Lapels Dry Cleaners

Fantastic, reliable service and fair prices. I have been using Lapels for about 3 years and I can highly recommend them.

Dropped off 8 pairs of pants and 6 shirts, two of the shirts were brand new still on the store’s hanger. Asked for them to be cleaned and pressed. When I went to pick them up the employee at the counter said they did not clean one shirt because it was defective. I said What? He showed me the shirt and from the two bottom buttons to the bottom of the shirt on the left side it looked like someone spilt a gallon of bleach on the shirt. He tells me it looks like someone tried to clean the shirt with bleach (this is a colored shirt btw). I said «That is a brand new shirt and I have never worn it» He looks at me and says nothing and hands me $ 2 for not cleaning the shirt. I said how did this happen? he says it was dropped off in this condition. I said no it wasn’t, it is a brand new shirt.
Can’t believe he would not own up to damaging/​destroying my shirt. Who the heck is going to soak a colored shirt in what must have been a gallon of bleach. The shirt looked like it went through a fire w/​o all the carbon and soot left behind. Needless to say my last visit to this cleaner.
The cleaner contacted my wife (she is on the account) and offered to pay for the shirt. So they did make an effort to make this right, but they have still lost my business.

Has been our regular dry cleaners for many years (beginning with his prior locaton in this shopping center). Service is prompt and the owner always greets and chats with us. We’ve rarely had an issue with the dry cleaning we’ve brought in other than a missing or broken shirt button which was always fixed when we brought it to the owner’s attention. We’ve moved 8 miles further away, but still come to Lapel’s on Poway Rd.

I have been coming here for several years! Mr. Ashish Patel is very friendly man, he knows his customers very well and always greats you by name. Their prices are reasonable and most importantly his quality of work is outstanding!

Moved to the neighborhood from downtown San Diego and found this gem. Prices are right, customer service and quality are spot on — can’t say enough good things about the experiences I’ve had at this establishment.

Husband and I have been coming here since we moved into poway, the owner knows my husband by name he is nice funny friendly and our clothes always come out great!

Worst attitude ever. Never coming here again. Zero stars if I could! Service is terrible and location is poorly managed by some Indian man who barks at people for parking outside his store when it’s in a plaza, and unlabeled. Most uncultured man I have ever seen. It’s a free parking spot, not one for your store. Don’t kid yourself Lapel!
