This review is for a few months ago as they have now moved to a location off Main Street and are under the name The Kitchen Table. We came here for breakfast and split the ham and cheese omelette and the blueberry bacon pancakes. The omelette was a good portion and well made– the pancakes were the best I’ve ever had! The texture was great and the blueberries and bacon… I want more! I loathe when places offer blueberry pancakes and the berries are just on top, not mixed in the batter. These were mixed in and definitely fresh. That and two coffees(waitress came and refilled often) was under $ 10!!! Excited to check out their new space soon.

This restaurant closed in March 2014 and is relocating to Broad Street under a new name. Hopefully they continue to serve breakfast as it was wonderful! Looking forward to trying the new place when it opens.

This is our go to place in Prescott, but, even if we didn’t live here I’d drive quite a ways to get Aaron’s amazing breakfasts. My friends rave about the choriza tortilla with a kick, but I keep coming back for the basics. Perfect poached eggs, along with over mediums. He makes his own breakfast sausage and it is gooood, with a little kick of heat — nummy. Recently I tried their special which was a veggie omelet with smoked gouda cheese. It was huge and my dining parter was happy to get some of it. The veggies were perfectly done, not too soggy and not al dente, and the smoked gouda added incredible flavor and a creamy texture. Unlike many omelets I’ve had these are not greasy, at all. This wonderful omelet and toast of your choice — all for $ 5.00! Their coffee is strong and good. The service is very good — even when they are crowded which they often are on weekend mornings. I think I mentioned the view in one of my former blurbs about this place, but it is pretty nice looking out over the Mississippi with the highway bridge crossing from MN to WI(or vice versa) and the railroad bridge(Mickey Mouse bridge as my grandchildren call it). Good stuff Maynard!

I wish I lived closer so that I could go to this place any time I want. The food was perfect. My ham & cheese omlette(the hamlette) was perfectly light and fluffy. It comes with a hollandaise sauce which turned an otherwise boring omlette into the perfect pairing. The hash browns were done perfectly. Browned and not burnt while being piled high. The staff were pleasant and attentive. This place is a hidden gem in a town that you may just pass on through. If you’re looking for a great breakfast at a very reasonable price, then go no further!

Sadly, the 214 seems to be out of business now. The web site is dead and it’s been closed when I drive by.

I was in Prescott to visit friends and twelve of us went to Café Two-14 for Friday night dinner. While the group sampled a wide variety of their menu — all excellent food — three of us had the All-You-Can-Eat Fish and Chips. Fish and Chips has long been one of my favorite foods and I’ve sampled it at a myriad of places on three continents. Until that night, the best I had ever eaten was at the Red and Grey Tavern in 1978. Café Two-14 has set a new standard that’s unlikely to ever by exceeded. I can’t imagine how it could have been more perfect. The oil temperature was exactly right and both the fish and the fries were nearly greaseless. The outside of the potatoes was shatteringly crisp and the inside creamy. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist, with a thin and crisp crust. The homemade sauce was outstanding. The homemade carrot cake for dessert only made an outstanding meal better. While it’s not quite worth a special trip from California for a meal, it’s close. I will be back!

Enjoyable and interesting breakfast options. We will be going back to sample more from the menu.

Great food, great service! The quality of the food is a cut above their competition with the price just where you want it. You need to get to Café two14 to enjoy a great meal.

Hey, are you looking for a home town place to eat lunch or breakfast and see the river? Well this is it… really, this is it. This is home style cooking with small town feel and beverages to «pair» with your meal. My wife and I drove down from St. Paul to spend the day along the river and this was a great way to begin the day.

I loved this place! I am always on the look out for a restaurant that takes time when thinking about the food they are serving, putting in effort to make sure it is a different spin than average. This place does just that. I read a couple other reviews on here about it and we decided to make the 45 minute drive. We walk in and the first thing I see is the special board, which made my day. Carmel Apple Stuffed French Toast. It was for sure one of the best french toast’s I have ever had. What is nice is the breakfast menu is only 6 items big, but all 6 of those items are worthy of trying. My kids had the banana walnut pancakes. The sausage it came with was absolutely delicious, tasted homemade. We will for sure be going back.

First time at the place under the new name and new ownership. Stopped in for breakfast. It was good, and I am sure I will repeat at some point in the future. They don’t have a very extensive breakfast menu, but it is all reasonably priced. Nothing more than ten bucks. Went with the Skipper, which is a breakfast sandwich served on Texas Toast with ham, spinach, and scrambled eggs. One nice thing is that being in Wisconsin, they have a full bar and gambling machines available for your enjoyment. Nothing like a little vice in the morning to go along with your eggs and toast.

I don’t make it over to Wiscony land very often(for good reason, if you know what I mean, am I right? JK {kinda}) but recently we took my wife’s G’ma out for dinner on her birthday to Café Two14. I wasn’t expecting much from the small town of Prescott and to be honest I wasn’t incredibly excited to sit down to hear about all the people that had died since we’d last seen G’ma.(yes, I’m a terrible person) The joint has your standard café décor with a mural of the city on the wall along with some old Prescott history scattered throughout. I picked up the simple menu but noticed it actually had some nice looking stuff on it. There were actual adjectives present and it genuinely looked like the owner/chef cared about making good food. These things kinda stand out for a café. Anyways, I ordered the walleye salad along with, to my surprise, a Central Waters mudpuppy porter(chaching!). The salad had a great tasting house made citrus vinaigrette, no Kraft Italian dressing at this place and the walleye on top was done to perfection. At this point my expectations were blown away but there is more. My wife ordered the pancakes(breakfast all day baby) and I couldn’t stop starting at them. I refrained from tasting because at that point I knew I wanted to come back and get the whole breakfast experience first hand. So, we went back for breakfast(yea we brought G’ma with again) since I couldn’t get the picture of those pancakes out of my head. I seriously don’t even like pancakes, more of a waffle guy if anything. I ordered the number 6 with two eggs, 3 cakes and some meat and somehow found the strength to hammer down all of it. I went for the banana walnut pancakes and all of my dreams came true. These pancakes are flipping(get it?) amazing. So fluffy and flavorful, gawd I can’t get them out of my head. Anyways, I’ve been back multiple times now to try the chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and buttermilk varieties and the banana walnut are tops for me followed by the oatmeal raisin at a close 2nd. If you’re lucky like me you have a G’ma in town. You can knock out gettin your G’ma time in whilst downing some amazing food all at the same time and it’s a no-brainer for sure. I’d personally like to thank Café Two14 because we’ve now moved into the number one grandchild spot with a clear hold on it even into the future since we are sure to come back on a regular basis.
