Had an amazing birthday celebration at Agate Pass while vacationing in Seattle area with loved ones! Our group ordered a variety of appetizers, cocktails, and entrees and everything was delectable! The fried olives were full of flavor but the blue cheese stuffed dates definitely were a highlight for me. I loved the balance of crisp bacon wrapping the sweet creaminess of the stuffed dates. The star of the appetizers was definitely the steamed clams though. They were incredible and the grilled bread was perfect for enjoying the savory wine-based broth. Having lived in Savannah, GA for over a decade, I could not resist the urge to try the shrimp grits for my main course. I was not disappointed! The portion was just right and the grits were tender, creamy, and delicious! I definitely recommend you try Agate Pass for your next meal.

Agate Pass Café is a very small, and unassuming café with a lovely view of Suquamish dock and Port Madison harbor. They don’t take reservations for small parties, and the combination of good food and size meant we had to wait about 30 minutes. That was okay since there is a nice area to walk around(nice pier, little walking area by the Community Center)…although you’ll need a jacket as the wind is brisk. The food was tasty, fresh, and nicely displayed. Our server was nice, helpful and attentive. They have a small but varied selection of interesting dishes, and there were a few additional specials. The portions are just right(not overwhelming but not miniscule french sizes either). The tables are close(again, it’s a small place) but we had a fun conversation with the folks next to us do we didn’t mind at all. It is definitely worth a trip to Suquamish to check this place out. We will certainly be back for a second experience.

My fiancé and I went here on 2÷13÷16. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! We arrived right at 5 which is when they were opening the doors. It was a good thing we got there when we did because within 10 min the place was full. The staff was attentive and everyone was coming around, even the owner who was filling our water and asking how the meal was. We started with the clams which had a great spice to them. She had the pasta and i had the NY steak with the blue cheese butter and goodness gracious. perfectly cooked and tender. we ended the meal with a great little pear and berry crumble. we will be back and will recommend the place to anyone. Maybe the best hidden gem on the whole peninsula.

I don’t know there to start. Their chef aims to serve dishes with the freshest ingredients possible, and it shows. Their menu is not overwhelming and they serving portions are ideal. My favorite time to dine here is for breakfast or brunch. You can’t go wrong with their french toast or housemade sausage. Their wait staff are polite, attentive, and very welcoming.

Great service, lively spot this Friday night, enjoyed clam app and salad with egg on top but entrée was disappointing, such a small piece of rockfish but management did the right thing and gave us a redo. Didn’t need it but finished off with a luscious chocolate dessert. Left happy but as the night went on, I suffered from big thirst. Man, everything was so salty! Still, we will probably go back again since there’s not much really good to eat on the Kitsap peninsula.

Exceptional food and service! I would absolutely recommend the bagna cauda to everyone who visits. Overall, this restaurant made for quite an enjoyable evening.

Stupid good. AMAZING food. Cool location. Great service. Seated immediately even during Sunday brunch hour. I had the salmon scramble. Boyfriend had the brunch BLT. Even the salad on the side was delicious. I could have licked my plate clean. They also serve caffe vita drip coffee with legit cream. Also delish. I’ll happily make the two hour commute back to this place.

Drew and Susanna the new owners of the Agate Pass Café, thank you. We had the most amazing meal tonight for my birthday. We started off with multiple appetizers the Clams with chorizo, the Crab gazpacho, Caprese Plate, the Ceviche with a touch of coconut milk and the Salmon blini which were on Johnny cakes that took us back to childhood. Awesome, my eyes seriously rolled back in my head and I got a cramp in my leg. Aaaaaahhhhhh! You might think that would have been enough for us, but no… the tomato risotto, we also had the delectable grass fed burger with Gruyère cheese and the rosemary fries, and we finished off with the almond bread pudding with whiskey sauce. The pudding is so whiskeified it will put some hair on your chest. It’s my new favorite restaurant on the Kitsap peninsula. Come one come all. It definitely worth the trip to Saquamish WA.

I’ve been driving by this little place on my way from the ferry to our beach cabin in Hansville for years. Last night we finally stopped in. Wow, what a great little place this is! The service was impeccable by any standard. The food and drinks were imaginative and similarly lovely. The ambiance was perfectly unpretentious yet elegant and befitting the sophistication of the menu. As our outstanding meal was coming to a close, my little boy was starting to get a little whiny and antsy. One of the guys behind the bar spotted us and calmly came over to offer a tour of the kitchen. The smile he brought to my son’s face enabled all of us to comfortably enjoy the dessert course(a brilliant chocolate pot au crème) thus finishing this perfect evening on the high note it deserved. We will be back again and again. Bravo Agate Pass Café! Bravo!

We came here as recommended by a local, and glad to have done so. The food was awesome. My boyfriend had a salmon blini made with Lummi smoked salmon, crème fraîche and cornmeal pancakes. I had a bite of his salmon and it was really, really good. I ordered the Painted Hills beef burger, which of course with Painted Hills beef, it’s destined to be good. It was overcooked to my medium-rare request, but as previously mentioned, it was still good, especially with the fresh butter lettuce and Beecher’s handmade cheese. I also liked that on tap, they had local drafts from Bainbridge Island. We sat on the porch, which is the outdoor seating area. There are only two long tables on either side of the porch, so space is limited. The place seemed to be lively with a bunch of locals. I would certainly come back whenever in the area again.

Rich and deliciously satisfying pork belly, grits and, perfect eggs, smooth coffee, pleasant view and the nicest service as can be. What an unexpectedly delightful way to start a Sunday.

What a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was a casual luxe, clean and tidy. Our server was wonderful and the food excellent. I can’t wait to go back. It is refreshing to find such a place close to home. I had a perfectly prepared steak and rosemary frites, my friend had the chicken with a marsala sauce, very tasty and there are no words to describe the apple and kale salad. Our cocktails were just as yummy as our food.

I had been hearing wonderful things about this place for a few years, but finally decided to give it a try in a spur of the moment decision in the fall of 2013. I am so glad I did! We were blown away by how amazing the food was. The bacon wrapped figs are to die for. The salmon blini just might be one of my favorite dishes of all time! I had brought a large group with me in March of 2015, and a few of us simply ordered more blini’s as our main dish… it’s that yummy! I have been here probably a half dozen times or more, and have always been pleased with both the food & the service. It is such a unpretentious place, with truly incredible food. Definitely give it a try!

Had a big day planned for Bainbridge, only to find that the bridge was backed up several miles. Luckily, my MIL suggested we try Agate Pass instead. What a treat it ended up being! We had no trouble getting a table at lunchtime on a Sunday. I ordered the croque madame. My wife ordered the burger and fries. My meal was very good. The toast was thick and the egg was perfectly cooked. The sauce and cheese on it added a nice complexity as well. I had a bite of my wife’s burger, and it was also very good. They both came with«frites»…or «fries» if sounding fancy isn’t that important to you. The fries were very, very good – thin, cooked to the point of being crispy and flavorful without being burned. My wife had a ginger beer, which was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and bring friends.

Oye vey, my Jewish ancestors would not be happy but I’ve fallen in love with the Agate Pass Café’s pork chop. It’s perfect. I’m going to marry it. Especially after the fried brussel sprout appetizer or the perfectly tender calamari, or maybe the cauliflower bagna cuda(?) with pine nuts and garlic. The combinations sound odd sometimes on the menu, but then stick a fork in it. No, really, stick your fork in it and get a taste of everything executive chef Marty Bracken has put on your plate — everything, including the fresh herbs drizzled with some wondrous olive oil and sea salt — are there to make you happy. I’m not a dessert girl but every sweet thing ordered by my companions has tasted like it came right from France. Not that I’ve been to France. But it tastes how I imagine a dessert would taste in Paris if Paris was in Suquamish. It’s a small place but every time I’ve been there, including for brunch, the service has been stellar and the drinks delicious.
