I was told I had no money from sales from the manager but the next day when I called about something else, the girl working that day(she said the manager was off) said I had a lot of $$$.I went in and got my check and saw that the money was not from recent sales but from several months prior. All of which I had been told many times that I had no money or a small amount. The dates of the sales listed on the paperwork caused me distress since it looked like the manager was withholding money. I finally quit taking clothes there when I saw se didn’t follow policy on mark downs and often marked down before the markdown date and it seemed sort of vindictive.

All in all I wasn’t «wowed» by this place. It was big, but I didn’t see much by way of fancy dresses/gowns which is what I was looking for. The prices were very reasonable, even cheap if you go into the clearance section in the other room. I would say that if you live in the area, it’s worth checking out, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to get to it.

Love Lilly? Praise Polo? Jump for joy at J. Crew? Do you keep The Preppy Handbook on your bedside table and consult it regularly as a style guide? If you answered«yes» to one or more of these questions, then this is the consignment store of your dreams. Corner Consignment captures the prep ethos perfectly. This cute little store just outside of Newport is jam packed with pretty clothing, shoes and accessories, along with the occasional fun find for the home. I have been both a consignor and a customer at CC for about ten years. The owner and her staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are kept accessible to all, making it a terrific spot to score an expensive look without spending an arm and a leg. Many of the pieces for sale here are as good as new: lightly worn, much loved, and high quality. I’ve scored many treasures here over the years! These include a pair of like-new, candy apple red patent leather Stuart Weitzman heels(still in the box!).
Whether you want to look sharp as a tack at work, or cocktail party-ready for a summer night soirée, this store is a must for any frugal + preppy fashionista.

The clothes were pretty good but I had a field day with the accessories! Great space, lots of cushy chairs. I took my time trying on hats, scarves and jewelry. I’m a city girl so a lot of the clothes were a little too suburban for me but found a racy dress and some flattering slacks at fair prices.
