U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

I came here to buy some boxes and it was sketchy as hell. The «office» is a trailer with an old couch and workout equipment parked in front. It’s not an actual building, but a trailer in a parking lot under the overpass. I think the guys that work here might live here. I walked in and right by the entrance, some guy was watching a sitcom on the TV in his «office» and yelled out to some other guy to take care of me. I couldn’t see the other guy because there were stacks of flat boxes everywhere. I walked a little more and saw the other guy and a couch randomly in there. It was weird. Anyway, they had plenty of boxes. Large boxes (18×18×24) were $ 3 each even though U-Haul’s website says they cost $ 1.70 each. Sketchy. I wanted to buy some packing tape too to carry home but they didn’t have any bags and I had to walk home with the boxes.
On the plus side, they definitely have different sizes of boxes and they are cheaper than going to UPS or Downtown Storage nearby, but at $ 3 a box, that’s still more than I wanted to pay and the place was just so weird. On my credit card, it showed up as a sale for Vans Towing Inc.

I needed to rent a pickup and this place was the most geographically efficient.
Can be difficult to reach by phone, but once I did the reservation went smoothly. They even called back to double check as they manage more than one location. The yard is a little haphazard and they are guarded by a fierce gate, under 405. The assistant was easy to work with on the pickup, and the owner same on the return. They have pickups, vans and shorter box trucks. Recommended.
