Walgreens

I have an urgent prescriptions that I needed to pick up at this Walgreens location 11 AM on Christmas Eve. Without any notice Walgreens shut down the pharmacy at this location until Christmas. Now I am out doubting other Walgreens to see if I can get my urgent prescriptions filled. This is not the first time it has happened but it certainly will be the last time it happens to me.

My five stars are for the pharmacy staff at this location. A while back, our insurance carrier stopped working with Walgreens, and I had to move to CVS. As SOON as Walgreens was approved again, I switched back. They are the best I have ever worked with. Great team!
The location, in general, is fine. Staff are friendly. They stock what I need. Good «vibe».

Getting in and out of this location is tough! If you live in Muirfield this location has basic necessities saving you a trip to Kroger or Giant Eagle

Doesn’t seem to have quite as good a selection as the Walgreens in my former neighborhood on Henderson Road, but I was able to find everything I was looking for nevertheless, from face wash to gardening magazines to cleaning supplies for my car. Like all Walgreens I’ve been to, the staff goes out of their way to be friendly. This location hasn’t seemed that busy on the occasions I’ve been there, and has a huge parking lot that’s easy to get in and out of. It’s a much more peaceful experience than shopping in the packed Kroger/​Giant Eagle plazas across the street.

This is one of the newest Walgreens locations. Store is bright, clean and laid out like other Walgreen pharmacy’s. I would almost say this location is a bit more of sleeping gem. The pharmacy staff have been personable and quite helpful as opposed to other comparable large size chains that are order machines. The store has never been very busy when I visited. There is another Walgreens just up the road as well as a number of competitors in the area. The location is pretty accessible. It is not a 24 hour store, however.

They do have most thing you need from a drug mart.

Walgreen’s –I can always find what I need there, love the sales and their bonus buck thingies, and I love how the pharmacy works. Whats the big deal you say? I have gotten sick a few times away from home and each time I had to call my doctor back home who called in a scrip to Walgreen’s.
I then take my puny self to the nearest Walgreen’s where I am and BLAM! they pull up all of my data, the scrip, and fill it. Today I had to call my old doctor back in St. Louis to tell him I no longer want to sound like a 12 pack a day smoker whose throat is on fire.
This time I gave the doctor the number of the closest Walgreen’s. When I got there the pharmacist had pulled up my info, updated it with the new data, and then went one step beyond by giving me the names of some local doctors, hospitals, and urgent care centers. Now that’s what I’m talking about!
