Came back over the weekend.
Same person working behind the counter, I think he is friendly but just not super approachable.

Seriously, the dark haired goateed man is rude and condescending. I just moved to Portland and have been amazed at how welcoming the overall population has been. Tonight, my partner and I went to Urban Flora seeking out some plants to spruce up our new place. Mr. Goatee ran us out pretty fast. I was admiring a hanging plant and happened to touch a leaf. He practically yelled at me not to touch the plant. Not only did he chastise me once but repeated himself 3 – 4 times after I clearly obeyed his wishes the first time. He then proceeded to rant about human body oils and their harm to plant life. I am sure there was some truth to his snide remarks but there was no need for his curt manner. He could have said nicely, «Hey please don’t touch the plants». Instead he delivered a loud and distasteful lecture that sent us running for the door. Clearly, I am not the only person to be put off by this guy. He needs to check himself and his attitude at the door. Sadly, I will never return to this establishment. Beware!

i got a really cool ball thing that had 2 carnivorous plants inside it and some moss. super cool looking. loads of moss plants which i haven’t seen in any other plant shop either! i got another moss thing inside a glass half ball thing that is really fun!
the person working there was really nice and let me put together a plant thing in the back of their shop after i bought all my stuff.
one star is missing bc i didn’t get adequate instructions on how to keep the cool plants alive! :(
