Royal Valet

I’ve visited Royal Valet several times it’s just around the corner from Harris Teeter
@Park Potomac. Most recent visit (2÷12÷16) had shirts washed/​pressed w/​starch, cashmere scarves, wool pants dry cleaned. All looked great. I’ve also had a wool sweater cleaned & small hold mended.

Dry Cleaning items. I’ve received discount on sweater & scarves. Good deal in Potomac.

Horrible place. A family member volunteered to drop off my dry cleaning for me and picked this place. I was shocked when he came back with the receipt – for $ 97 dollars! I usually get these garments dry-​cleaned for around 40. I look at the exorbitant prices charged (double what is charged at other places in Potomac and DC) and immediately returned to to the store to get the clothes back and take them somewhere else. I was told that I could not pick up them up and they had suddenly «already left» to be cleaned and I would have to pay the $ 97 dollars to get them back. Further, they had convinced my family member that my clothes (virtually new and in great condition) needed «repairs» and charged $ 10 per «repair» which I then had to pay for to get my clothes back. Will never go back again. A huge headache and a huge waste of money.

Great pressing as well as spot removal. The owner is always extremely friendly, not to mention they always have my clothes ready on time.

The last two visits have been unbearable. Clothes are cleaned and pressed but dealing with the people gave me a headache both times. There is a significant language barrier which makes communication a disaster. They keep calling my home and cell phone and when i return the call they deny calling. Close this place down.

was a satisfied customer for years until my latest encounter, when they handed me my Burberry dress shirt and showed me a 3″ tear at the back of the sleeve near the elbow. They explained that the fabric is worn in that area and they blamed me for causing the tear! I was like, hey, I am not asking you to pay for my shirt but accept some responsibility and admit that you tore it… I mean, I would have known if my shirt had a big tear in it and I certainly would not have brought it in for cleaning. The good news is that they did not charge me for it ;-) I will not go back there again.

Good prices and very high quality pressing. Also they did a fantastic job on a few pant alterations!
