We had lunch at Asian Bistro and were very happy. My wife Amy loves to eat here a few times a week. She usually get a Philly or spicy tuna roll but for lunch she had the dancing eel. She loved it! The prices are very good during lunch special but can add up quickly if you go for special rolls. The ambiance is lovely and modern. They have a huge Buddha statue in the middle of restaurant. Linda the server has always taken very good care of us. We had banana dessert yesterday that was delicious. Most of the food is excellent especially for being in a small strip mall in Powhatan. I recommend having a special once a week on their special rolls since there a bit pricey for the portion size. This will entice existing clientele to try their showcased items.

It’s ok, and good service, but the all you can eat sushi is a joke. The rolls have way too much rice to fill you up fast, but it throws off the sushi/rice ratio. Their miso is also not on par

Great sushi for a small local place. Although we didn’t opt for this option, they do offer all you can eat of regular sushi rolls for $ 16. Our friend had bang bang shrimp which was really good. Would definitely come here again when in the area.

We love this place! My two young boys and my wife beg me come almost once a week. I’ve traveled around the country and the sushi rivals the best places I’ve been. General Tso’s chicken is the standard to which we compare all others, crispy and flavorful. My wife’s favorite is Singapore noodles and my boys love the crab rolls. The service is usually excellent too. The waitresses often fuss over my boys and bring special cakes out for them after our meal. Special shout out to Megan tonight. She’s always taken mighty good care of us. It’s great to have a place like this in Powhatan. Tip your waitresses well folks.

This is one of the better places in the county. Their ban bang shrimp is great and though I am not one for sushi, I have heard good things. Friendly staff and clean accommodations are definitely a plus. Definitely worth the money and the time.

I’ve been in the area for only a few years and somehow missed this place. Got a coupon in the mail and gave them a try. Boy do I hate myself… for going three years without them! This is the best takeout of Sushi and Chinese in this area! Highly recommended! If your coming from further west like me, the extra few miles are definitely worth it, so skip the other guys!

Every time me and my boyfriend go in here the manager remembers us! This is our favorite Powhatan place to eat! Everywhere else is awful! Best food ever! Everyone is so friendly — and every time we go in there is very few to no people at all. Wonderful, I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I never thought I would ever be driving all the way out to Powhatan from downtown Richmond, but I do. I do this every other week with a group of good friends for the all you can eat lunch special. The deal is only for regular rolls; however, they are plentiful and delicious. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri is all made to order and fresh. Great little place in the middle of nowhere. I would also like to mention the special is only $ 11.00! The rolls are large and in my opinion well priced. I actually have no idea how they stay in business because its sooo good and affordable. Give em a try! I choose this place over sticky rice, carytown sushi and hiro sushi. Never would’ve tried this place if not for a great tip from a friend.

We love Asiana Bistro. People can’t believe that there is this fantastic sushi restaurant in Powhatan but Asiana Bistro is it! The food is all freshly made to order and it is a great value. If you haven’t driven the few extra miles to check this place out, you are missing something good.

Asiana Bistro is truly one of those diamond in the rough type situations. I grew up in Powhatan and aside from this restaurant I’ll argue that it’s not a culinary destination. In fact I would say stay away, but Asiana is mind boggling. Not because it’s better than other sushi joints in the city(it’s not) but because it’s all you can eat for $ 9.95. When I tell my friends that they laugh and say no and wish me well in the hospital. The few though that I’ve convinced to try it were blown away. This isn’t like a buffet spot that has it sitting there eerily on a tray and who knows for how long. When you order, he makes it. If you are still wary of freshness… order the safer items. I recommend Sweet Potato, Shrimp or Chicken Tempura, and Spicy Crab. Everything I tried though was great, including the raw fish items like Salmon, Scallop, and White Tuna. Service is horrible though because the girl speaks about 2 words of English so be patient, it’s worth it.

Very good food. Lots of variety — sushi, Thai, etc… Fair price for portion. Even the glass of wine was portioned fairly.

The service is going slowly going downhill. Been coming here for almost three years now and the owners are just spreading themselves too thin by focusing on their expansion in other areas. Went there tonight for Valentine’s Day and they were understaffed with one waitress clearly inexperienced. Witnessed her drop a utensil/napkin bundle on the floor and pick it right back up to rejoin the pile. From start to finish it was alittle over an hour for edamame(came room temp/cold usually warm), miso soup, salad(drenched w/dressing and just lettuce usually cucumbers and a tomato) and three special rolls. Watched a couple next to me approached by different waitstaff for the same task. Wouldn’t normally pick at some of these details but we notice the difference. Overall, their sushi is still good, fresh and reasonably priced. Also, it’s nice that on this day, they give the ladies each a rose but the execution was inconsistent and maybe because we were in the back dining area. One lady got a rose, another didn’t but questioned it then got it. I didn’t at all when we were paying and frankly I forgot about it(didn’t care as I just wanted to leave already).

First rate sushi, gorgeous food, terrific service. Can this really be Powhatan? Extraordinary! Try the Powhatan roll. Wow…

Hands down the best place I have ever gone for sushi. I’m certain that more expensive places serve what is technically ‘better’ sushi, but I’m a college student here, can’t afford to spend 100 $ a head on fish. The service is great, the sushi is delicious [especially paired with the lovely, crisp sushi wine– Oroya] and eminently affordable. The last time i went, the table ordered the sushi Love Boat. It comes with soup, salad, edamame, and dessert for four, then enough sushi and sashimi to feed all five of us [even the teenager] with leftovers. No one believes me that the best sushi in Richmond is actually in Powhatan, but it is.

Who knew? I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in some fancy restaurants in big cities that came with some very expensive checks, and none are that much better than this little gem in Powhatan. We’ve eaten here numerous times in the past couple of years, always bring visitors with us, never been disappointed. The place is spotless(the restrooms are a destination in themselves), the staff is very friendly, service excellent, sake and other wine selections are great. In short, they get it. I have to tell you I never thought I’d see my local pickup-truck-driving-brethren horking down sushi in a strip mall next to the Food Lion, but when the food is this good, who wouldn’t want to eat here? Try the signature Powhatan roll for a real treat — a delicious shrimp tempura roll that is out of this world. If you don’t live here, it’s worth the 8 minute drive from Westchester Commons to check it out…
