Unleashed by Petco

Got a nice comfy teal harness for my dog today, she’s got a barrel shape with a deep chest for a small dog and it’s hard to find a good harness that fits well but thankfully they had one. Nice to see a good variety of harnesses which are essential for smaller dogs as a regular leash and collar can easily damage their throat. Also got a squeaky crocodile toy which was enthusiastically chewed on by the dogs when I got home. Staff was eager to help as soon as we entered the store. Had an interesting selection of baked doggie goods too.

This place is wonderful. Came here last night to give our shepherd a bath and they supplied everything needed to get that accomplished. The price was great and did not put a large dent in my pocket. I will be coming back again to give her future bath in the near future.

We’ve been here several times, starting with their opening weekend, so it’s about time I review this place. This place is my neighborhood, and it is now my go-​to place for my doggys’ food. Each time we pop in here, the staff is really nice and always available to help or answer any questions.
One time we came in here asking about birds (we’d had a regular bird hanging out in our yard). One of the employees told us about the breed and brought out a book to help us match the description. He even recommended another location that might have a wider variety of food for this type of bird. I was surprised because he was genuinely wanting to help, not just make a sale.
We’re also always asked if we need help out to the car. They have a do-​it-​yourself dog wash station, and a variety of treats for your furry babies. Be sure to check out the clearance section in one of the back aisles. I’ve scored some adorable sweaters, costumes, and toys for less than half the price. You’ll find me at this location at least once a month.

Very friendly staff; had all products we need for our dog. Nice that it’s in our neighborhood. Love it!

Items are nice but general items that can be found elsewhere without leaving the store feeling like crap. The natural food products can be bought at other small vendors in the area and after my first experience there, I’m willing to pay a bit extra to not be treated like a criminal for nothing.
My experience:
Went into a Unleashed for the first time, was in the area and wanted to go buy my cats some new dishes and check out what else the store had to offer. I had never been there before but it was a few minutes away and I wanted to see what made it different from the regular Petco.
I went in there with my partner and my one year old, we didn’t have large bags, didn’t even bring in a diaper bag, or even a stroller. We carried our son in the store and I only had a purse.
The store associate immediately said hello, which was nice but then followed us continuously asking us if we needed anything in particular and if we needed help. We kept saying no but got asked every time we moved to another aisle. As my partner and I were talking to each other, I noticed that she was talking to another associate and directing her attention to us. I’ve worked retail, I know what that look is for. She suddenly had things to «fix» a few steps away from us constantly.
I found some dishes that I liked for my cats and I noticed in the corner of my eye that she was standing off to the side a little bit away from us kind of staring while trying not to be obvious about it. My son had kicked off his shoe and I bent to grab it off the floor, with the cat dishes obviously still in my hand, when I stood back up, the associate immediately walked over to us and asked if I wanted the dishes put on the counter while holding her hand out. I felt obligated to say sure and handed them to her. She reminded me… again… that she could help us find anything we needed. Even though we already said we were just looking around.
I felt like we were being treated like shop lifters. We weren’t dressed oddly nor were we carrying big bags or acting suspiciously. Just walking around and looking at different items… you know, like the way people normally do in a store.

This store is really clean, very boutique like. The staff is wonderful, friendly and cares about you and your pets. Most importantly they are genuine. Carrie, Danika and Vick are wonderful people to even just chat with. The best thing is the prices are normal to what you would find at a normal pet store. This store is tucked away in a very cute neighborhood. :)

Today was my sixth or seventh visit so I figure I should probably write my review. I’m only writing this review for the self dog wash part, I haven’t bought anything else from here.
I stumbled into this store by accident, driving around the area. We stopped in to see if they had something to buy our spoiled German Shepherd. Turns out, they have a bunch of stuff to buy, but the best is you can wash your own dog.
For $ 10, they provide the wash tub, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, towels, anything you could possibly need.
My dog is a force to be reckoned with on the field, but she is very sketchy in situations involving unknown outcome. I am not able to take her to a groomer so doing it myself is great.
The staff is friendly and always offer her a cookie after her bath to keep this a positive experience.
I will be coming back for sure!
