VC CrossFit

On a road trip thorough the Pacific Northwest, I stopped by to get a workout in on my short tour of Portland. Very friendly and encouraging staff! Had a phenomenal experience and got a new workout shirt out of it! Impressed by their group warm up and community feel. Enjoyed the torture!

I’ve been wanting to join a Crossfit gym for some time now! I’m so glad that I tried this Crossfit– especially being stuck at 24 hour fitness for the last year.. . I have a few years of experience with lifting, but there is still so much to learn, and I love improving as much as possible. The coaches are awesome and my techniques and form have progressed rapidly in the 4 short weeks that I’ve been here. Tom and Jason are great and are always providing tips for this Crossfit newbie! I feel like I can go far here– great environment with welcoming members.

Ok let’s see I am a fairly new crossfitter and new to portland. So finding a good gym was extremely important to me. I came from out of state and went to a pretty decent gym. When I moved to pdx I tried out few gyms and none really blew me away. Most of them were not ran well or the people wee too clicky and didn’t involve the new folks or other coaches didn’t really pump you up and correct your moves.
Until I walked in the doors of VC. Tom was extremely welcoming he makes you feel like one of regulars from day one. The staff is very knowledgeable and organized and they put on some excellent workouts
The place it self: they just relocated the new place. It is very nice and roomy with plenty of light and big doors and help ventilate. The equipment is very nice as well keep in mind 50 – 100 hands touch those every week. But never had an equipment problem there.
The folks: everyone is excessively nice, they are welcoming and very encouraging. One of the new changes to the workouts is that people who finish faster (ie the more seasoned, in shape) will not put their equipment away and sit and cheer the slowpokes (ie me). Which is extremely helpful and encouraging.
So do yourself and your body a favor and get with the program.

Informed instructors, dedicated membership, great space and a friendly footprint in a convenient location. The spirit that permeates this gym is nourishing and encouraging. This business is an asset to the neighborhood. It’s helped extract me from a workout rut of 15+ years. Thank you.

The coaches are amazing and always trying new stuff to keep it exciting. Whether you’re new to crossfit or a seasoned pro, the community is great.
I was a newbie so I was intimidated at first, but the atmosphere is energetic and supporting. Give it a try!

I attended the onramp programme this past weekend and loved every minute of it. It was hard, but in a good way :-) I was a total crossfit virgin with almost no knowledge of what it was and left the weekend both informed and excited to sign up.
I am pretty unfit but rather than feel intimidated by that, the team at VC left me feeling both supported and sufficiently skilled to up my game and push forward.

Definitely recommend VC for any and all first-​timers as well as seasoned athletes!
Just want to thank VC for such a great introductory experience to Crossfit! I have always been curious about it and wondered what all the hype was about and now I know. :) I’m completely hooked! I really appreciate everyone’s emphasis on proper form and alignment as well as offering modifications for all of the exercises. All of you provided an amazing, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that helped quell any of my first-​time fears. :)
Again, a BIG thanks to everyone for an instructive On-​Ramp, killer workouts and everything in between! You’re all AWESOME!

Best money ever spent. The gym is ran by professionals, half or more of the attendees are elite level athletes, and overall you get a real sweat-​drenched workout each time. On the other hand: since I am only starting out, I feel it’s a great place for beginners. The trainers adjust their routines for newbies like me all the time. The other gym attendees are very sweet, courteous, and encouraging. I already feel better and stronger after working out here just a few times, not to mention more comfortable in my own skin. I’d like to say I’m signed up for the long haul.

Been here almost 4 months and I love it! Awesome and knowledgeable staff, great space and brutal workouts. Felt super welcomed from the get go, couldn’t imagine a better gym.
