This is a very average place. The best feature is the view. We have been here a few times. The best service comes when you leave the bar area. The wait staff is amazing and engaging on the deck and booths. They really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your experience. The bartender we had seemed to be less interested in a couple enjoying dinner and more interested in a group of locals she was friends with. Not a place for date night, but more for a night of drinking. If you are looking for a great bar to sit and grab a social drink there are much better options in this beautiful downtown.

On a sunny summer afternoon this is the place to be! Beautiful views and great food, especially the chowder(best I’ve had in awhile) and halibut tacos, which were really perfect. Service from Cecilio was friendly and spot on. I would highly recommend The Loft.

Great place to grab a drink and chat! Food is good and service is so so. More of a relaxed vibe so if you’re looking to get in and out quick this is not your place! Honestly have some of the best onion rings in town and I love the dipping sauce.

The summer barbecue is delicious! The service was fast and the service was very professional. Very friendly and enthusiastic wait staff and a clearly passionate cooking staff. Highly recommend on a nice summer day!

LOVE the cilantro lime tacos!!! So delicious! Sweet potato fries are pretty good too. Service isn’t bad, but sometimes the girls are ditzy and once one of the waitresses was flirted pretty heavy with my husband. That was annoying — but stupid people are everywhere right?!

I don’t understand the hype. Yeah, it’s got a nice view. But hell, this is Kitsap County. Hundreds of bars & restaurants have great views. The happy hour items were a joke,(like ONE brand/kind of wine, and one type of beer). The music was insanely loud, and we were seated at the bar, where I sat directly in front of the limes/lemons/cherries/etc. Thank god I didn’t have a cold, because I was THATCLOSE to the uncovered food. In the end, the bar tab didn’t justify the drinks or the service by a longshot. I won’t be back.

No complaints here… Not a formal place at all. But the food is good.

Several excellent things about The Loft: Great bar staff, especially the awesome waitress that has let us come in at 9:58pm and still get great service and a delicious meal. Out of courtesy, we always call first if we’re running that late. That said, I’m pretty sure no one else in Kitsap County would do this. It can be hard finding food at 9:00pm, so I especially like The Loft for their hours, the fact they actually keep their hours, and their great bar staff. Good food and drink options: Great place to go with a mixed crowd. Carnivores, vegans, gluten-free folks, vegetarians, pescatarians, omnivores, and even the family drunk can all enjoy a lovely meal together and that ain’t nothing! Food is consistent: People wonder, why do I keep coming back? I wonder, why is fast food in existence? It’s a bar and grill, folks, and as mentioned above, it offers a lot of choices. Is this the Pacific Northwest’s premier dining restaurant? No, and that’s why I can afford to go there. I recommend the fish tacos, the burgers, any of the salads which are all excellent and made with fresh produce, and the fish and chips of course. If you’re from out of town, ask about the local beers on tap as they always have a couple and it seems they rotate them out fairly often.

It was a lovely evening, so we decided to take the motorcycles our for a ride, ending up in Polsbo, one of our favorite places. Had to wait a bit for an outside table, but it was certainly worth it. Smash burger was a nice combination, cooked correctly, and more than enough food. The Cesar had a good dressing. I got the added shrimp and was pleasantly surprised to see that there were a bunch of them. Good place and we’ll be back.

Wow! It’s been two hours and I’m still surprised by how much the owner didn’t care. My friend is allergic to shellfish but so are a lot of people and she knows the owner, so no problem right? He tells her shellfish has touched EVERYTHING in the kitchen and so he recommends she doesn’t eat a bean burger. Just wow. And my scotch is watered down, a sacrilegious no for scotch drinkers. Since we were in a restaurant and were advised by the owner not to eat there you’d think he’d comp the bar bill but you’d be wrong on that. We went across the way and ate at Sogno di Vino. It was awesome and highly recommend. NOTETOREADER: AVOIDTHELOFT !!!

Poulsbo is an adorable town and this restaurant has a great vibe and beautiful, stunning views! I highly recommend sitting outside on their deck overlooking the marina if it is a nice, sunny day outside. Our waitress was incredibly nice and helpful. I wish I would have gotten her name. She was the kind of server who really earned her good tip. When both of my kids wanted to get the fish and chips kids meal, she advised us that it only included one small piece of fish and some french fries. She told us that it really wasn’t much food at all for the 7 $. I am so glad she was honest with us about that because both my 6 year old and 10 year old would have still felt hungry and would have been disappointed. I’m not sure what kid, other than a small toddler, one piece of fish might be an adequate enough meal for! That just seems like the restaurant is being stingy to me. My son ended up ordering the burger meal off of the kids menu and the burgers were small but at least he got two of them. To me, it looked like a small, dry hockey puck on a bun. There was no lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, or condiments other than ketchup on it. I didn’t bring it up with our server because he never complained about it, but NO adult would be happy receiving burgers like that with their paid meal. It looked like school cafeteria burgers! They could have at least made it an option for his burger to come with something on it. Not all kids are picky and like their food totally plain! My daughter and I ended up splitting the regular(adult) fish and chips meal because she really wanted fish and chips but I wasn’t going to pay 7 $ for one piece of fish. Well, for 15 $, we got three small pieces of fish and a normal sized serving of french fries. Although it tasted delicious, there was not much food at all. Even if I had gotten the meal for myself and not shared it with her, I still would not have felt full. I just don’t think the portion sizes here are worth what you pay. The french fries are very good but there was too much salt on them!!! Damn they were salty! Our server and the ambiance of the restaurant were the best part about the experience at The Loft. Although the food is very yummy, the portion sizes are too modest and the prices high.

Pretty awesome when you can find a place that truly cares about the food you put in your body. It’s great to know my lunch today wasn’t full of chemicals. I got the chicken avocado melt minus the cheese and sourdough bread and upgraded to sweet potato fries. My meal was wonderfully delicious! The service was also quick which is a big plus in my book considering I have a very busy toddler and doesn’t want to sit in a restaurant forever. I will continue to keep coming back to The Loft!

I was very excited to try this restaurant due to many of my friends recommending it. We went for lunch on a Friday and got seated right away. The view was beautiful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. As it was a Friday during lent I went with the Black Bean Quinoa burger with no bun. The burger had a good taste but was cold. Although cold, I ate it all with no complaints! I opted for sweet potato fries over regular. The fries were very yummy but had no extra flavor. Just adding that in for people who like something extra on their sweet potatoes. Overall my experience was pleasant but I think I Will try going for dinner if I return.

Food was very good. Location was very good. Ambiance was very good. Service was not so good. There was a wait to be seated so the hostess told us we could wait in the bar area. About 40 mins later, I asked when we were going to get seated since a number of people who came after us were already seated and ordering. Turns out she forgot about us and of course we had to wait again since the booths were filled up again.(We waited for a booth originally.) Once seated, we ordered a meal and a starter salad. The meal came first and then the salads came. Seems kind of backwards. The waitress was slow to check on us because her shift was ending and she was preparing to leave. I thought it was nice that she let us know. Anyway, I think it was an anomaly since I can’t believe such a good place could treat us that way. I am willing to give it another try and re-rate the restaurant. That’s what happened and it’s my honest opinion.

Eaten here many times. Only complaint is the music and volume. I have no idea how how the play list is compiled. It’s just bad. On top of that it’s loud. Can’t really enjoy the conversation with the person next to me. We eat out often, and we’d be here more but for the music/volume. Cocktails are good, wait staff is attentive. Their specials are aways the way to go. Really enjoy the view. Cheers!

Stopped in after the gym this evening for a late dinner. Hours are advertised as 10pm as their close time. Apparently, they prefer to close 35 mins early on Thursdays!!! Server/Bartender informed us at 9pm that they were trying to close because they were slow all night, and the kitchen staff were ready to leave. She then turned to other customers and informed them that they were closed. We cashed out at 9:23pm after she decided to not accept a last drink request. As I was signing my check, she served the kitchen staff drinks at the bar. Apparently the close time only applies to employees, costumers have to leave when staff is done working. The food, however, was good. I ordered two appetizers with only drink.

We ate at the bar and had the best service from Jessica. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. Asked me how I liked my drink, by the way it wss perfectly made. We actually went back later for dinner. So many good food options. The place was clean. Nicely lit, open concept. Even the kiddos at tables were content and happy with their food. I didn’t see one customer looking as if the needed anything. Wait staff was tali g care if them. very good it appeared.

Top spot on the island! Raelynn offered exceptional service. I had the grilled salmon. According to their menu, their ingredients are locally sourced and organic, which is a huge plus for me. I appreciate any establishment that takes pride in the quality of what their putting out. Rahul had the chicken avocado melt, and it was exactly as you’d expect anything with the word«melt» in the title to taste. Amazing! As if it couldn’t get any better, for desert, we had the apple pie. Best apple pie I have ever had in my life! Add to this all, the beautiful view of the view of the overcast haze on the lake… all combined to make it a perfect experience. We will definitely be coming back for a repeat!

Every time that I visit the Poulsbough area I always eat here with my family. The service was very good for my family this evening but in the past it has been poor. The food is fresh and good but the portions are a tad small. The avocado fries were amazing and delicious. I would come back just for them. I had the thai chicken salad and it has an odd pesto like dressing. I recommend this restaurant, just be careful what you order as many items are overpriced and small.
