We have been here before… And even though it is a dump we decided to come back. After a drive of over an hour and walking around the town… we walked in! There was about 8 people in the place maybe 4 or 5 at the bar. A lady walked in after us, the bartender served her then leaned against the counter without even acknowledging he had other customers. My husband raised his hand and asked if we could get drinks, he gestured and shrugged his shoulders as if we were bothering him and then said ya what, huh??? How about sorry sir, what can I get for you? The others at the bar were obviously regulars and started laughing!!! We got up and walked out as they started ringing a bell as if this was funny and appropriate! The place is a dive and seemingly on its last leg but these little places usually have really nice staff!!! We will never come here again! What a jerk!!!

Waitress whom is older that tends to the big round table is completely clueless! She took everyone’s order and walked away when it was time for my husband to order. Never did take his order… Served our food, after the cook was screaming her name to serve our food, we were about to serve ourselves! she gave us no utensils, after waiting we sought out our own. Never took our drink order. Never once checked on us. The place was not even busy. This was our second time and of course we got her AGAIN, we thought we’d give her the benefit of the doubt ev has a bad day. What makes me the mad is that I expect to bring my family and get decent service we work hard for our money too, you know. The one good thing is the kids got a good laugh watching her spinning in circles. We spent around $ 50. I left ZERO tip and a nasty note. Worst service ever! Food was GREAT! Hats off to the cooks! It makes me crazy this woman has this position and can’t even do her job while someone else out there could fill that position and give the place great service. I hate leaving this, but I hate spending money to basically service myself. I sure hope the owners see these reviews and takes heed to what she’s doing to the business. It’s a shame.

Wonderful breakfast!!! The place is run down and small and feel they should expand a bit. Service was good, quick and excellent taste!

We have always loved Sheila’s in the past. Now that they have combined with the pub, I was a bit disappointed in the food. I had heard the fish & chips were very good so I gave them a try. I can’t say they were bad, just not the best I have tasted. I wish they came with real Irish chips instead of potato ‘pub’ chips. My husband had the Reuben and it was just ok also. It is too bad they removed some of our favorites from their menu. We probably won’t be back.

Food wasn’t bad but the service was ridiculous. When we were there it wasn’t too busy yet we ended up waiting 20 – 30 minutes just for our waitress to take our order than another 45 for the food to get to us! In top of all this our food was cold as if it had been sitting for awhile. Poor service, will most likely not go back.

Great pub mac and cheese and beer batter fish and chips. This little hole in the wall on the water front has good service and great food.

Chicken. Fried. Motherfucking. Steak. Sheila’s is my JAM. Only place in town to go for breakfast. Hell, only place in Kitsap. The staff are awesome and friendly. The location is great, and it’s just the perfect amount of dock-side ratty. The prices are reasonable. The coffee is hot, fresh, delicious, and free-flowing. They do amazing house potatoes, the bread is fluffy and fresh, and every table has a killer little pot of fresh jam and Tabasco sauce(the mark of a real breakfast diner). I’d eat their chicken fried every day if it wouldn’t kill me in a decade. They just recently started serving bloodies and mamosas, too, which is just(ahem) gravy on top of an already awesome joint.

After a disappointing experience at the Diner across the street, we left there and went to Sheila’s for breakfast. It was Memorial Day weekend and the place was packed, but unlike the«other» restaurant, we were seated promptly, service was quick and efficient — and they had plenty of servers to keep everyone happy. The French toast is yummy(as are all their homemade breads), and my husband’s pancakes were light and fluffy. I would have given it 5 Stars, if it weren’t for one thing they should really change — that is putting the coffee cups upside down on the hard surface tables. There is just no plausible reason for that. Tables are cleaned with cloths that are laden with bacteria and germs — as no restaurant cleans or changes them for each table, sometimes even cleaning the chair seats with it — and go on to the next table with the same cloth. That(and putting silverware on bare tables with napkins next to it instead of underneath — which Sheila’s thankfully does NOT do!) just grosses us out — and I got up to fetch clean cups. Other than that, we like this lil’ ol’ hole in the wall place, because the food is down to earth and fresh, affordable — and served with a smile. It may not appeal to snobs though, as it is an older, very basic place.

It sort of blows my mind that there isn’t more of a waterfront breakfast spot in Poulsbo. I feel like the type of people attracted to this area would appreciate it. We found this place but it’s not really on the water. The restaurant is on the side of the building and faces a parking lot. Not exactly scenic. Service started out pretty horrible. We were seated and it took TWENTYFIVEMINUTES before a server came to our table. And we had asked at the 15 minute mark if we could order. For a tiny little hole in the wall spot, it’s ridiculous that it takes so long for service. There’s like a total of 20 tables in the entire place. But once our waitress finally came to help us, it was smooth sailing from there. The food was decent and they were nice enough to bring out a cinnamon roll in a candle and sing, as we had a birthday at the table. Overall it was just ok. It would have made a huge difference if the service was quicker.

Another breakfast place in Poulsbo serving the same generic foods that everyone else is serving, another place that can’t make a mother sauce. You’re better off hitting an IHOP, at least they aren’t pretending to be something they’re not. Service is poor, food is worse. Atmosphere is dirty and run down. The place is filled with elderly locals because they have the cheapest breakfast special in town, but they’d be better off driving a few miles for the $ 4.99 breakfast at the bowling alley. Don’t bother with this place.

Delightful little mom and pop café! The bread is homemade and it is so delicious! Everything is good. Eggs are real eggs– not the garbage you get at the corporate places. Don’t let the atmosphere fool you… The food is great. My husband said he wanted to, «take a bath» in their homemade raspberry jam. It’s so nice to have a good place to get breakfast in Kitsap county.

It’s about time I write a review for this place. I have only been here for breakfast and for the most part it is pleasant. The breakfast menu isn’t very big. There isn’t much to choose from but what they do have is pretty darn good. I like that this place sits on the little pier above the water, it’s very small and home like inside. The tables are a bit close together so when it’s busy it is a bit crammed and loud. There is a cute IQ game on each table along with a jar of homemade jam(super delicious) The chicken fried steak breakfast has been the best thing I’ve ordered. I wish I could say it was the french toast because that is usually my favorite, but theirs is very dry. They do not soak the bred long enough in the egg custard, it’s more like eating an egg coated toast. I would not suggest ordering French Toast. My last visit I ordered the pancakes and I only got 2 bites in before I had to send it back. From what I tasted it was good, a little sweet, very moist and fluffy. I sent it back because there were hard, inedible black pieces of something in them. The waitress was very apologetic and offered to remake or let me order something else but I passed. They were very concerned about it, she called in the manager to take a look, they checked the entire batch of batter, then brought someone in to deep clean the grill. I was pleased to see them take so much care. In addition to the attention to food safety and quality they did not charge us for the rest of our bill, our entire breakfast was free(even though I was the only one that didn’t eat). Bottom line, it’s a good, fast breakfast with great service. Just the basics here though.

Low key, casual place with the best fried oysters I’ve ever had. Excellent Bloody Mary’s too.

Fantastic breakfast! The chicken fried steak is amazing!!! The bread is served perfect, thick and toasted just right. The place isn’t great looking inside but the food sure makes up for it. Their pub to the right makes delicious bloody Mary’s. The atmosphere is always friendly… Definitely a place to go and just chill…
