WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER!!! I have been shopping here for years when I lived in the area, but recently I bought a beautiful storage bench but couldn’t fit it in my car at the time.(I was in the middle of moving and had tons of furniture/things in my car). So I asked if they could hold it for me. They said it was fine for 1 week. I live in the city, this store I about 2 hrs from me driving, So for the next 2 weeks I was in constant contact with the store manager. I couldn’t make it to pick it up within the week due to work etc. and he said it was fine and that they were saving it for me. My new apt was a mess at the time so I was grateful for the extra time I had to make room for the piece. When I finally went to pick up the bench(about 2 weeks over due, I had called every week to let them know I was still coming) the manager on duty told me it was sold! WHAT?! I paid full price for this item in cash! I had driven 2+ hrs to pick up this thing, why wouldn’t you at least give me a courtesy call to let me know instead of wasting my time? The worst part is the nice manager who held it for me had went on vacation and the manager on duty(who I’m sure saw the piece on hold and overdue and took the decision to it it back on the floor not knowing the I had spoken to the GM) was a complete prick! He never apologized and kept insisting I look at the papers that said the item was on hold for too long. I told him I called every week and he said, «I know I remember speaking to you.» I said, «yeah and I told you I was coming to get it.» He said, «I don’t remember you saying that, I just remember you telling me you were in the city.» WHAT?! No apology. No offer for another piece in stock. Nothing. When I asked if he even gave a f#*k about his customers he said, «we care a lot about our customers.» I asked, «how is that in any way reflected in this particular situation?» He continueddddd to insist I look at the papers that stated is item was on hold for too long. «I don’t know what deal you had with the other manager.» WHEREISTHECOMMUNICATIONHERE?! Worst people ever, complete idiots. I recommend going anywhere else, even Walmart! At least they would replace your item. HOMEGOODSDOESNOTCAREABOUTYOU!

In order to get great deals make sure you visit often. They are beginning to carry higher end designers such as Kate Spade, Vineyard Vines and Taylorbird.

This is a large, well-stocked and well-organized TJ Maxx, with an equally large Home Goods section in the back. If you’re searching for women’s shoes here, you practically need a roadmap to navigate through the shelves. I don’t come here looking for specific items. When I come here I want to be surprised by neat discoveries, particularly in the back. I’ve been impressed by their kitchen supplies, rugs, furniture and unique lamps. Some of their kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom supplies rival Bed, Batn & Beyond down the street, and I bet they’re still competitive without the 20% off coupons BB&B always have. If you’re looking for unique pieces of furniture or specialty items, it’s worth checking often because their inventory of these things changes frequently. The one department here where I have not had good luck is men’s clothing. What limited selection they do have is not really what I would consider«brand names for less.» If you’re looking for men’s clothes, I think you’d have much better luck going across the street to the Marshall’s in the Poughkeepsie Plaza Mall.

Maxx Goodness. I used to dread shopping at this place, but have really learned to enjoy it. Especially when we make it a game, the object, find the weirdest item in the store, TXT it to your friends with the challenge to top it! Good prices and super clearance on nice branded clothing and some specialty items like ski/snowboard wear. I picked up a great snowboard helmet last season at this store. I am a sucker for the«gifts guys will like» section that includes combination items like an Air Compressor/iPhone Speaker/Laptop Chilling Pad Pocket Knife with Carabiner Clip of course. This location is a combo TJ Maxx/Homegoods with a nice housewares section including food items, some furniture, area rugs, even clothes for your pets! I am not the most observant person in a store, but I can report this place also has luggage, shoes only for the ladies, and a jewelry counter. By the way, if you don’t find what you are looking for here go across the street to the other TJX Business in town, Marshalls.
