Unilocal is wrong they are open on Tuesday that was the old owners hours. Anyway now to get on with our review. It is a very cute place that serves really good food. The also have this thing called fry bread with fruit and cream cheese in it. Oh my gosh is it good. The service was good and the owners were amazing. I am taking my in laws there the next time we are in the area!

Just visiting town and stopped here because it was the first place we came to. Descent place, clean with good menu selection. I ordered the taco salad. Seemed a little on the small side at first but I was full when we left. Lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the beef was seasoned well. I’d probably order the same thing if we came here again. The other person in my party had a BLTA. He said it was good but he wasn’t a fan of the potato salad that he chose as his side. Service overall was good and the beer was cold!

If I could give this place no stars I would. It was great until the new owners took over.
Yesterday morning my wife and I came in for breakfast. She ordered sausage and over easy eggs. I ordered bacon and eggs over medium. Not a difficult order I think.
Her eggs came way under cooked with watery whites. Mine came so over cooked the yokes were solid. We sent them back.
The new eggs were under cooked too. Now we both now had a second order of undercooked eggs and tried to send them back. The young waitress rolled her eyes and told us the cook was yelling at her and we were wrong and picky. We told her we were not paying the bill and would not be back. We left in disgust.
So disappointed. Going to eat elsewhere.

We happen to stop in for a lunch on a Monday. We were greeted warmly by the owner who had just purchased the establishment two weeks prior. Give me a break who makes fresh roasted turkey sandwiches. All-​around a wonderful experience. Fabulous!

We stopped in for breakfast and were very pleased with the entire experience. The food and service were both great. The menu had plenty of selections. We’ll definitely be back for lunch and dinner.

Can’t say we stuck around to eat. Zero service, so we (party of 2) sat ourselves. Couldn’t place our order, they didn’t want our business, because they were «waiting» for a party of 20 to show up. So we were told it would be a long wait. We had a bad vibe from the beginning so we just walked out. (And a local told us they use the same grease for different foods and I was not about to eat fishy French fries!) So… We found ourselves at a way better restaurant, The Coyote Grill, 10 minutes away in Graeagle. Waiting for our din-​din now, but right off the bat we are enjoying a delish side salad full of great veggies! I’ll be reviewing The Coyote right after we get our grub on.

First time eating here, ordered carry out. Got some really bad fries:(they were undercooked.
This restaurant is permanently closed. The restaurant is known as both the canyon club and alpine grill. I just want to inform people so they can make an easier dining choice. Options in Portola include: Subway, Pizza factory, Nicole’s, lena’s cantina, Rico’s Mexican Food, Sharon’s café and The Family Corner.

First time dining here, prior to a Sunday round of golf. Terrific find for breakfast. Portions are hearty and very tasty with some good local twists on old favorites. I selected (and highly recommend) the Beckwourth omelette. Service is as prompt and friendly as you could want, and prices are very reasonable. I’ll be back!

What a great stop on our family road trip. The food quality was excellent and the service was great. The chicken fingers and frys were fresh and homemade. The staff brought out games for our kids and put caps on thier glasses without asking clearly they k of how to accommodate little ones. If you are Portola you will not be disappointed with this fine establishment.

We had a hamburger and a pulled pork sandwich both were excellent. The pulled pork is really good. We heard that breakfast was really good too. We also had some Long Island iced teas which were pretty good. We have our hundred plus pound dog with us and there is outdoor seats. We were able to get some water for dogs and even some pulled pork without the sauce or the dog. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Came for breakfast. Best eggs Benedict I have ever had. Delicious bananas foster, breakfast burritos etc.
