Great clinic, care about the animals and not the money! Makes it a lot easier to get the care your pets need if you’re in a pinch! I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!

I have been taking my cat Luna here since she was 6 weeks old, and they have been great. I was referred by a family member who has lived in the Beaverton area for years, and has been to several vet clinics/​hospitals around.
Sure, the outside is a little janky, and the parking can be difficult, but the people inside (and the price) make it worth it.
Although I have taken Luna here several times, one instance in particular stands out in my mind, prompting this review. I got her spayed here for very reasonably priced, however she is a very active little gal and as soon as she got home, she was running up and down the stairs like her insides hadn’t been torn out that day. About a week after her little surgery, I noticed a lump at the incision site. I looked online and saw that this is common, however day by day it grew and, well, it’s better to be safe than sorry. I called Vista on Monday morning asking them if they could just check her out and make sure there wasn’t something wrong. They got her in that day at noon! Which is great because this isn’t an emergency pet clinic. It took them a few minutes to look at her, and they reassured me that she was fine, it’s just because she was so active afterwards. They didn’t even charge me for this check up. After about a week the lump had completed dissipated.
All in all, I have had great experiences here, and will continue to take her and any of my future pets to Vista.

I love this place! It may be misleading from the outside, but the heart is on the inside. When I started going it was just Dr Davis. He was amazing and was always there to answer questions and with my first dog I had many. He eventually brought on Dr Cook whom I’ve seen a couple times too and liked. I’m sure Dr Marr is great, but I haven’t met her yet. I’ve brought multiple pets here for basic and more drastic care. They helped me and my now deceased fur-​baby get through a rough bought of cancer. I’ve had three dogs fixed here and no issues, two neuters and one spay (used the coupon for all three). In addition, they’ve been great for the most random things my dogs have needed help for: eye infections, sliced open feet, hot spots and more.
I also appreciate their pricing. I’ve heard a lot of friends paying a lot higher prices for simple things like vaccines and regular checkups. I’ve never felt that they are overcharging or in it for the money. I recommend Vista Pet Hospital to everyone who asks.

This place, while not flashy, is everything it needs to be. Doctors who care about your animal’s well-​being, not just making money.
Simply put our cat is a sh*t. He gets in to everything, is your typical curious cat and turns in to a possessed, little devil once he’s on the exam table. However, we do believe he’s the best cat ever (typical, right?).
Anyway, about a year ago he started to act really weird, he was super lethargic and getting sick all of the time. We made him an appointment which started our eight month journey to ultimately find out he swallowed a foreign object while we were on vacation and it was blocking his intestines. Throughout the eight months, Dr. Cook helped us every step of the way. While it may seem like a cut and dry case, it wasn’t. It was weird because his symptoms would seem to improve with medications or simple diet changes but ultimately he would regress back to being a sick little boy. It was the most emotionally tolling experience my boyfriend and I have ever been through. Even though our cat was a little devil during all exams (he usually ended up having to be sedated), Dr. Cook and the rest of the Vista staff were amazing! Dr. Cook talked us through various different treatments options, helping us weigh pros and cons, talked with specialists outside of Vista, allowed us to email her ANYTIME and always had a quick response, and, best of all was always up front and honest. She had our cat and our best interests (finances included) in mind the entire time.
Do not disregard this place because of appearances. Dr. Cook and the rest of the Vista staff are the best and our cat would not be alive today if it wasn’t for all of their efforts. On top of all that, the countless procedures, exams (sedation included) and medications did not break the bank and we were there at least 2 – 3 times a month during this process.
As long as we’re in the area, our animals will forever go to Vista Pet Hospital.

I made an appointment, got there on time. Asked if I could please use their restroom. They said their policy is no bathroom use… I said I am a customer. Didn’t matter… POLICY. I left. If a small service of use of a restroom isn’t in their vernacular, then they don’t need my business.

I rarely write reviews for a company, and I sure as heck don’t take the time to write positive reviews. But this place deserves it.
I have been to several other vet offices in my life. I frequently feel nickel-​and-​dimmed from them. Then there’s the sales pitches on optional services that leave you feeling like a terrible pet owner when you decline them.
Vista Pet Hospital gives me a sigh relief. I don’t even know where to start…
Before choosing Vista to take care of my new puppy, I called every vet office within a ~30 minute radius. I had two goals with these phone calls. First, I wanted to experience a glimpse of their customer service. Second, I wanted to compare costs. I asked each clinic ‘How much does a normal visit for puppy booster vaccines cost at your clinic?’. Vista blew this test out of the water.
Some highlights of my first two visits… Online scheduling is fantastic, and phone scheduling is equally convenient. You get convenient email reminders of your appointment, no junk mail. Upon my first glance of the building I thought «oh what a mistake». This place is clearly operating on a low budget. It is extremely small, the waiting room is the size of a large closet, I’ve only seen one exam room, and there’s only about 4 parking spots outside. But after my first two visits, none of that mattered. I get a sense of employees who genuinely love animals working here. The doctors themselves handle your pet throughout the visit and they incredibly patient and informative. The small waiting room is justified here because there’s almost never a wait time. The cost at Vista is consistently lower than all surrounding clinics and their bills are very clearly laid out showing where your money went. I believe vaccination appointments are FREE, all your paying for is the medication/​administration. I have never walked out of this place questioning whether or not I paid a fair price. And I have never walked out of this place feeling like I was talked into unnecessary services.
I feel TRUST with this clinic, which is huge for modern day businesses. I trust their recommendations and I trust that my pet’s well being is more important to them than my money.
This review was inspired after my most recent visit with Dr Cook.

I was referred by a friend after another vet wanted to charge me $ 800+ to pull a loose tooth. I took my dog here, but the tooth had already fallen out, so no need to pull it, but they quoted me like ¼ what the other vet wanted. I usually see Dr. Cook, but I got an appointment on short notice with Dr. Thorsan. They are both so kind and thorough, always listen carefully and make sure I’ve had all my concerns addressed. This place is the awesome and I can’t say enough good things about them.

I read some of the other reviews from people who had rescue dogs… and I can’t believe they were talking about the same vet that we have gone to for 7 years!
First of all, the staff is incredible… kind, compassionate and just plain nice. I think they reflect the personality of the Dr. that hires them. Dr. Davis is our favorite and those are the qualities that are Dr Davis, kind, compassionate, understanding and he loves animals, it is so obvious! When people say they don’t have time for an emergency… am wondering if the person is a pill and rude, just the way their reviews were written… This is not a typical reaction of the staff at Vista. We have had issues with our pets over the years, but they have been dealt with timely, and professionally, and we are as neurotic as other pet lovers, but we trust Vista Pet completely.

The 2 times I had an emergency Vista Pet never had time to see my dog. They referred me to another office which also never had time available.
The front desk staff is very friendly but the doctors are not. They would not spend more than 5 min talking to you or examining your dog. It felt like bureaucratic process.

Excellent care of our dogs over the years, always nice, even when my dog is freaking out because he doesn’t want to be there!

My cat is 11 years old and unfortunately brushing her teeth just wasn’t a priority of hers. (And she wonders why she still can’t find a cat-​panion.) At her recent wellness visit her veterinarian at VCA told her she had two bad teeth and quoted the extractions between $ 850-​$ 1000+! Yeah, even Callie’s little mouth dropped to the floor.
How can teeth extractions cost more for animals than humans? Impossible! I did some research, made a few calls, and Vista Pet Hospital won me over. The receptionist was very thorough in explaining the quote for just feline dental extractions, nothing else. You know what their quote was? $ 131-​$ 331. Uh, yeah, we’ll take the next available appointment, please. If I wanted to schedule a consult I could’ve but they said it wasn’t necessary and since we just consulted with VCA I opted to schedule the surgery only.
We dropped her off in the morning and picked her up before they closed at 5:30pm. She was very quiet until we got in the car. The over hour drive home was the least enjoyable thing about Vista Pet Hospital’s location otherwise I was very satisfied with everything else. I’m happy to report Callie is doing phenomenal 24 hours post-​op!
Feline dentistry. $ 146.
Pain Medication. $ 15.
Happy and better smelling breath cat. Priceless.

I took a rescue dog to Vista for a simple neuter surgery. Everything went smooth according to the vet who handled the surgery. When exiting my car in WA, my dog started bleeding profusely. We had to rush him to the nearest vet hospital where they said the stitches had come out and a blood vessel had been damaged during the neuter surgery. I called Vista to let them know what happened and they refused to let the other vet fix the problem and said they would only help if the dog was brought back to them. They REFUSE to pay the $ 80 vet bill that saved his life in WA and have been absolutely horrid to work with.
If a veterinary clinic cannot handle a simple neuter surgery and customer service, what can they be trusted with??!
I am without words… Most godawful experience I have ever encountered.

This is my go to clinic for my fur babies. My husband and I adore Dr. Davis. He truly cares for the animals he sees, and it’s obvious in the way he treats them. Vista is affordable, and while the outside isn’t anything fancy and the waiting room is small, the care is better than any other clinic I’ve been to, at a quartered of the price.

Wow! Can’t believe how awesome these guys were. Kitty teeth cleaning less than half the price of my other vet. I was honestly a little worried since the doctor didn’t even need to see my car before I brought him down but the staff was all great and kitty doing great! Thank you Dr. Marr and team!

Did not have a good experience at Vista.
I had just adopted a dog on 12/​22, and we needed to have him neutered ASAP.
I also let them know I had the neutering coupon from Humane Society (like Jen E.)
Called and made an appointment, told them he had been coughing, had a lot of anxiety, and just needed to be looked at in general in addition to the neutering.
When I got there, they just took him away. No examination with me and the doctor, no sit down to ask what was going on with him, nothing. It was like dropping my car off at the repair shop.
They called me during his surgery to tell me his back claws were coming off, so they suggested removing them. I had no idea what this meant, but they just told me it’d be best for him in the long run, so I agreed.
When I picked him up, they gave me a ton of information, but not much written detail for me to follow up with later. I had to keep calling to ask for clarification.
A few days later, I noticed one of his back paws was swollen up twice it’s size. They had wrapped the bandages on his back legs so tight that one paw wasn’t getting any circulation. I had to take it off, ice it on and off for about an hour, and it eventually went back to normal.
I went to a different vet, and they have heard similar reviews about Vista. I’m really disheartened by this, because there were so many good reviews about this place. Maybe this just happens when people use the neutering coupon?
At any rate, really bad experience, and we will be taking our pup elsewhere.

This is a great place to take your pets! It may not look like much, but the people that work here are great. You can tell they truly love animals and they just know their shit. I continue to be amazed at how inexpensive it is.
They honored an Oregon Spay & Neuter coupon that we printed off so it was only $ 168 for getting my dog spayed and a benign tumor the size of a large grape removed from her face. Even without the coupon, the spay part is only $ 145 plus an additional dollar per pound past 40 lbs. At other places we were being quoted 1k. They called us after to let us know how she was doing. It really felt like they cared.
I brought my kitty here when he got an abscess on his ear! They even offered us a discount for the antibiotics (not expensive) if we got him some updated shots! They were around $ 10 and $ 20 each.
I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to something dramatic happening to animals, but these people are GREAT at what they do. I’m sending them a Christmas card.
Bonus points for LOBBY CATS!

Awesome Clinic. My family has found Dr. Davis and his staff both compassionate and knowledgable when it comes to caring for our animals. Unlike many vets who recommend expensive medications (e.g. anti-​depressants and anti-​anxiety meds for pets, really?!!), Dr. Davis helps the owners to understand some of the underlying issues your pet might be experiencing and then goes on to problem solve with you.
When our black lab had surgery for severe ear issues, Dr. Davis discovered that he was both an excessive bleeder and had issues with coming out of anasthesia; to insure his recovery, Dr. Davis kept him at the clinic. Several years later, when we had to put him down (doggy dimentia, deaf and blind), Dr. Davis could not have been more considerate and understanding. They have been great for many years.

I had a coupon from Humane Society for neutering my dog. I took my other dog to a different vet but wanted something closer. I never saw a vet, a tech just took my dog from my arms to the back. The other office did a complete check up with me in the exam room.
I should be happy that my dog didnt die but I’ve been battling fleas since the neutering in August, I didn’t have fleas before and my boys haven’t been anywhere else with fleas. To top it off, the one I brought in for neutering is allergic to fleas and is now ½ bald.

Took my rescued dog Wookie in for neutering a couple of weeks ago and now he’s finally back to normal and healed!
Admittedly, the negative reviews put me off a little, but all went well! The desk workers were great, gave me detailed instructions and specifies a time that I could call to checkup and a time for pickup. Also allowed me extra pain meds for him when he was still in pain after a few days.
Only negative point was that he smelled bad after I picked him up when he had just been bathed that morning but this was probably due to other dog owners not washing their dogs.
Overall good experience!
