I might come here at least twice a week, sometimes I lose count. This is definitely a hidden gem in Poway. Fortunately for me, it’s right down the street from my work. The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the people working there are fantastic. Every time overall through the door I am greeted and asked how my day is going. I order the same thing every time(which they have memorized) and it is always cooked to perfection. I really appreciate the small businesses like this! You should go try it for yourself!

Great little hole in the wall place. I’ve been coming here a few years now, and have never had a bad experience. I usually get the Moo Goo Gai Pan with fried rice and either won ton soup or an egg roll. It is always fresh, hot and delicious. The service is great and the lady there is super sweet. For an extra treat I sometimes get the mango boba smoothie… yum!

Wow, this had been our go-to take out place for Chinese food for the last 3 – 4 years and was never disappointed! Always hot and fresh and priced right! I luv the cuisine, but Hubby isn’t much of a fan of Asian food, but was always able to get what he liked thanks to the sweet accommodating lady behind the counter… however, this last time a few weeks ago we ordered our usual, and noticed the prices had not only gone Up, but the quality of the food had really went Down hill! Just not the same? The orange chicken was dry& tough. Soup was not really hot, and my Almond chicken was lacking in meat, veggies and taste! Not to mention we got white rice and not the fried rice we had ordered!!! We were sooo disappointed to say the least! Doubt if we’ll go their again unfortunately!

My brother showed us this place, and it’s amazing! The owner is so sweet, the food is DELICIOUS, and it’s greatest Asian cuisine I’ve had that is so inexpensive. :) I only wish they delivered!

Hole in the wall place… its the only place for Chinese pickup. The lady is the sweetest and the portion sizes are big. For a party of 5 – 6 people, only 3 – 4 entrees are more than enough. We have ordered kungpao(tofu, chicken, fish beef. all good). Their chicken and vegetables dish is my favorite, very healthy and tasty. Their schewan chicken and noodles are amazing too.

Terrible. We ordered food not from the bar so it would be fresh. Food comes out undercooked, my teriyaki chicken was cold. When I went back in with it all they did was throw it in the microwave to heat it. Won’t be back

Friendly cashier and great food. The smoothie wasn’t too great but it wasn’t too bad either. Conveniently located across the street from my hotel.

The food here is fantastic. My only disappointment was that they don’t take American Express cards. The food is very filling, inexpensive and delicious. I especially liked the orange chicken and the cashew pork. It had the perfect textures and crispness with a freshness of the vegetables that can only be from a family owned business.

Search for our go-to Chinese place is over! Delicious, super fresh Chinese food. Everything was made to order and the best we have had in the area. The ladies running the place were really nice with our kids and kept checking in that we had everything we needed while joking with the kiddos.

I just happened upon this place when I was craving Chinese food. You can’t even compare it to Panda. Brought me back to my younger days growing up in San Francisco where we had authentic Chinese and American Chinese food. This place was in between… The food was delicious…

You can find good Thai all over San Diego, good Chinese has been a tougher find for me. Growing up in Chicago, you could find an amazing Chinese place in every town. This is my go to place for Chinese take out in Poway. My favorite menu item is their garlic chicken wings. The same friendly lady is always there greeting me at the counter. It feels like a mom and pop place which is probably why the food is consistently good… family pride.

One of only a few places in San Diego that serves up that good ‘ol egg foo young. Great food all around and very friendly people.

Our favorite go-to Chinese place. Food is always fresh and hot. They package your to-go orders well to keep them from spilling(tape on the lids of liquids) We live close by in Sabre Springs, so this is our go-to place for mango and taro boba. They make wonderful hearty soups! The orange chicken is given in hearty portions. The service is always good!

If you order the right stuff and I mean basically talking in Cantonese with the owners/staff there then you should get decent Chinese food here. I’m not a fan of Westernized Chinese food so I won’t bother recommending/commenting about those items on their menu. Also I would like to keep in mind for the readers that this is based on San Diego Chinese food expectations. I would in no means recommend anyone to come here if it’s out of the way and especially for people from LA visiting San Diego and for some odd reason want to eat Chinese food. I ordered the Beef Hor Fun(Beef Dried Wide Rice Noodles) and Sup Beef Fun(Beef Wet Wide Rice Noodles). Both are pretty decent here. Not too oily and decent amount of beef pieces. I also order the Honey Walnut Shrimp which was pretty decent too. It wasn’t drenched in mayo and it was pretty lightly battered. Walnut were not bitter and not soggy and very crunchy. Their Thai Ice tea is not bad as well. If you are from Hong Kong or your parents are from Hong Kong, you will find this place to be not too bad in quality. I tried the Sweet and Sour Fish but it was too heavily breaded for my taste. The flavor was there but the batter to fish ratio was a bit off so I would advise ordering that. I also tried their Curry Pork and Shrimp fried noodle which was decent but not the best I have had. I would rank that lower than their Beef Hor Fun and Sup Beef Fun. I would give this place 3.5 stars but since I can’t, it’s more 4 stars than it is 3 stars.

Gotta echo the sentiment about the salt & pepper & garlic chicken wings. They are really yummy! We’ve had those a couple times and really enjoyed them. The other day we got House Special Kung Pao(chicken, shrimp & pork) and Buddha’s Delight. Both were very good… not OMG out of this world but very good. Same for the hot and sour soup. The only dish I haven’t cared for so far is the Egg Foo Young. The egg part was really thick and the sauce was kind of thin. That’s okay, there are enough other dishes to enjoy. The lady the works up front is always very gracious and calls me by name when I come in to pick up my order. Prices are reasonable. Orders are always ready on time. Parking is plentiful.

Love this little hidden gem in Poway. We had some hot & sour soup, which was delish. For our meal, we ordered the beef chow fun and schezwuan beef which were both excellent. The best part was the service. Super quick and the lady that took our order was so nice and friendly. Think I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in SD.

This restaurant is my go to at work. I go here a lot and they pretty much know me by name already. They are very accommodating which is good because I usually ask to modify my food. Their menu has a good variety at a very cheap price :)

This is a small family run business and the dishes are a hit or miss, but the lady working behind the counter is soo adorably friendly, you just can’t help but want to come back again and again. I love that they offer specials at any time. That means for under $ 8 you can get your choice of soup, egg roll, or wonton and a main dish. The sweet and sour pork is a favorite of mine. It’s across the street from Costco, so if you’re not in the mood for a hot dog from the food court, this is a great option for the drive home. Please note that they are closed on Sundays!

One of the many hidden spots around San Diego. They are located in a corner of a small plaza in Poway. Surprisingly they have a large menu for being an «express» place and their food portions are great for the prices! SERVICE: Customer service is always on point here ! They are never busy. There are plenty of seatings inside and outside. They are quick to serve you your waters, utensils, etc. They cook your food FAST ! I swear that after every item I ordered, it came out within the next 5 minutes ! They always make sure everything is OK or if you need anything else. They are always friendly with smiles FOOD: Honey Walnut Shrimp Deliciously well flavored with coconut sauce and is freshly fried, never soggy. They serve enough walnuts to eat with each bite. The serving size is quite large! Curry Shrimp Curry had good flavors. Vegetables went well. Your choice of white rice or fried rice. Wonton Soup Yummy little soup. Very addicting if you add the crunchy wonton strips. Deep Fried Cream Cheese Wontons These were one of the best wontons I’ve ever had because they filled it up with ALOT of cream cheese! They were crispy and their sweet and sour sauce was thick and sweet. Most places skimp out on the cream cheese and their sauce is watered down, but not here ! Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings BOMBBBB ! Perfectly fried. Wings were good sized, not small. Extra crispy and hot as served. Mongolian Beef Beef was very tender and juicy. Seafood Special Basically a stir fry mix of shrimp, mushrooms, snow peas, bell peppers, carrots, bamboo, and one more vegetable. It was a nice healthy meal. Light flavors. OVERALL, food here is great for the price. Cheap, fast, and will get you full. I prefer this place over Panda Express ANYDAY !!! But, i do think this place could use an update(probably like every other chinese place)
