Salon Twenty Two and Spa

I visited Salon Twenty-​two as I was looking for a new salon and spa close to home. With the added benefit of a Groupon, I stopped in to see Dani for a shampoo and cut. And damn, did she knock it out of the park.
My long, thick, wavy hair combined with my fear of hair scissors doesn’t make me an easy client. But Dani made me feel comfortable, was clearly knowledgeable, and really took her time to get me a great cut.
I legitimately cannot wait to go back. Everyone was friendly, the location is great, and the service cannot be beat. Definitely stop by.

Go see Dani, she is amazing. Seriously. I purchased a Groupon for a haircut, conditioning treatment, and full highlights with a slightly vague notion of what I wanted done — very subtle color with a cut that complemented my current shape. Dani executed this PERFECTLY. She did partial balayage even though my Groupon was only for full highlights and my hair turned out exactly how I wanted with natural, sunkissed highlights throughout. She took her time explaining everything she was doing and how it would benefit my hair texture and color. The salon itself is warm and welcoming and the rest of the staff was lovely. I can’t stop looking at my hair because it is so pretty and exactly what I wanted! Can’t wait to go back!

My bridesmaids and I got my hair done here for my wedding (6 girls all together). I was here for a hair trial, hair trial did not go well. The makeup that was used gave me a rash, granted, I have very sensitive skin so it’s probably me. I was told that prior to the wedding, my stylist (Carrie?) would do the hair on a mannequin and send me a picture. That did not happen. I was told that I’d get another stylist if I didn’t like the picture. Since picture didn’t happen, I didn’t get a new stylist. While I did get the makeup done with my own makeup, I ended up redoing it when I got home when my mom’s comment was that I should redo my makeup. It was exactly what I needed on my wedding day, ½ an hr before the groom’s party came. Lucky for this place, I had already mentally prepared myself for things to go wrong. My hair looked bad, it didn’t hold for the whole day etc. Maybe a regular cut would have been a better experience. By the way, they make you pay 50% deposit via a gift card when you book the place. I live very far away and was only back in PA one time before the wedding so I just thought, what’s the worst that could happen.

I went here for a hair cut and was so impressed!!! Carrie indulged my Pinterest haircut and color fantasies and asked me so many questions to ensure I got what I wanted. I also heard the other stylists taking the same kind of time and care with their clients. The color she did is PERFECTION! Guys this place is amazing-​and they are a spa too! Super highly recommend

Tracy has been my stylist since 1997. She listens to me when I tell her my concerns and when I ask for suggestions. She takes into consideration my hair texture, lifestyle, etc. I never feel pressured into trying a new product. The salon carries a large inventory of products and offers many choices. Chris has been cutting my young daughter’s hair for a few years, and she is very good with her. I recommend Salon Twenty-​two for men and women of all ages! There’s always something new at the salon such as special offers or new products!

I am a former long term client of a stylist that now works at this salon. Her name is Danielle, and she is an amazingly talented stylist. She does an extraordinary job on all her clients. Her knowledge and passion for what she does shows in the work she does. She does a good job of discussing what ones vision is and what she can do.

Wonderful experience! From the moment I walked into Salon Twenty Two I was treated like a queen! That is exactly what we want out of a hair salon, right ladies? The staff was very friendly and the salon itself is a beautiful space. I did not have to wait for my stylist and she was one of the best hair stylists I have ever gone to. She was so thorough and asked lots of questions about how I like my hair, how I wear my hair normally, what length I am comfortable with and if I was satisfied after she was done. I was my hair looks amazing, I agree with a previous post that if you want a good hair style then go to Ashley. She is the best. I have tried lots of salons in the area and I will be returning to Salon Twenty Two for sure. They also offer everything in one place waxing, massage, facials, nails, makeup, spray tanning, hair, treatments. I am thrilled that I can go to one place for everything from now on! I would recommend this salon to anyone in or out of the area who wants a real hair stylist not just a haircut.

I would give a 1.5 if I could. The décor was nice, the staff was friendly, and my color was ok. Don’t get there early if you have the first appointment of the day. I had an appointment at noon and got there at 11:45, the door was locked and there were employees there that had keys, but not security code. Not sure what the deal was with but not a huge deal to me. I had a groupon for full highlights, cut, and style. The cut and style were really disappointing, probably the worst I’ve ever had. I have fine, limp hair that is pretty long. I usually get layers and blonde highlights done twice a year. After washing my hair, she asked how much of the length I wanted to take off, I said «Take off how much is necessary, but I want to keep it somewhat long.» She did a trim cut and then grabbed for the blowdryer. I was somewhat surprised and said I was thinking about doing bangs and having layers. She cut some terrible bangs and then proceeded to blow dry my trimmed hair. No layers were cut into my hair. She didnt even use any products in my hair. I have NEVER in my 20+ years of getting haircuts ever had a stylist do my hair without putting mousse in it. She didn’t even round brush while blowdrying it, she used a dinky little vented paddle brush, so I had flat to my head non layered hair with weird blunt cut bangs. Even I know to cut my bangs vertically so they look more «natural». The color again was fine, but honestly any beauty school student could do my highlights (going from dark blonde to light blonde, I tell them it takes 15 minutes to process, it’s super easy). Really disappointing, I don’t know if it was because of the groupon that I got sub par service, but it was a Supercuts or Walmart child special cut. I actually called a former hairstylist to see if she can fit me in for a «emergency» cut.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The salon itself is super cool, modern, and everyone is super friendly and professional. I’ve been going to Ashley Bristo for 3 years and she never disappoints. If you need a haircut from a true stylist, see Ashley Bristo. I trust her so much that I usually just sit down and tell her to do whatever she wants with my hair (and that couldn’t be LESS like me!). I have never, not once, been less than ecstatic about my cut. Can’t rave about her or Salon Twenty Two more!!!

I have been trusting Tracy (owner and stylist) at Salon Twenty Two with my hair for over ten years. I followed her from another large salon in Royersford.
Tracy and her team have created a fun and professional environment at Salon Twenty Two. Everyone who works there has personality and vision! The girls are always learning new things and excited to whip up some amazing new style for you when you are in a hair slump.
Salon Twenty Two is truly a one stop shop: hair cuts, color, make-​up application, skin services, waxing, nail services, and massages. I drive all the way from Conshohocken to Pottstown because I love it so much.

UPDATE: Salon Twenty Two now has a spa! It’s so nice — the rooms are very tastefully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. I enjoyed a really great BioElements facial with Samantha that completely calmed me after a stressful day.
The new location is very cozy and inviting. I love even more than her last location on Moser Road — and the parking lot is bigger too!

My new favorite joint to get my do done up proper. Noticed my gorgeous flowing locks were getting a little long and I needed to get something done about it. Usually, I hit a place by work. But today, I worked out of the home. So, I needed a place closer. Fortunately, being the social butterfly that I am, a friend told me to check this place out. It’s only about 10 min. down the road and they were able to accommodate me on short notice.
Now you have to realize something. I’m a bit fussy with who I let touch my head (either one… you guys are so dirty.) so I don’t do change well. My usual joint offers me a beer upon arrival and treats me like a king while I’m getting my cut on. Guess what. They do the same here. After I declined the offer for a tasty beverage (which is rare if you know me) it was off to get my hair all washed up and clean. Next I was whisked off to the stylist chair where I got clippers on the sides, scissors on the top and a little texturing shears to complete the package. The stylist (Chris, highly recommended if you go) also trimmed up the unibrow for me which I’ve never had done (or offered for that matter). Another rinse, a quick style, and my sexy self was on my way.
And, get this, WAAAY cheaper than what I am accustomed too. So, I got the exact same cut and style with exceptional service all for an incredibly reasonable price. Definitely getting my trims done here from now on.
If you need a new do or are just looking for a new stylist way out here in the burbs, I would highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!
