The atmosphere is cool, but OMG the food! Bleh! Not my cup of tea! They don’t even have French fries or ranch for the non adventitious eater. I have fun memories with friends here & I’d go back if the friends I’m with wanted to– but I’d never say«hey lets go there»

Overall the food was okay, not very impressed by it. The server was friendly but had the lack of professionalism that should be upheld in a restaurant! If we wouldn’t have needed to get to the ferry in time we would have sent our food back and requested that our server washed his hands after we watched him do push ups on the floor in the seating area and play with his phone. Sorry, but not very impressed and won’t be wanting to go back.

One of my favorite restaurants in Poulsbo! This is such a quaint place with delicious food. We bring all our guests who visit to eat here. Not one complaint!

Felt like I was back in Germany and tasted like it as well. The only reason it is only 4 stars is because the waiter forgot the lemons we requested for our water and by the previous reviews it shows this is common for the waiters.

This place is «lick your plate» worthy. From something as simple as a beet salad to the shepard’s pie! Yummy! My husband is from philly and he raves about the«Philly pretzel» yet verbally stated during our meal here(I quote) «this is the best pretzel I’ve ever had in my life.»

What a little gem in Poulsbo. We have never been to Poulsbo and on out way through town, decided to stop here for dinner based on the Unilocal reviews and our love for German food. The place is upstairs, we had a bit of a problem finding it. But… we got seated right away on a Friday night. Our waiter was prompt with drinks and taking our order. Our food came in and 15 — 20 minutes or so. 2 ordered the Jäger schnitzel with potato salad and caesar salad. One ordered shrimp linguini(Euro pub) and one ordered sweedish meatballs with horseradish mashed potatoes and sautéed cabbage. Everyone was very happy with their meals and ate almost every bite. We had one small to go box. Not 5 stars because the place could have been a bit cleaner but the food was delicious!

First off… it’s a great pub AND it’s kid friendly, which just begs for 5 stars. Whenever we come to Poulsbo the kids beg to come here: we call it «the hot pretzel place». Everything is tasty but I dream about the Hungarian goulash. Hubby is partial to the Swedish meatballs. The place makes up for lack of décor with delicious food and an expansive beer list. Wine is a very generous pour!

Tizley’s Europub is located on the main drag Poulsbo’s Little Norway(no joke a Viking statue welcome you into the town.) You’ll need to head into a small alley and up to the second floor. It’s not scary at all. Just be kind to your fellow dinner; the stairs are one way. My suggestion is let them come down the stairs first; it will make more room for you to get in. There’s a bar and several small rooms with tables that are configured as needed for parties of 2, 4, 6, 8. Outdoor seating on the terrace is available; the weather can be tricky on WA so I’m guessing the seating there depends your definition of good weather. Three of us went for dinner. My brother and sister-in-law have been there a few times. We opted to go GERMAN verses the EURO offering on the menu. The portions are HUGE!!! They offer tons of beers on tap. I found a very nice bottle of wine(Cotes du Rhone). Service was good and friendly. Felt like a real locals’ joint with some tourists sprinkled in but then again it was a weeknight. The meal: Pretzel — ordered before we looked at the menu. One was more than enough for 3 people. TRUSTME!!! It was a plate sized soft pretzel with hot and grainy mustards. Nice way to start the meal. Cucumber Salad — Greens, sliced cucumbers and radishes topped with creamy dill dressing. This was perfect to cut through the dense meal we ordered. Sampler Platter for 2 — schnitzels, sausages, Hungarian chicken goulash, spaetzel and rotkohl. Schnitzel was a fried veal cutlet it was good. Sausages only two more on that later. Chicken goulash was pieces of fall off the bone chicken stews in a tomato broth. Spaetzel was soft egg noodle mini dumplings that were perfectly sautéed so there were crunchy and chewy bits in each forkful. Rotkohl a red cabbage slaw; I’m a huge fan! Sausage Sampler Appetizer because 2 sausages on the sampler was not enough for 3 people to share. Brat, knots and Italian Sausages — very good very rich. There was no room for dessert. Great meal and a good time. My family will be backs sooner than I will but it’s on my list for my next trip back to WA.

I would like to rate it a little higher, but cleanliness knocks down it two stars. This place is in need of a major renovation. It’s so dirty. It feels like the building is going to collapse in the sea. The water glasses need to be exchanged for new ones. I’m sure the location rent is high, but prices weren’t bottom dollar either. The food was pretty good. I would go back. I hope the walls are scrubbed and the carpet is replaced for something less porous. A sealed wood would be nice. The interior doesn’t suit the rest of the local niche downtown flare.

Authentic German/Euro food, great beers on tap. I have tried several different things, including the platters. I like all the standard things they have, blue kraut, schnitzel, sausages, spaetzle, etc… They are all very good. Its pretty consistent. There are a few unique items on the menu that are pretty good like the Pile Driver, Hungarian Goulash, steak salad., etc… Actually I haven’t had anything here I didn’t like. It can be a little heavy, since most of it is fried. Can get busy. The Pretzel appetizer is a must!

I love visiting this spot when I’m in poulsbo. The great service is always very friendly and quick! I’ve dined here alone and with friends and it was a great experience each time. Portions are very big, and the beers on tap have a lot of variety. Come here if you like german/norwegian/Italian food. Prost!

This place is awesome! The service was splendid and the chefs are so friendly! I had the drunken sausage and that is a must have. 5 stars, delicious flavorful broth, perfect for a cold day. I also got the soup of the day, German pork and dumpling soup, and it was to die for. It’s a great location overlooking the main drag, friendly staff, great food, and a rustic charm that makes you feel like you stepped into a pub in London or Germany. Highly recommend!

I was very excited to go to this restaurant during my visit to Poulsbo… I traveled to the Scandinavian countries and to Germany last year and I was soooo excited to EAT some german/european food and had my hubby tried it too!!! The restaurant was in an upstairs accessible through the side of a building(there was a sign, so you won’t miss it)… We got up a staircase and the«check in» area was just right by the stairs… I noticed the floor(carpeted) was kinda dirty… well. it is a «europub» afterall… ok, no biggy! A waiter noticed us but she was busy running around doing things. there were another group of diners ahead of us and they also looked confused why we were just ignored… After a few minutes… we did get seated… the tables looked kinda dirty, the whole place actually looked filthy… kinda dive-bar-looking… We ordered the sampler plate that came with pork snitzels, uli’s sausages, chicken goulash and the fixing. I asked for a gravy, it never came!!! Hubby ordered coke that was supposedly came with free refills. She forgot hubby’s coke! His coke didn’t arrive until halfway through our meal and it was difficult to get refills as our waitress was also the bartender and she was«busy» entertaining a couple people at the bar so she was not attentive to us. Food came out within 20 minutes… a bit longer than I was hoping. we were starving and the restaurant was not even half full… We also heard how some tables orders were messed up… so basically, lots of mistakes happened that day with the cook kinda yelled at the waitress for not giving a clear instruction on the food tickets. The worst part of the meal. aside from the not-attentive service, filthy restaurant, was that there was a bee that was«hanging around» our table! At the end, the waitress managed to release the bee. but we noticed that there were many many more bees especially outside in the balcony where most diners chose to sit to dine… perhaps there was a nest somewhere!!! The food was good and the portion was huge… smaller stomach can easily split this sampler plate to feed 3 – 4 stomach. However, the slow, non attentive service, filthy condition of the place… totally not worth it… plus it’s not cheap! we spent around $ 60 for our meal…

I’m coming back here!!! We spent a touristy day hopping around Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island with out of town guests and decided that German food sounded especially good on a rare dreary September day in Seattle. We hadn’t eaten and we arrived after 2pm starving and happy that there was no wait to get a table. We were seated right away at a cozy table by the window to people watch and look out on the marina. The restaurant is upstairs and super low-key and charming. They had a great selection on their tap list of which a few ordered an Oktoberfest. We easily decided on the family platter to share and also ordered a side of sauerkraut to round it all out. The service was great the whole time we were there; checking in when needed but letting us just enjoy each others company. It wasn’t too long when we see our huge platter come out of the kitchen. It looked so heavenly as it was placed in front of us. We had some of the best sausage I’ve ever had, pork schnitzel, spaetzle, chicken goulash, red cabbage and a couple of mustard to try. Everything was delicious and so proven by us completely finishing the whole platter. I didn’t think it was going to be cleaned and it took us some time but we did it. We were all filled to the gills and very content with our meal. The price for such a large quantity of food and some really high quality food was more than reasonable and fueled us up for window shopping and the likes around the cute town of Poulsbo.

Tizzy’s is a solid option if your in Poulsbo and need a place to satisfy the varied tastes of a family on vacation. The service lacked fluidity, but was always friendly. Kiddo enjoyed the plain noodles. All of the schnitzel received rave reviews, but the hamburger was nothing special. We all agreed that the hot pretzel was the best thing on the menu. The beer selection is a major plus. Several taps always on rotation.

The spatzel is delicious, I told the chefs it was so good it should be illegal. We also had a couple of beers, perfect for a hot day. The rosemary garlic chicken sandwich was delicious. Unexpected in a German restaurant. The sausages were great as was the sauerkraut. All in all a must see in Poulsbo. We will definitely be coming back.

My team and I stopped here for a late lunch on June 4th. I made a reservation ahead of time for 12 of us. When we get there, there was plenty of seats and the restaurant already had our table ready :). yay! Here is what I think: — Service: 5 stars. The waitress was very attentive and served very well for 12 of us! man, she was a super human :) — Drink: 5 stars. Everyone loved their beer. I had a black cherry soda. It was good. I want more! — Foods: 5 stars. Dang!!! that was the best German foods I have in the state! the sausage, schnitzels, etc was very very good. 2 of my co-workers are actually from Germany on an expat, so I asked what they think. They said it was authentic, the only thing he said was different is the sausage was spicy, which they don’t eat spicy sausage in Germany. I asked what he think of the restaurant, he said: «I feel like home!»…Tizley’s, you did good!!! — Clean: 5 stars. Clean and no fly or anything :) — Bathroom: 4 stars. they only have 1 bathroom so watch out if they have a big group of people. Also, this is why I give them 4 stars, the hand soap was mixed in with water and I would think it was 80% water, 20% soap — so i didn’t feel clean enough to eat my foods again. The soap is only .99 cent at Walmart. Come one, Tizley’s, don’t save money on the hygiene supply! And, one bad thing, my co worker beer was in a cracked cup. see picture! we notified the waitress, she apologized and changed his cup right away. Overall, I will bring friends back here ;)

Tizley’s is the best. The schnitzel sandwich is my go-to, but everything I’ve seen go past my eyes and nostrils looked and smelled just as good. The front patio is great for car and people watching. The bloody mary’s looked phenomenal. We had a big group of about 20 and they accommodated us with stellar service. I called the night before to let them know we were coming, but we ended up being about 45 minutes early. It wasn’t a problem though, thankfully. Tizley’s is awesome!
