awesome view. However, the food is below average. Their Kale Caesar was very bland, but chickpea crutons were good. Fried home pickles were sweet. The batter was good, but the butter pickle was very bland. The lamb riblets were over salty and dill sweet potatoes had no dill and no salt. The sweet potatoe soup was good. Service was very good.

There’s nothing that relaxes me more than having a cocktail near the water on a summer day and this is a perfect place! I enjoy sitting on the porch and having happy hour bites like their sweet potato fries and salmon spread with bread, or grabbing a rocking chair to sip a drink in, but even more than that, I love TD’s PopUP, their outdoor taco bar. No, not like a salad bar, but an outdoor bar you sit at to eat taco’s and drink tequila cocktails(they actually have more than just tequila). If you don’t make it between May to October, you will totally miss it. The grilled tacos are a bit spendy($ 3 or $ 4 each and rather small) but I love the interesting flavors they come in. My favorites are the«Al Pastor» which has goat cheese, roasted garlic-guajillo salsa & pineapple and the«Smoked Brisket» which has blue cheese, charred serrano salsa & avocado. Either Three Degrees or TD’s PopUP, you will have a lovely view of the river, get good eats and a fair dose of vitamin D.

Three Degrees has a lot of nerve. I give them a negative review on their VERYBADFOOD and I get an invitation from their Business manager Ashley F, asking me to call her for my next reservation. What part of «I’M NEVEREATINGTHEREAGAIN» don’t they understand? By the way, a correction on my previous NEGATIVE post. The Tequila Sunrise drinks served in a very small that was luke warm orange juice without the tequila were $ 9.00 each not $ 8.00 as I previously posted. Just a humorous thought, the orange juice was warmer the my eggs benedict.

This place looks really cute from the outside, and since it’s next to the river, I had high hopes. The ambiance is nice, and it’s really clean, but it was empty. The menu was pretty small. It started with small plates, and had about five full entrée options. I wasn’t feeling it, so we decided to only stay for a drink and some apps. The worst part, it was terribly overpriced. $ 5 for one deviled egg cut in half with maybeee a teaspoon of crab on top? Ridiculous. I tried the sangria based on the waitress’ recommendation, but it was way too sweet. We also tried the fried pickles, or should I say cucumbers, and a couple different types of oysters. And $ 50 later, we went for dinner elsewhere.

Such a gem for a hotel restaurant! Three Degrees has indoor booths or plenty of patio seating overlooking the harbor. It was perfect to sit at a high top outside on a warm evening listening to the Blues Festival and sharing numerous small plates including ribs, oyster sliders, bacon wrapped oysters, salads, fries, hazelnut chocolate flourless cake with gelato, and more. Service was fast and efficient with great descriptions of dishes, what to share, and the order for them to come in. We were seated immediately and were totally impressed with the food, ambiance, and wait staff. Definitely eat here if you are in Portland and especially if you are staying at RiverPlace, which we were. We had a drink in the bar each night as we listened to the Blues Festival music and had coffee on the deck in the morning. It’s wonderful to be on the river. Loved it!!! Great service, very friendly, and accommodating!

After a nice early morning wokout sesh, my bf and I met up with my parent’s at the hotel restaurant. I kind of felt like the service was slow, and it seemed like our waiter took a liking to my bf lol. He paid NO attention to my parents and I, and had all of his attention towards the bf. it was pretty funny. He was a nice guy overall though. Mom ordered the: STEELCUTOATS Driedcherries, toasted almonds, brown sugar $ 6 –She didn’t like it only because she’s never had steel cut oats before. She didn’t like that hard texture. so she basically didn’t eat it lol. I actually thought it was pretty good! Dad ordered the: 2EGGSANYSTYLE Choice of: bacon, sausage or ham $ 11 –Came with a side of potatoes and he chose the bacon. The potatoes were seasoned with too much paprika and it gave off a real smokey flavor. Wasn’t that good. We all agreed that there was too much seasoning on it, and it’s pre-seasoned. Bf got the same thing as my dad but chose sausages instead. I got the: EGGWHITESCRAMBLE Greens, quinoa, tomato, avocado $ 12 –Generally good. The scramble had lots of flavor, but I didn’t care for the quinoa much. They did make it really fluffy, though! Eh, pass.

The staff here are AMAZING. I was helped by Jerrett and Charlie and they just had the best personalities! They were knowledgeable, and friendly and thoroughly explained all menu items. Aside from the staff the food was fantastic ! The chefs prepare items in season and I like how the menu changes to keep things fresh. I ate the Halibut with Split Pea Gnocchi this time, and my mouth was literally in Heaven! I have never tasted a gnocchi that melted in my mouth so perfectly. When the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is a wonderful view! They have specialty cocktails for the 21+ crowd and with a purchase of the advertised drink, $ 1 goes to a foundation which I think is great! Very nice wine selection and the drinks were definitely poured with love Overall a wonderful experience for my second time going.

Went for lunch and enjoyed the wonderful outdoor seating. Service was good and there may not be a better outdoor patio in Portland. Sitting by the river and along the active walkway is very enjoyable. I went with my daughter and she ordered salmon while I had their house-made Tempeh-Mushroom Burger and fries. My burger and fries were good. I would give it a 3.5 stars if I could rate it individually. My daughter liked her salmon but wasn’t impressed with the polenta side dish it was served with. I had a couple bites and it was overly rich for my taste. This place is good, but for the price and location, I would just expect more in Portland.

Went to Three Degrees for happy hour yesterday and had a pretty good experience! First of al, their happy hour is an awesome deal! 50% off all small plates, and reasonable drinks. And anywhere that has a weekend happy hour is A Ok in my book :) Some of my favorite dishes we had were the fish tacos, scallop ceviche and the deviled eggs. We also had the truffle & dill fries, but I wish they would use fresh dill instead of dried. Overall a solid happy hour spot on the waterfront!

Hubs & I pretty much walked all of the downtown area and ended along the waterfront. Sweet hubs thought we should relax so I could have a glass of wine. We stumbled upon the Three Degrees Bar which is inside the RiverPark Hotel(absolutely beautiful 5 star hotel). The had an outside patio with a great view — sold! Our charming server Natalie let us pick where we wanted to sit. They had a nice cocktail & beer menu which made us happy. I chose the River Hugger which the proceeds went toward supporting the waterfront of Portland. It was yummy! Hubs had a Descender IPA& was happy as well. We ordered some small nibbles which were a trio of oysters & fried pickles. We’re sort of obsessed with fried pickles. Both dishes were very good. The oysters were fresh & clean tasting. The oyster shooter with tomato broth was my favorite! The fried pickles were a tad on the sweet side which isn’t my favorite, but the fry was nicely done & not soggy. Natalie was the cherry on top of the entire experience. She was extremely friendly & knowledgable about Portland areas. She pointed me in the direction of some great boutique shopping along Hawthorne, experimental breweries for hubs to try out, & superb restaurants along Division. Thanks Natalie & Three Degrees for the lovely afternoon!
