I asked my doctor to call in a couple of prescriptions at the Walgreens in Potomac, and later spent 25 minutes on the phone trying to find out whether they had received them. I never did get through and ended up having to go there in person to check, only to find that there were no prescriptions. If my doctor had the same problem getting through that I did, it’s no wonder. I was going to switch my prescriptions from the Potomac Giant to Walgreens because of the longer hours, but not any more. Longer hours don’t do anything for me if I am going to have to spend extra hours just to get a living person on the telephone.

Any pharmacy store is a rip off. I’m waiting for my insurance to send me another card, and I typically buy my prescriptions at Walmart(for 4 $ without insurance). Here they wanted to charge me 52 $, then after asking if there were any discounts I grudgingly paid 20 $ to lower the cost of the prescription to $ 5. 25 $ to get a 4 $ prescription is not a deal Walgreen’s! Hoping my insurance will pay me back…

This Walgreens is located in the Potomac Village with ample parking in front and back. The cashiers are very friendly and they have a large selection of beauty supplies, meds, beach needs and a dry goods grocery area. I have good luck with prescriptions here because they will call to notify you when one is ready or fill it quickly on the spot. As a migraine sufferer who’s insurance only alots a script for 4 migraine pills at a time, the fact that they call when ready or fill quickly while you wait is very nice. I would give 5 stars if the pharmacist would actually show you where a product is on the shelf rather than just say, oh, aloe is in aisle one. If I had seen it in aisle one the 10 minutes I was looking for it I would not have asked you where it was. All in all a very nice Walgreens with two floors.

If you’re coming here for prescriptions, you are in luck. The pharmacy is very good overall, just lacking in efficiency sometimes. I have seen employees just hanging out and chit-chatting when I’ve mentioned I’m in a rush to pick up a prescription, and I feel like I have had to wait a little longer than usual for them to process it. The staff overall is helpful, but sometimes, even they don’t realize their mistakes(cashier entered 47 cents tonight instead of the $ 47.00 I handed her) and it took her 10 minutes and lots of explaining by me for her to figure out. Ugh. Better than other options in the village though. Except that they close at 9.

I didn’t even know there were any Walgreen’s in Montgomery County. I needed some pictures developed from my Snapfish account and I needed them quicker than they could be delivered. Walgreen’s is one of their providers. A quick search led me to this location. Located in the heart of Potomac Village, this Walgreen’s is quite compact with narrow aisles, but with two levels of shopping. The photo center is in the back of the store. The pharmacy is upstairs. Prices are good, especially their sales. No special savings card needed here! I’d shop here often if I didn’t live so far away.

I drove here once… whenever i go where my company takes me… so i figure why not. It’s located on river rd on your passanger side when driving from 495 North Tysons. This store is small to what normal walgreens size should be but other hand its the same. cashier though is like cvs unlike two cashier line facing beside to each other. a bit small size to what i normally go to but its a decent store. isles are somewhat cramped. café w is on the upperside and pharmacy is at the end of upper level. wow and they have two exits one for pharmacy and one for front store entrance. oh the bank took the drive thru keke. otherwise good location on busy river road. oh and parking is on the back where the bank is.
