Dr. Benjamin Abt, Oral and Facial Surgery Center of Prescott

I had seen my regular dentist (who I have been seeing for 12 years and love!) for problems with two teeth, one of which was infected. It was determined that both teeth would have to be extracted. My DDS treated the infected tooth and we made an appointment to extract it. Before he could return from vacation, the tooth became infected again. I went to the covering dentist who gave me an antibiotic to treat the infection because the infection interfered with the anesthetic so I couldn’t have it pulled. I didn’t want the tooth to become infected yet again, so I called Dr. Abt, who my DDS had told me was getting ready to open his practice. He answered the phone himself because the office wasn’t officially open yet for patients. He was so kind and accommodating! I ended up being his first patient on the day the office opened. Everyone on staff was professional and welcoming. Dr. Abt explained everything he was going to do, had a gentle and virtually painless technique with the needle and pulled the tooth in less than two minutes! We then discussed the other tooth, which was within my «smile» space and would require some kind of procedure to fill the space. I had previously been creeped out by the idea of an implant being screwed into the bone, but Dr. Abt was so understanding of my fears and patiently explained the procedure in a way that calmed my anxiety and allowed me to see the advantage of the implant. The procedure was painless and I have had no problems from either extraction or the implant itself. In addition, Dr. Abt worked with me around the financing of the procedures (my insurance doesn’t cover implants). I cannot recommend Dr. Abt and his staff highly enough. Prescott is so fortunate to have Dr. Abt offering such kind and competent services.

My 6 year old had a significant tooth infection over the Christmas 2015 weekend. Every dentist in town had turned off their phones but Dr Abt agreed to meet us in his office on Saturday morning (of the Christmas weekend) and personally handle the issue. Spent over an hour with us giving advice and pulling a pair of teeth. Truly exceptional, way above and beyond. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Abt as I had a tooth that needed to be extracted. I found him and his staff to be very professional and informative. He took his time with me and answered all my questions and removed my tooth with the minimum of discomfort. I had small amount of discomfort for approx. 12 hours and none since. Totally satisfied with his service and treatment.
