Trader Joe’s

I love trader Joes! We had one In Cambridge we went too. This one is becoming one of my favs. Great store. The employees are who make this store awesome! Kudos to them they are friendly and smile all time! I really love the meat choices here as well as the organic fruits! We shop here all the time and will continue!

Really good stuff. Being a transplant from California, it’s hard to find healthy and fresh groceries at good prices out here in rural New England. Glad to find that a west coast staple has made it to New Hampshire.

Love Trader Joe’s! They have great products at a reasonable price. Healthy alternatives, sushi, sandwich bar, great wines, snacks, coffee and produce. They put out a nice newsletter and every week they draw 3 names to receive a 15.00 coupon if you bring your own bag or recycle theirs. Fun store. Great customer service.

Typically, if you’ve been in one Trader Joe’s you’ve been in all of them. This store is not an exception to that. This one however, is getting 4 stars because the crew member was very helpful. She went out of her way to get me what I wanted. They don’t get 5 stars because like a lot of their other stores they’re often out of what you want and need. This doesn’t bode well with me considering it’s so far away. One thing she told me that was very helpful was to call ahead on the day of your visit to see if they have what you want. If they do they will hold it for you on that day. They are really scoring major points here but they are just not worthy of 5 stars.
Lots of organics at this store. I don’t know if it’s any different than most but it seemed to be. I think the store is bigger than most of the TJ’s I’ve been in.
They have wine and that is a huge bonus. It’s strange though. The liquor police have a strangle hold on establishments like this and determine when and how much wine is released to a store. It’s bizarre really. Being from the West Coast such tight liquor control is foreign to me. As a result, they are sometimes out of favorites. The person at the store in full Halloween costume was very helpful and helped me decide on a moderately priced Pinot Grigio that she said is very good.
It’s often hit or miss at Trader Joe’s and this store is no exception. I think it’s a problem with suppliers, or so they say, but sometimes I wonder how much of it is the person placing the orders. They were out of one of my staples. The organic salted crunchy peanut butter. I usually stock up on this stuff but today they had 1 jar left. I supplemented with the creamy variety which I am not happy about. Alas.
If TJ’s ever designates stores as flagship, this should be one of them. Recommended.

Wish there was a Trader Joe’s closer to us. Choices are either this Newington store, or Nashua, so we usually make a stop when we are in those locations for other errands. Even though the store is a small footprint, having the aisles on an angle and shelves not super high, makes it feel more open. Even when really busy, it doesn’t feel too crowded and the checkout lines go fairly quickly. Staff are always cheerful and helpful. Prices are reasonable and good product range, including a large selection of beers (can mix and match) and wines. Sometimes fresh foods are short dates, e.g. the sushi was expiring the day we visited (one package had already gone past date). But organic chickens for $ 2.69/lb were a great buy! We scored five boxes of pumpkin dog treats. They might not be there next week being a popular seasonal item. Learned that lesson last year much to the dog’s dismay. People were selling them on eBay for more than 5x the price!

Love this store… it is huge and they sell beer and wine!!! Staff is very friendly. Wish we lived closer. By the way, the Trader Joe’s Coastal wines are awesome!

We love trader joes in ca! So of course my daughter wanted to go to the trader joes in NH to get snacks for her upcoming freshman adventure at UNH. Suzanne made us feel so welcome! She treated us like family. I feel good knowing my daughter has a great place to go to get her healthy snacks and feel like she’s at home even 3000 miles away!

I had no idea until recently that Trader Joes is actually owned by one of the brothers who own Aldi (the other one has the rights to the Aldi name in North America).
In size, it’s somewhere between an Aldi in Britain and a main supermarket here. I liked the display ethos with the hand-​lettered signage, which gives it a slightly old-​school friendly appearance.
There’s a good selection of food stuff and the prices seem reasonable, but I’m not well-​acquainted enough with the US shopping scene to give a decent comparison with other places.

I love Trader Joes. It’s my go-​to for all my favorites that I can’t get anywhere else (pomegranate seeds already seeded, guiltless guacamole, balsamic grilled chicken, and so on). It may not be a one-​stop shop for some, but I can generally find everything I need to inspire creative snacking and cuisine and the food is quality and low cost. And for grocery shopping which generally falls in the ‘chore’ category — it’s actually a pleasure to be around staff who is happy to help, cheerful, and just seem like genuinely nice people. A+ TJs!

For what it is, a reasonably priced specialty foods store, 5 stars.

This is a nice Trader Joes, it looks newer and after reading reviews it is about a year and half old.
All the employees here are super nice and suggestive sell when seeing one pick an item off the shelf.
Prices are very reasonable here.
It seems whenever I am here, it is really busy.

Really like it in here. The minute you walk in, the place just feels and smells…
clean, natural. They have a wide variety of natural foods, some of which (like the dried Kale) are for the more brave-​hearted.
Just an overall fun store to get good, quality groceries.
Some things are a bit pricey.

I love this Trader Joe’s. Every time I’ve come here, it’s been easy-​breezy, with wide aisles and short check-​out lines. Every month, I make the trek from Hanover to a Trader Joe’s to stock up and I’ve started coming to the Portsmouth location over the Boston area ones because 1) way less crowded; 2) plentiful parking, even though I don’t really believe in free parking; 3) Portsmouth has is charm too.
Also, I never forget that it’s on (Ryan) Gosling Road. Hah.

What they offer is usually decent quality at a fair price.

Pandemonium. I waited a few months because I wanted them to have it together before I got there, but I need to wait a few more months. Some of the staff are good and some aren’t, but it’s the customers that need the most help. I don’t think any of them had ever been in a TJ’s before. There was a crowd staring at the cheese and another group was staring at the chocolate but no one was there to help them. Really, the crowds were several people deep and it was hard to get near anything. After the confused zombies finished shopping, they headed for the cash registers. The checkout lines were about 20 minutes long, due to customers that always seemed to be in the wrong place and cashiers that always needed something from the guy who showed up when they rang their bell. I like TJ’s a lot but this store isn’t running smoothly at all and I’m going to give them a bit longer. I’m hoping it will be better in the Spring.
Four stars for the variety and quality of food and two stars for management’s ability to run a store average out to three stars.

Food you can’t find at other places, great prices on beer and wine, weird stuff you are afraid to try, how can you beat it?

I love this chain, so I was glad to see that Trader Joes has made its way over to NH. The store was clean and friendly with easy to navigate wide aisles and a large selection of goods.

Lines moved fast the times I visited, and stockists seemed happy to help customers find what they wanted. The prices are fair and the store is fun to shop in. Avoid on weekends if possible. Try the ready made sushi. I’m probably going to buy some of those beautiful, inexpensive orchids next time.

I am among those who greatly anticipated the new store. Unfortunately, the general manager both has staffed the store almost entirely with rookies and seems determined to let the learning curve run its course without any help or consideration for customers who suffer through it.
The store was laid out like any other TJs but the checkout lines were both long and chaotic. Most registers had TJ rookie customers lining up in front of the counter and us veterans lining up behind it. NO ONE from the store was doing ANYTHING to alleviate this.
One employee admitted that the problem of having rookie cashiers was compounded by TJs registers being configured differently than most other store’s setups.
The store manager was largely apathetic regarding the whole matter when I discussed the matter the next day. He just said that nothing is going to change and that the higher ups defer to him.
As an aside, I discovered that TJs has discontinued yet another favorite item; this time it is the family-​sized frozen cheese enchiladas.
Nothing at TJs warrants thus aggravation or contributing to the bank account of its 1940s era German army owner.
