Wells Fargo Bank

The large sea of a neighborhood that is Hawthorne needs a good bank to help people shop around. Luckily, their Wells Fargo is up to the task since it provides the usual banking services. They have numerous machines and the branch has a modest size.
A few days ago, I needed to deposit money and it was fairly easy to access going from the Irvington neighborhood. The machine worked well and that is shamefully far from a unanimous trait for Wells Fargo machines.
Wells Fargo in Hawthorne is right on the money.

I received fantastic customer service the lead teller Marisa Mize, with a can do attitude I was able to set up my direct deposit and take care of re issuing a new Debit Card as I have no idea where I lost it haha.
Representatives like her are the reason why I continue to bank with WellsFargo.
Imelda Manalo helped with the new Debit Card and she took care of me in two minutes flat.

I went through Wells Fargo for my Refi on my home. They got me a lower interest rate and a lower monthly mortgage payment. The bankers are friendly and the bank is alway kept clean.

Used to be a very friendly branch. Now they have a horrible manager and new team. They are always trying to open a new account or sell you something so they get credit. Sorry but I won’t be coming back.

I’ve been a WF customer since the 60’s, both my parents worked there. A still do our major banking with WF. I’ve recently been doing some Trust and Estate work through WF, they’ve been very helpful. The staff at Hawthorne are quite friendly and knowledgable. I’m sorry that they have to work is such a dreary building (old First Interstate branch with massive plexiglas armor, due to the proximity of 39^th).

I currently don’t have a checking account, but because I’m on my mom’s savings account, I’m able to take my paycheck and two pieces of ID to cash my check. What makes this branch five stars is the fact they’re the first branch of any bank to not hassle me about setting up a checking and savings account. I appreciate that, because when you’re making as little income as I am, there’s really no need for that. I’m in and out of here in five minutes. Thanks to this WF branch for not giving me a hard time every other Friday!

Wells Fargo on Unilocal needs to be separated into Wells Fargo the bank, and Wells Fargo Credit Card services, as they are essentially two separate companies.
With Wells Fargo the bank, I’ve always experienced stellar customer service, and have had a generally 5 star experience with them.
It’s with their credit card services division I have an issue, and who this review covers.
You see, Wells Fargo credit card services deems it appropriate to arbitrarily change (decrease) credit limits without informing you. Something pops up on your credit report, and the bank acts instantly, and sends you a letter notifying you of the change *after* it takes place.
Is this in the small print? It sure is. Is it good customer service? I sure don’t think so.
As it turns out, the credit reporting bureaus aren’t infallible, and often make mistakes.
But the onus is now on me to correct discrepancies on my credit report before Wells will re-​adjust my credit limit? And not even a phone call or an email to alert me to the change in my finances?
Strikes one and two.
In talking with customer relations on the Credit Card services side, I mostly get «Well Sir, that’s just how it is».
Strike three. Adiós Wells Fargo.
Be aware, those of you who have credit cards or lines of credit with Wells Fargo.

This branch is the perfect example of how great going to the bank should be. Going to a bank is on my list of «Things to Put Off As Long As Possible» along with going to the DMV, going to the Post Office, and registering to vote. However, I went in to this particular branch of Wells Fargo just to deposit a small check, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service there. When you first walk in, you may find the size of the main room to be a bit intimidating. Once you talk to one of the tellers there, though, that vacuous space becomes filled with banking love! It was more like going out for ice cream with a friend than depositing a check. As someone who works in customer service, I can be really picky about how I’m treated when I’m on the other end. There’s always, of course, the danger of speaking with someone unpleasant when you go anywhere. On the other hand, one thing I hate is when someone overdoes the whole customer service thing and it’s more like being serviced by a fleshlight and less like actual, comfortable service. It’s always a pleasant surprise when someone talks to you not only like you’re a person, but like they genuinely WANT to help you. I walked out of that bank with a smile on my face and a few more bucks in my account.
