I was recommended to Poway Vision Care by my Opthalmologist about 3 years ago. 3 years later I would not consider going to any other OD. Very careful and caring service. The Doctor is really concerned that your vision is the very best it can possibly be and he is very good at getting your vision dialed in. The office is very friendly and easy to deal with. Yep — this place is great.

I would like to thank Dr. Bloomberg and his staff for taking time and being so nice.
Regina took some much time to help me pick out glasses and was so sweet.
The young lady at the counter was smart and on it. Good service is so hard
to get any more. Dr. Bloomberg took all the time for questions and to go over
family history. He is so kind and made me feel like I was a friend.
If you need an eye doctor go to this office, you will love them.

I stopped in last Friday without an appointment, to see if I could get some new readers. They have such a great selection at really affordable prices. I think the lady on the front desk, Regina, is new. Well new to me anyway. She was very helpful and knew her product well. I ended up getting two pairs! I explained I needed them by the end of the following week, so was thrilled when she called me on Tuesday to say they were both back. Now THAT was quick! Thanks Regina, your service is excellent and much appreciated.

Dr Blomberg was great with his exam. Barbara was great with helping me to choose glasses. Prescription arrived, I went to pick them up, Barbara helped me adjust them — it was quick, no problems and great service. Thanks

I went to Dr. Bloomberg and he seemed well intentioned enough… seemed to care about my eye care and the issues I had with chronic dry eyes. The receptionist /​office manager, Silvia, is a completely useless though. There were way too many mistakes with my eye glass AND contact lens order for it to be all a coincidence.
First, my eye glasses. When I left, she said she’d put in the order for my glasses and that they should come in about two weeks. Almost 3 weeks later, no call. I called to follow up and she said that it was on its way and that with the holiday weekend, it was caught in the mail system, but that it would arrive by end of the day or tomorrow, the latest. Two days pass, no call. So again, I call to inquire and she says that she’ll have to «look into it» and call me back. No call. I finally got a hold of her a few days later, and she says that for some reason, the order was never placed. (What??? Couldn’t she have checked on the status and come up with that answer a week or two ago?). Finally, she places the order and a week later I call… she says «sorry, but one of the lens came in w/​the wrong prescription.»…more waiting…
Next, I ordered new contact lens… they gave me a trial pair that wasn’t exactly the prescription I needed. When my lens came in, again, one lens was not right… so another reorder and wait.
I have since moved to San Francisco and my new doctor sent in my HIPAA to request my old vision records…2 months later, Dr. Bloomberg’s office still has not sent any of my records. I just found out that they did receive my formal request of records and they just ignored it… or lost /​misplaced the request… just like they forgot to place my eyeglass order…
I have NEVER experienced so many blotches with my vision care in my life. My recommendation to Dr. Bloomberg is to better train the staff so that they are competent. This was honestly a painful experience.

I went here for the first time last month, I chose it because they were under my insurance and on my way home from work. It’s a cute little office in Poway right by Rosaria Pizza, behind House on the Hill. Dr. Bloomberg is very nice and knowledgeable. The ladies who work here are also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Poway Vision care.
