I’ve been going to Sal for my haircuts since I was in the 3^rd grade (I’m 36 now). Sal is incredibly talented as a barber and I enjoy getting a haircut from him. His jokes and personality are very friendly. He is definitely an old school barber. I have recommended him to everyone I know. My father also has been going to Sal for his haircuts for 25 years +. Only one time he went to a budget barber shop and then he immediately went back to Sal so Sal could fix the haircut from the other place. Lesson learned!

Sal is the best barber new or old school in my opinion. I have been taking my son and nephew there since their first hair cuts (they are now 11 and 13). Every time we go into the shop there is a friendly atmosphere and a smiling face.
The boys love getting their hair cuts there because Sal makes them laugh and they get candy after the cut. Even at 11 and 13 they will take the candy lol.
Not really sure what The bad review was about. I mean come on if you want a star on your head you should probably go to salon in the mall not an old school Italian barber.
Anyway, I will pay 20 bucks any day! I mean where else could you go and get entertained and a great hair cut at that price! Remember people you get what you pay for. Love Poway Barbers.

Sal will give you a good quality old-​school haircut and entertain you with stories and off-​color jokes. Yea, twenty bucks for my next haircut seems a little steep. But I’ll be going back.

I used to go there 20 years ago but Sal was «losin’ it» back then. I young friend of mine went there recently for a design cut into the back of his head. Sal said he could do it and then proceeded to cut a design of «HIS» choosing into my friends hair.
Avoid this shop like the plague.

Old time barber shop, no hair salon here. Sal the owner is an old style barber. First cut is half off. Went and got a nice trim even trimmed up my beard. Unfortunately
it’s a bit much mens cut $ 20.
