Tow Pros

My wife and daughter were rear ended by a white Toyota on 8 Jan, on Pomerado Road just north of the hospital in the north bound lanes by the Good Will. My daughter was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. While on scene I started to call AAA when a Pacific Autow Center tow truck pulled up with AAA emblazoned across the vehicle. I hung up, approached the driver and handed him my AAA card information and asked him if he could take the information off the card and make arrangements for my vehicle to be towed to my home in Sabre Springs (about 4 miles). I am assuming the police called in the tow for the white Toyota that rear ended ours, which was obviously not drive-​able.
The Pacific Autow Center driver said sure, but recommended that since we were obviously not at fault that we should have our vehicle towed to Poway Tow Pros. He said that he had been towing for 18 years and that this was a no brainer because all the costs would be paid for by the other driver’s insurance company. Since I was in a rush to get to the hospital I disregarded the guidance from my USAA insurance agent and agreed to the tow.
What the driver SHOULD HAVE RECOMMENDED, is that I call in my service call to AAA and that he could not handle that.
Later that day my USAA insurance agent recommended again that the vehicle not be towed to the tow yard. When I initially called the yard I was told that I was going to be charged for the tow of both vehicles, including the Toyota that rear ended me if I wanted to get my vehicle off the lot ($ 400 + storage + late fees). After further discussion they agreed that I would only be responsible for the tow and storage costs on my own vehicle. On Friday evening I made arrangements through AAA to have my vehicle towed from Poway Tow Pros to my home. When I arrived the tow lot was closed in Poway and arrangements to open the lot and tow my vehicle had to be made through another office. During the course of this transaction the price fluctuated between $ 290 and $ 350 and finally settled on a price of $ 250.
Note that the Pacific Autow Center web site does state that a tow will cost only $ 65 within 5 miles! This is emblazoned across their web site. However, this only applies if your vehicle is broke down. Additionally, if your vehicle is ever towed to Poway Tow Pros by CHP, or city/​county Sheriff the cost of the tow is $ 200 PER HOUR with storage fees of $ 50/​day.
Just because you the other party is going to have to pay exorbitant tow and storage fees does not make what Pacific Autow Center did right. Towing my vehicle to my home would have been covered by AAA with no storage fees whatsoever. I believe that every company has the right to make money, but taking advantage of a situation like this is not the right way to (1) treat customers, nor is it the right way to make money.
If you are a AAA member and need a tow, make sure that when you call that you tell the AAA operator that you DO NOT WANT to use Pacific Autow Center or Poway Tow Pros for your service. Ask for another company.

I got to work today only to find my tire had a massive gash on the threads. i was not feeling very well so I called around and found Tow Pro would change my tire for $ 65.
the operator (I wish I remembered his name) called me 15 min prior to arriving and then called when he arrived. he was VERY professional! I had a great interaction with him and he changed my tire quickly.

I am so thankful for Tow Pros!
Today I went out shopping in Carmel Mtn and had my 4 year old and 8 month old with me. I was getting the stroller out of the trunk of the car, my son decided to get out of the car, lock it, and close the door. With my bag, keys, and BABY INSIDE! Needless to say, I started to panic because the weather was pretty warm and I wasn’t sure how long it was going to take.
I googled tow trucks in poway and since Tow Pros was the first result, I called. The woman who answered was very friendly and when I explained the situation (and hearing me almost crying) she assured me someone would be out within 15 minutes.
Not 3 minutes had passed and the tow truck driver called me back and so did she to confirm that he was on his way. He arrived in another 5 minutes. I’ve never had such quick service from a tow company before, but being that a child was involved, they recognized the gravity of the situation.
Hadrian was very nice and opened the door immediately.

So my vehicle just got towed, with no notice etc (not Tow Pros problem) but when I went to retrieve my vehile my vehicle was damaged! The left taillight was broken, my entire back bumped was damaged and missing. I will be visiting them today because saturday they did not have anyone in the office that could assist me other than me picking up the vehicle. I am so upset, after I speak with the owner today I will revisit my review but as of now they have not taken responsiblity of the damage. I have photos of my vehicle the day before the tow and the pictures clearly show no damage. So as of right now my rating is extremely low… I will repost a new rating if they take respobility and retify the situation. They did the damage, the construction vehicles that were on my property where way to high of ground for them to do the damage. So the investigation goes on…

Used these guys about a month ago to tow a forklift that had a dead battery, and was in a difficult position to get the truck to it. They were able to chain up to it, pull it onto the truck, and deliver it to a location that also was very difficult to get into. They did a great job. We’re going to be using them again for a second job.

Tow Pro is awesome! They showed up on a busy school morning within 30 mins of getting the call. As they pulled up, my husband actually got the car started after many, many attempts. He offered to pay the guys from Tow Pro for coming out and they refused o accept any payment. What a class act!

I locked the keys in my car at work which is completely secured with bars, security guards, etc. Called AAA and they sent Tow Pros (Perry) which showed up within 10 – 15 minutes. Security guards were playing touch guy and made Tow Pros wait (30 – 40 minutes) for supervisor before entry would be allowed into secured facility. Driver was absolutely the most patient guy I have ever encounted. They could have said forget it and left me with my keys locked in the car, but they didn’t. I had to leave a high recommendation for such nice folks.

Tow pros is awesome. Fast, professional service and fair prices. I have had to call to have my car towed a couple of times and have never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes before they show up. Best of all they are very careful with my car. Highly recommend.

When I had a flat tire in Poway I called AAA and they said they’d be sending someone from Tow Pros. Within 15 minutes I got a call from Tow Pros’ employee Tonio. He replaced my tire with my spare and in about 20 minutes I was good to go. Tonio was super nice and I really appreciated his help. I hope not have this problem again but if I do I know I can count on Tow Pros!

Guy was late so I called to see what was up, prepared for him to be busy and be a bit late. He says, «hold on» and proceeds to begin throwing up into the phone for a minute and a half before telling me maybe another half hour. Hope he doesn’t drive hung over.
