I needed a quick barbershop nearby from work and after reading the Unilocal reviews i decided to try this place out. Same price as my normal barber shop $ 8 but the quality of haircut is night and day. They really listen to what you want here and are more than eager to give you a haircut based on what you want and not what they feel like. As the wait was very short, I will be coming here now as my regular barber shop.

Awesome experience. I walked in and there was an open chair on a Sunday. No wait at all. The barber was professional, asked me how I wanted my hair cut and went to work. He was VERY detail oriented and spent a lot of time on the little things. This was a man who knew how to cut a man’s hair and I really appreciated that. I walked out with a great haircut for $ 8 that beat the pants off of the bigger, more expensive places. I’ll definitely be back.

I have been going here for at least 5 years. Quick, good and cheap haircut… Even when there is a line, it goes quick.

The bf needed a quick haircut and we Unilocaled places in Poway since we were in the area. Called and asked about the wait time and were told no wait so we headed over. Walked in and saw they were right about the wait, only two people occupying the 6 chairs. Hmm, a barber shop with no wait on a Saturday afternoon is a little questionable. Prior to Library barber, the bf had been going to the new«upscale» barbers in Del Mar and Hillcrest so I was slightly worried and hoped this barber wouldn’t mess up his existing cut. Bf opted for both a haircut and beard cleanup when were told it was only $ 15. By the time we left, most of the seats were full with customers waiting for a cut. Despite the fact the shop had been filling up, his barber still continued to take his time on the cut. We left satisfied, knowing it was $ 20 well spent($ 15+tip). Just a note-beard cleanup is done w trimmers only. Wouldn’t really recommend it unless you have a very long beard. This place isn’t fancy but if you need something quick, its the spot for you.

This place isn’t fancy; but it is big, clean, and the barbers listen to you before they give you a $ 8 haircut. The barbers use both scissors and clippers, but they don’t use a razor around the ears and neck. I visited at 0830 so there wasn’t a wait. I’ll be back.

Rude… I called to verify the hours of operation, Unilocal says they close at 5pm. I asked, the lady simply said nope, and hung up. I called back, got the same lady, asked again, she said«5:30PM!» then hug up again.

$ 7 haircut! Nothing fancy. No man-highlights, no foil, no foo foo hairdryers or conditioners. Just your plain old barber shop… run by Vietnamese of course! Ok, so maybe not your old fashioned barbershop, but you still get a good cut… for cheap. The barbers are always so nice. There’s little wait, if any. The one male barber is the best. He’s extremely precise and a perfectionist. No hurry job here. Plus, my kiddo gets a lollipop when he’s done. Sweet. Oh, did I mention it’s $ 7. That’s right. A 10 spot including tip and you’re outta there. Since my kiddo needs a haircut every month, $ 7 is just perfect.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a great barber shop to go to. I am not a fan of the large chains, and have tried a few other barber shops in this area, but this one was by far the best one I went to. It has that nice barber shop feel to it and they cut my hair perfectly. I went during lunch and not much of a crowd, the line went quick!
