Tony’s Pizza Pit

Have tried many different pizza places in the area. This has always been my favorite place to get chicken, bacon, ranch on a square pizza. Very yummy.

Got delivery. .came quickly but sandwich was missing cheese which according to the menu was supposed to come on it. .both grilled and breaded chicken were super dry but smothered in mayo. And the worst part was the expired 2 liter diet Pepsi for $ 3.25. Makes me wonder what else is expired in their kitchen. Oh well!

This is the worst pizza ever. I found it tasteless, cardboardy, and at $ 2.75 for a tiny slice, grossly overpriced. Too bad the Vassar kids have immature taste buds. This place could not survive near a real pizzeria in NY. Even Caesars Caesars is fine dining in comparison to the Pit.

started out ok. but really. burnt garlic bread, and there is no way on Earth you can tell me the person that did that one didn’t know. smelled burnt. looks quite black. one would really think youd care about your customers. clearly you do not.

Best NY style pizza in town. Mr hey make amazing specialty pizzas as well. The bacon chicken ranch awesome even the chicken Marsala pizza great. You can never go wrong with a plain cheese pie. It’s been there for over 30 years so they must be doing something right

Pizza is good. but don’t ask for a total if you order deliver. The girl on the phone called me a pain in the ass because I wanted a total. Need less to say I can celled the order

Tony’s Pizza Pit has some of the best pizza in the Hudson Valley. I have been here on multiple occasions and I have enjoyed myself every time. They chicken-​bacon-​ranch slice is awesome, along with all of the other specialty specialty slices they offer. The place is spotless, and it has a great New York style pizzeria feel to it. I will definitely continue to patronize this pizzeria.

I’m not too sure what all the negativity about this place is, but over the years I have been a frequent customer of Tony’s and I absolutely love it. The pizza is authentic New York style which is like finding a diamond in the rough in Poughkeepsie. The food is always fresh and tastes excellent. The service is good for a pizzeria restaurant and the workers are very friendly. I highly recommend the pizza, as well as the shrimp parmigiana, fried calamari, and mozzarella in carrozza. Overall, Tony’s is a great choice for Italian!

Tonys is my go-​to place for good pizza, subs, and quick Italian dishes. Whenever I go there the staff is very friendly and recognized that I am a returning customer. I really enjoy the casual environment that is provided and the consistency of the pizza and quality of other products keeps me going back for more!

I’ve worked in the area on and off for 5 years — Tony’s is by far the best quick slice you can get in town. Any type of slice I’ve tried have been great, and they generally have a good selection available at all times, probably 5 – 8 different types of slices during the lunch hour. Just walk in, place your order, and you’re out the door in 3 minutes flat.
Garlic knots are delish, too. Can’t vouch for delivery service or other menu items because I always walk in for a slice or two.
Wait staff is fast and friendly as well.

If I could give a zero I would, we we’re told one price then another for the same order and then once they agreed to sell us the food for the agreed price I gave them the credit card not even one minute later we get a phone call saying the order was more money and they quoted us wrong I stated that’s not our problem you guys gave me a price I agreed to it the manager got on the phone and said oh well do you want to pay more or not. Awful they will close sooner than later with that mentality. Guess they never heard customers always right especially since it was there fault they price me wrong not mine thanks for wasting my tim. Don’t waste yours go somewhere else where they can be honest and own up to a mistake.

This place had really good pizza over a year ago it was my favorite pizza place. Then it starting going down hill. 2 weeks ago I had my last pizza there. We ordered a pepper & chicken pizza. There was soooooo little chicken on it, no sauce it just stunk. Even when we paid the waitress questioned «there was chicken on there?» Yes Tony’s your pizza is the PITS! :(

My main problem with this place is the customer service. The store tends to put young jerks right up front working in the store and doing delivery. I once went in, ordered a pizza and garlic knots, and then one of the young kids started joking about how they had been sitting out all day and how flies had been on it with a friend. Obviously I left the store. The fresh pizza is okay. When it first opened up, the price was more reasonable to the quality of pizza. But after they got some attention they hiked up the prices a little. If they hired more professional staff, the rating would be much higher.

Have been to six or seven pizza joints in Poughkeepsie metro area (i.e., Beacon, Fishkill, Hopewell Junction, Hyde Park, Pleasant Valley), and this is the best of them.

Great value. The prices are good, and given that, nice pizza.
The bread was slightly on the too-​chewy side, but otherwise we were happy both with the gourmet eggplant pizza and the «ordinary» mushroom and peppers. Flavorful!

There’s nothing wrong with their pizza but they also have nothing on the menu that sets them apart from any other pizza place in the area. This place is definitely for people who don’t want to spend $ 16+ on a pie.

Yummy Large cheese pizza– 5.99 at the neighborhood pizza place ! What more needs to be said.
