My car looks beautiful!!! I had never had my car detailed before, since 2008! There was a weird crust developing on the headlights and my car was just looking dull. When I picked up my car it was like it spent a day at the spa! Exfoliated, waxed and moisturized! If your car needs a pick-​me-​up Uptown Auto Detail is the place to do it! Jon and his team did an awesome job on my car.

Jon is outstanding. I’ve had him work on all the cars we’ve owned for many, many years. I trust him. He and his team do fantastic work. I highly recommend him.

I had my car washed and detailed by Uptown Auto yesterday, and my car actually looks brand new inside and out. I am amazed! They made me love my car again! I highly recommend. They’re also incredibly nice and accommodating. My parents have been using Uptown for years to get their (much more expensive) cars fixed up to sell, and they refuse to go anywhere else.

These guys are amazing.
Took my car in for a full detail as we just moved from out east and needed some West Coast shine. Imagine what two winters of salt, dirt, grime do to a beige interior with a black exterior. Jon and his team did away with all that. The car looks amazing like I just drove it off the lot.
No complaints. Keeping a black car looking great is a lot of work, I’m glad I found a place that will help me out.

I don’t review businesses very often and I consider myself very particular about car care. With that said, Jon and his crew at Uptown do incredible work and have an excellent eye for detail! I was so impressed with just the basic clean and wax on my 06 Audi S4, I can’t wait to see what the results would be from a full 3 step process :). They even removed all of the stubborn, dried-​up wax residue from last time I lazily waxed it and didn’t tape off. Plus, the fact at all services are negotiated up-​front at $ 40/​hr flat rate, it’s well worth it IMO to let the pros handle your detailing needs every once in a while.

Don’t think because of the price you will get a decent detailing job here. I was wrong by choosing them because they were the most expensive. I’ve had better detailing jobs for half the price. Shoot, even those quick drive up ones have done a better job on my boyfriends truck lining.
I won’t go into a huge diatribe because if I could explain this in person it would take a while. Because there is a lot to say about my experience here. Let me just say that the dirt on the lining wasn’t really the light reflection from his shop ceiling lights (like he said). I walked up to the finished truck and there was a huge puddle of water and mud from someone’s shoes still there. It wasn’t from me. Anyway I literally spent 2 hours spraying the lining after I got home. I used 5 towels and they all came up dirty. Also, he mentioned some spray that would make it look glossy for a few days, then the same spray would last for only a few hours. What is it… a few days or a few hours? I think he just just saying whatever he wanted to get me out of the shop. It was closing time. He was just giving every excuse under the sun. I just wanted to know why it wasn’t clean, and could you fix it? Total douche for an owner. They even forgot to clean my visor mirrors.
I also should have known better when I came in to get a gift certificate and watched the owner roll his eyes blatantly because of being annoyed with a client on the phone while I was standing there. I mean come on! Who does that?! I’m a new client about to spend almost $ 300 and this is you showing your amazing customer service skills. Go. Someplace. Else. I honestly didn’t even want to waist any of my precious time writing this. I have way more important things to do. I’m doing this because the job and experience was so horrible. Keep searching people. This is not the place you want to take your car.

I went to Uptown last August but only recently registered for Unilocal,so consider this a ‘better late than never’ review! I took in a 7 year old Prius that had been used by a 20 year old for a year+ both as a car at college and, more importantly, as a delivery car in his full-​time job at Dominoes and Jimmy John’s for 9 months. Seriously full of crud, stains, spilled soda, etc. After just a few hours, Uptown brought the interior up to a level I honestly never thought possible. The car literally looked as good as I’d remembered it new. Now I’m getting ready to bring in my Highlander that spends too much time on dirt roads to stay anything near clean. I’m actually looking forward to it — and that should tell you something!

Great work these guys. I wanted full auto detailing for my Mercedes C 300 sports for making it like brand new. 4 years and my car never looked more good than this.

These guys kill it every time. I’ve brought 2 different cars to them in the past and they always end up coming back looking brand new.

We took in my Honda Civic that was in bad shape. The shop total us that they could make it look better but it was not going to be prefect for $ 200. We them to go ahead and call us if it was going to be more than $ 200 for the exterior detail. When we picked up the car was in better condition but really not worth the $ 200 (again my car was in pretty bad shape). I also took off a star because they charge me $ 220 when I asked to be called if it was going to be more than $ 200.
This is probably a good place for regular condition paint but if your car is in bad shape its not worth the $ 220. If your car is in that bad shape I would spend $ 200 on DIY materials.

Last week, I brought our Honda Fit to Uptown Auto Detail for a complete interior and exterior detailing prior to listing it for sale on Craigslist.
The car had been parked outside for 4+ years and had a considerable amount of grit and grime clinging the paint. The kind of dirt that previous hand car washes failed to remove. In under 7 hours, Uptown Auto Detail did an incredible job restoring the sheen — the car was absolutely sparkling in and out.
Over the years I’ve used a couple of other detailing shops around Portland before selling previous vehicles I’ve owned, and I was extremely disappointed with the poor workmanship and the pushy up-​selling tactics. In contrast, Uptown Auto Detail was easy to deal with, extremely thorough with their work, and truly delivered the «wow!» moment everyone hopes for after they have paid to have their car detailed. Everything looked great — the paint, the glass, the tires, the wheels and the entire interior.
After collecting the car from Uptown, I took a few photos and posted it for sale online — for a very optimistic price. I sold the car in one day, for asking price. I have no doubt that the excellent detail work by Uptown — leaving my car looking and smelling good-​as-​new — was what clinched the deal.

Based on the great reviews, when we bought our «new to us» car, we brought it in to be detailed at Uptown Auto Detail. We bought the car through a private party so it didn’t have that «dealer glow» that wows you when you’re on a lot. Well it does now! The entire process was super easy– just call, make an appointment, and drop it off. At the end of the day, expect to be wowed. You won’t be disappointed.

I never had my car detailed in 6 years. Dust, dirt and scuffs were everywhere. The worst was the dog hair embedded in the looped pile fabric in the back of my wagon. I had tried in vain to vacuum it out. Uptown Auto Detail far exceeded my expectations of what they were able to do. They painstakingly brushed the hair out — I’m sure it took hours. They didn’t make me feel like a scumbag for letting my car get to that point. And my car looks like new!

Once again, the guys made my car look new and clean as ever. You cannot go wrong here. FANTASTIC PLACE!

I took my husband’s BRZ in today. When he got home he exclaimed «She looks better than she did when I drove her off the lot!». She looks brand new inside and out. Rally blue has never been more electric. Thank you so much to the very talented Uptown Auto Detail team.

WOW! AMAZING! I am one happy customer, actually beyond happy! Had my 1 month old new car get some pretty bad sprinkler system, well water on it. It covered much of the front, roof, right side, the windows, and windshield. I tried to wash it myself and dried it immediately. But it was still bad.
Looked online and found the positive reviews for this place. Just picked up my car and it looks better than brand new! The windows look like they are all the way down, they are so clear. I will return in 6 – 7 months for maintenance, and repeat that for years to come. Best money I could have spent!

I’ve been here twice so far, and coming back for a third visit next week. I don’t live in the area, but if I did, I’d be a regular. My car has looked great each time, and the owner is a pleasure to work with.
Now if someone could please just fix the rain here in Portland that destroys the fabulous work Uptown has done on my car :)
