We own an older home and I am somewhat of a «do-​it-​myselfer’ so I seem to be at Davies several times a month. I agree with the first reviewers’ comments. This store is very well stocked, the staff will help you find the item and they are creative and know how to solve common problems. Surprise, they are priced competitively to the big box stores BUT you do not have to chase down help if you need it. And you will. The contractors, the pros know where to find what they are looking for but good luck if you are an occasional customer as I am. They are great but have short Saturday hours and closed on Sunday.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Old fashion hardware store. Went there a few years ago to purchase a surface pump (my basement was flooded) because I couldn’t find one at Home Depot or Lowes. To my surprise, the price was comparable to the big box stores and the quality/​brand was better. Been a fan of Davies since.
