Was looking forward to going here for the first time as I had heard good things about the place. I had two tacos(chicken and fish), the meat queso appetizer and a margaritas and it was all unfortunately underwhelming. The bar service was horrible as The bar was basically empty but the bartender was busy talking to a co-worker forcing me to frantically wave to get her attention. The margarita and the food was mediocre at best. We probably won’t be back.

I enjoy the great food and outstanding customer service every week. They offer a variety of menu choices and sizable portions! I highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family!

Great food, wonderful and kind service. Their salad tastes very fresh, their burritos are filling and their specialty tacos are always great too. I personally enjoy their chips and salsa as an appetizer. Great environment, lots of tvs, you won’t be missing out on anything while you’re there. All in all Yabos in Powell is a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner. Can’t beat great food and great service. Would recommend to anyone.

Not the place for me. The service was fine, but the atmosphere was a bit odd. Nothing that would have kept me away if the food was good… but it wasn’t. We started with the queso dip and it was very bland and way too thick. I had a burrito and the wife and kids had tacos. We were all very disappointed. Again, everything was bland and the ingredients were just not very good. With Mojotogo just around the corner and Hass down the street there is no need to go back.

If you’re hungry for some tacos and live near a location, then yes, this is your place to go! It’s got good chips and queso, tasty food, and it hits the spot. Would I go out of my way to come here, or crave it on a cold, lonely day? Not so much. But hey — that doesn’t mean it’s a-ok! We had good service and food was prepared just fine. I just wasn’t blown away by the taste or the selection.

Very unprofessional. Hearing the cooks cursing saying«Fuck» right behind me in the window isn’t very pleasing.

I’ve only ever had the opportunity to eat their tacos when their food truck comes around my job with free vouchers for a lunch meal. So far so good. No bad experiences, but then again, I don’t have much to complain about as it’s always been free for me. The tacos are pretty good though, especially the chicken tacos. Not so sure I’d drive all the way to Powell from where I live for them, but if you’re in the area they’re definitely worth a try.

Nope, not for me. I’m salt sensitive, so when the Massive Yabo is so over seasoned, that me lips dried up, I couldn’t do it. Ended up ordering a shrimp & steak tacos. I think they used a tablespoon of seasoning for each shrimp, poor shrimp, ruined. The steak was tough & the tomatoes tasted like they were straight from a can & sitting in that open can all day. Service was fine, place seems decent enough, no complaint there, just the food, you know, the most important part… I’m sure there are some other good things but I’ve got more places to try so it’ll be a long while before I’m back. Sorry Yabo, no go for you.

Monday night. One server for the whole place 4 tables 3 at the bar. Not really that busy I’m in the buisness. The bar tender moved way to slow to take care of us all. Already had kinda of a bad demeanor. Asked to have channel changed and I heard sure no problem. Never got changed. I had an empty pint glass for 15 without a peep about a refill. Kinda disappointed in the service. Next time I’ll just raise my hand for my next beer.

Love this place! A craft beer bar with awesome tacos. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to catch your favorite game as tvs are everywhere. Had them cater a grad party and the did a fabulous job of which I got rave reviews from my guests.

This place is the best hidden gem in Powell EVERRRRRRR!!! It is deceiving because it says Yabo’s Sports Bar or something like that on the outside of it but inside is a magical delight of a taco-lover’s dream. It has very colorful and fun décor, a laid-back atmosphere, and tons of flatscreen TVs for the avid sports fan. Their margaritas are phenomenal as well! The margarita for 2 is more like a margarita for 4, but I’m not complaining about that! Can’t go wrong with anything here!

Love this place… One place I can go and not have to scrutinize everything I order base on my gluten free needs. Everything is clearly marked and the staff knows how to direct you on specific questions. It is the icing on the gluten free cake(yes they have gluten free desserts too!) that their prices are phenomenal. Love meeting my friends here for lunch on the weekend, so thankful Yabos Tacos was introduced to me!

Burrito bowl contents served lukewarm. Rice dried out or undercooked in places. Sauces are good but disappointed overall. Are here couple months back and it was delicious. Not sure what’s happened.

My husband and I used to love Yabos for their great beer selection and food. However, for the past few months, the service has been terrible. Things seem to be going downhill. I don’t think I will give them many more chances.

Poor service, very dry tacos that are undersized and really nothing special, you will leave hungry. On one hand how good could it be — on the other hand it wasn’t very good. I don’t know why people love this place but I am willing to give it another shot! they throw feta cheese on all their tacos; my wife is pregnant and asked the waitress not to put it on her tacos because she isn’t supposed to have it while pregnant. Waitress seemed annoyed and said«ok we can give you shredded» and basically flipped out/we could tell she was annoyed. Of course, she brought my wife’s tacos and nothing was on them but lettuce. She didn’t refill my drink once ether. Just mediocre food trumped by bad service.

I love this place! I usually get my food to go, but I have eaten inside on occasion. They have awesome tacos, and you can’t beat them. The price is very reasonable. They also have a cheap beer day; where you can get throw backs for $ 1/can. They had things like Miller Lite, PBR, Miller High Life, etc for the $ 1.

I would have eaten here sooner if I had realized this was a Taco Stand and not just a bar. Seems completely like a bar from the outside, and yes, it has a bar with an excellent tap and bottle list which was surprising. But more so, they have Tacos! I think the sign outside says Yabos Bar which is where the confusion comes in. Anyway, like at Hass, you come in, order at the front, then find a table on your own and wait for your order to come out after you pay. I got the Steak Quesodilla which was pretty darn good, nice and cheesy, well cooked, lots of steak and flavor. They have several sauces at the table to try and a couple behind the counter you can ask for. Got me a «Smells Like a Safety Meeting» IPA beer by Dark Horse Brewing to go with it. Way to go with the tap list, you definitely one up Hass there. My wife got the rice and beans with shredded beef, she liked it a lot, I would never order it. We got the kids cheese quesodilla’s which were huge for 4 and 5 year olds… we ended up taking a lot of it home. Also got a side of chips and salsa… too many chips, not enough salsa. But the salsa was pretty good, chips could use a good warming before coming out. My entire family of 5 ate on less than $ 30. Table service isn’t too bad either. They got a bunch of cute young server girls running around to fetch drinks, food, etc. Can’t wait to go back and try it again, really trying to decide on whether or not here or Hass deserves 5 stars in the ultimate Powell Taco Showdown.

I am a major foodie so when my boyfriend and I stopped by to grab a quick meal… I was a little skeptical just because I have yet to experience a sport bar with quality food. It came out so fast it seems like they scoop the beans from the can, the rice from a bag, the meat from somewhere, and served it to us. The only saving grace was the sauce… it’s not made from scratch but made the burrito taste better. Pros: Great servers & good spot to watch sports. Cons: Low quality food

It’s so great to have a new restaurant with some originality in Powell. I stopped in after the great reviews on Unilocal, and I was not disappointed. I was hungry and wanted simple tacos, and Yabos delivered. I ordered a steak, chicken and a grilled shrimp taco on flour tortillas, and it they were full of flavor. The meat was well portioned and the home-made hot sauces offered a variety of great additions for the tacos. I was also impressed with the great craft beer selection, opting for a reasonably-priced pint of Chillwave with my meal. It’s very refreshing to have a delicious, simple and original new restaurant in Powell, which can be hard to find these days. I will definitely be coming back to Yabos soon.

Whoever said this place was«god awful» must’ve been chewing on the bar after a bad break-up. The bar is made out of corian… and the last time I checked, it has no nutritional value and ingesting it in public attracts the wrong kind of attention. In typical Yabo’s tradition, this place not only has the tastiest, freshest, most refreshing Mexican food in Columbus… but the Powell location has more TV’s than Ariel Castro has enemies. Need a good bite, a great drink, or a good selection of 24 beers(including seasonals) on tap? Yeah, they’ve got that, too. There is nothing like this place in central Ohio. My only advice is this: don’t chew corian bar-tops. It’s unattractive and the surgeon general warns that it likely leads to intestinal blockages.
