I love this bar and honestly am here for dinner most nights of the week. However, I am writing this out of frustration… Among the many things they do right, there are great nights each week such as trivia night. I unfortunately never remember which day of the week it falls on(Tuesday or Thursday maybe?). I would love to just call and ask, but THEYDON’T HAVE A PHONE! Please get a phone! Then I will love you again. Update: They now have a phone! So all good.

Service was TERRIBLE! I dined here on a recent Friday evening in a party of 8. Our server, «J»(don’t want to mention her full name for fear of embarrassing her, though maybe it would help her improve her skills), served us our drinks. I was the last to order my drink. I asked her to run down the long list of draught beer. She offered to let me sample one of the brews I was interested in. She then dropped off the tiny sample and never returned to our table again for a good 12 – 15 minutes! When she finally did come back, she realized that she had left me hanging and apologized. I ended up ordering the Chimay on tap and almost fell over when I got the bill– $ 12.00 each for a 10 – 12 oz. pour– WOW! Sticker shock! Overall, J was simply super neglectful of our entire table. After the plates were served, she never came back to check on us right away, and we were all left for wanting this or that, but J was no where to be found. Too busy socializing from what I could see. In the two hours that we were there, she came by only once after we were served our dinners to see how things were. What really put the icing on the cake so to speak, and caused me to leave this less than favorable review was what happened when she was clearing our plates from the table. I had only eaten ½ of my dish and was going to ask J to pack up the rest for me to go. However, I was chatting with my friend when J came around and before I could stop her, she put the stack of dirty plates right on top of my unfinished food. I caught her when it was too late, and told her«Oh! I wanted that food wrapped to go!» J then apologized and said she would«…get me a whole new serving of food to go.» Had she bothered to ASK me if I was done, that never would have happened. Later on, she did bring me out my «doggy bag» all wrapped up so that I could not see the contents. When I got home, I placed it in the ‘fridge. The next day, I opened it up to eat my leftovers. Lo and behold, J did NOT get me a whole new dish– she bagged my original leftovers– the ones that she had placed the stack of dirty dishes on top of! Unbelievable What a terrible waitress she was and what a waste of my money. The Dubliner was a big disappointment– for all of us. We all agreed we will not be spending our money there again.
