I used to love going to the Raven for their ruben sandwich — –yummy corned beef on marble rye. This time their was melted swiss and none of the delicious homemade thousand island dressing. I was on a date so I didn’t complain but it was nothing like it used to be. I have had it before at least 8 times, so something is different. I don’t recall there being swiss on it before and it was just pretty unflavorful. I’ve enjoyed their ceviche and bean burrito in the past. I’ll try one more time but if there is a change in the kitchen, I won’t be returning for food. However, the ambience, eclectic crowd and live music makes it a nice place for a beer or wine. Love their selection of beers.

The bad first. Don’t order the Mango Candied Bacon Flat bread. The bacon was scarce. We took it home and the moisture from the mango and the cheese turned the flatbread into soup. Bad Raven Bad. Box it different, warn customers don’t sell it to go. It was a waste of $ 10. The good. The Pulled Pork was excellent, as was the Mango salad. These items were consumed on premises prepared properly and were very very tasty. The sweet potato fries were cold. :-(. The beer list was great. Lots of local breweries represented. Head to the bar to order both meals and drinks. Look for the sign. Overall average. I would go again and keep it simple. Maybe just a beer.

Meh. Says they have vegan options. Nope. Only one and they were«out» of oatmeal and unapologetic. Served toast without jam. Food moderately okay. I wouldn’t go back.

Went for breakfast, and being a vegetarian the menu was not very expansive. I was put off by the prices and the service was OK. Not a fan, haven’t been back since.

We sat at the bar. Great service and everyone was so friendly, even the general manager. Food was good and it was the beginning of local craft beer Arizona so they had 30local drafts on tap!

Good food but small portions and high prices. I guess that’s pretty typical in Prescott though. Probably a good place to just grab a drink with friends though.

Went on a Saturday night. Place was packed and there was a great vibe. Jazz band playing was phenomenal. Had wine and beer. Great selection. Will go back again to order of menu.

Wow. This place. Tucked away on a street corner in Prescott. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a sandwich and a glass of wine. Little did we know, they had a beautiful upstairs patio. We sat in the midday rain post eating and overlooked the mountains, surrounded by people loving the up and down weather. Great service, good food, nice wine selection. Maybe it’s Prescott, or maybe it’s just a great place, but we will definitely be back.

Best. Cappuccino. Ever. This only begins to describe this fantastical experience at this beautiful Café in Prescott, AZ. I had forgotten about this adorable place, only to happen to stumble upon it once again. The rooftop patio is the best feature, and they have outdoor heaters! Quick note that is super important to me personally: they are organic and local :) I was sososo happy to see the organic milk automatically pulled out for my cappuccino and that their coffee is from a local roaster. This place gets my stamp of 100%. P. S. the staff is very friendly and attentive! I came on a Monday night. Both, the female and male, working were nice, happy, and helpful.

The fall of the Raven. Our first several experiences is that is was the one of very few cool places to hang out in Prescott, full of interesting people, unusual art, good coffee, excellent wines, and a cool menu with veggie & gluten free options — all reassonably priced. The raven went through a sudden transition — into a tourist– and rich-retiree trap. The menu was changed, the menu limited, insipid and overpriced, and the experience stultifying, definitely NOLONGER mellow. Bummer! The raven LOST its CHARACTER as a friendly, neighborhood, alternative hangout. Sickening!

I like it here. I’ve not had too much on the menu, but I very much enjoyed my salad and my huevos rancheros(two great options for my vegetarian friends). The prices are reasonable and the space is lovely. If you’ve only got one chance, make sure to eat on the patio unless it’s too cold. If you plan on making regular visits to Prescott, take a gander at the wide beer selection and see what you want to pair with your meal. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I doubt I will any time soon! Three cheers for the huevos, and two more for the beers!

This place takes us back to Portland, Oregon with it’s overall chill and relaxed vibe. It’s pretty much always buzzing which proves they’re doing something right. What I love: Organic & local ingredients Environmentally-conscious Vegetarian options(wish there were more) Really great craft beer selection! Rooftop patio Live music(Thu-Sat) Relaxed vibe They have a good veggie burger(vegan), yummy onion rings, and their asadero nachos are fabulous(pickled jalapenos, black olives, diced tomatoes, onions, pinto beans, black beans, asadero cheese sauce, cheddar and jack cheeses, sour cream, and house-made guacamole). The Not-So-Good: It is often crowded and noisy downstairs I once had their vegetarian quiche which was really disappointing — small, shrunken and dry with not much flavor. Won’t have that again! The rooftop patio could use a little more shade in the summer Overall though we really dig this place. Definitely worth checking out!

Prosciutto and hummus pinwheel with sweet potato fries was amazing! Service leaves a little to be desired, then again it was a Friday night and they were quite busy. My husband and our friend thought it was pretty good too. Love that it is mostly organic!

One of the best places I have ever been! I was really undecided when I walked to the café. I had looked them up on Unilocal, gone over the menu several times, but when I walked in it was a warm and comfortable atmosphere. I sawed that they had a taco Tuesday night, and for all the meat lovers, their regular tacos looked really good. For all the vegans, their vegan tacos were to die for. They were light, and delicious and filling. I also ordered a glass of Mint Chamomile tea, which they add to their own tea bags in house and place a plate over the top for the discarded tea bag, and to help keep the water hot while it steeps. It was aromatic and delicious and went extremely well on a cool rainy night with delicious vegan tacos. I lastly ordered a bottle of their Beer of the Day, which was Dr. Jekyll’s IPA. They sold me the bottle and poured the first third into a small bourbon glass. It was amazing. It was the best IPA I have ever tasted. The atmosphere was so welcoming that I even made acquaintances with a local patron and the staff were all so welcoming. I even overheard one of the staff helping a couple decide on a wine and was more than happy to walk them through each wine they sold. This was the best place to unwind after a long day. The room is filled with local art on the walls, all for sale, and perfectly lit so it didn’t feel like a bar, but didn’t have the same restaurant feel like so many of the other places near by. I will be returning as often as possible. I love that they cater to all kinda of tastes and walks of life. I absolutely loved it there and can’t wait to return and try something new.

They have a fantastic patio. You need to go up to the bar to order your drinks and food. But the service is quick and good. This place has such a Prescott vibe you need to check it out.

The Raven is a true hippy and hipster dream. Coffee, beer, food, entertainment, free Wi-Fi, and even patio rooftop dining all in artsy fartsy surroundings. It’s a great place to take out-of-town visitors to show them that Jerome and Sedona got nothin’ on Prescott. According to The Raven’s PR spiel, they’ve left no stone unturned to bring you modern cuisine that is everything hip and healthy. Why? Because they care. To quote their menu«because our health and our children’s health is the highest priority.» Personally, I think they are even more committed to this ideal than Chipotle is. Here are some of their PR buzzwords of choice to prove they are serious: Gluten-free Vegan Vegetarian Artisanal Local sourced Organic Pesticide-free and… wait for it… ready??? Biodynamic! .Boo-yaa! But the caring, green ideals don’t stop there. The Raven crew conscientiously use NO chemicals of any kind in the facility. That’s right, you will not even find bleach to sanitize food prep surfaces from those pesky salmonella and e-coli germs. Nope. They proudly use Dr. Bronner’s soap(Don’t laugh, this is serious now. I use Dr. Bronner’s at home and I have never had salmonella or E coli on me anywhere. Not that I know of.) and cleaners with iodine and essential oils, etc. Heck, they even use plastic cups made from corn.(Take that, Exxon!) But wait, there’s more. The Raven has plenty to offer your eyes and ears too. Their website says: «We feature rotating art shows by local and regional visual artists, the best in underground acoustic and local music, and collaborative events with local conservation organizations.» And it’s true. Yessir, they feed your body, mind and spirit, all at one time. I’ve been to the Raven several times with friends, my family and solo. I’ve been to a few pretty cool musical events too. I’ve enjoyed the patio, had some tasty albeit over overpriced munchies, and drank some beers and coffee. All good. And, when the time is right, I will go again. There is one thing, however, that I have never experienced at the Raven: friendly and attentive service from professional, trained staff. What I have experienced is indifference, imposition, preoccupation with their tasks, chatting with friends at the bar instead of helping customers, excessive waits… well you get the picture.(I did get a little bit better service when I was sporting a handlebar mustache, but maybe that was coincidence.) But hey! At least they are consistently bad and I know what to expect. Despite the service issues, I recommend trying the Raven and see for yourself. They may not be as naturally pure and earth-centric as members of Greenpeace or PETA would like, but they do enough to make you feel good about your choices, as long as you don’t over scrutinize things. Plus, they are one of the most interesting places in town. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, even though they are geared for adults, they attempt to be family friendly with a kid’s menu. While you drink organic expresso, and eat your all-natural, gluten-free, vegan bean patty with organic romaine, sliced tomato, red onion, guacamole, on a GF brioche bun, you can treat your little one to a kids menu Turkey Corn Dog. That one is served with a side of hypocrisy and shame. - I you feel this review is Useful, Funny, or Cool, please check the boxes below. Thanks.

Just updated this to see if the Raven would take it down again. Howdy. I’d lived in Preskit from 2005 – 2008 and have spent a good deal of time there since then. When the Raven first opened the food was superb and the grog was top notch. Since it’s infancy it has slid considerably however. What was once a menu predominated by organic fare and local ingredients now only offers a very sparse selection of either. Burgers I’ve eaten here in the past have shrank by a magnitude of 10 or 20 and are now served burnt to a crisp. Most recently I tried the Flatbread plate with goat cheese and fig. I wouldn’t recommend it. The bread was weird… like cardboardy frozen pizza dough, the figs were dry — that’s the nicest way to put that I feel, and the cheese was something you could find at Grocery Outlet. The«service» here has also slid in the same direction. The servers are very poorly groomed and often smell horridly of body odor. I wouldn’t really classify them as servers but more as a food runner. All orders must be placed at the register, you bus your own plates, and if you’d like a glass of water or a refill from the bar it’s to the back of the line. Some trust fund baby is the owner operator. It’s plain to see that without a weekly cash infusion from their play money this place would be done. The main reason it’s operating so deep in the red is that more than 50% of the tables are covered with people spread out with books, computers, or a variety of other things that are NOT food or drink. Compounding this is the fact that there’s no one to turn the table over and bring you a bill to shoo you out the door. Poor business model. Must be nice to play Monopoly with real money. This place should NOT have a 4-star rating. If you’re going to try this place you should DEFINITELY read what the majority of the ratings are… which are VERYPOOR.

Worst food experience I’ve had in a long time. Visiting town for a Bike Race and decided to try this place out. Don’t believe the hype people. This place was Garbage. First off the ceilings looked like they had Dust from 1842 and the plants needed some serious love. I’m not knocking that because I’ve been to some Grimy spots with some of the best quality food and service. This place was a total fail. My Wife ordered a quiche which she said was ok. Unfortunately her fruit bowl came with unwashed kiwi with sticker still on it. For a place that has organic in their name a little more attention in the kitchen would help. No Biggie they got us a new fruit bowl minus the nuts that actual made the fruit bowl worth consuming. On to my plate. Egg burrito or Burro with Avocado and the blandest tofu chili I ever had. News flash take it off the menu people or find a decent recipe out of any vegetarian cookbook and help your business take pride in a tofu dish. That’s not the worst part… half way thru my burrito or Burro I found bacon. Being Vegetarian this was the topper to my ultimate poopfest of an experience. Think twice if your vegetarian or just stick to the craft brew. Thanks for ruining my day:(now to vomit

This place approaches a 3.5. Visited The Raven by default as spots we might have ate at were closed. This is really more of a bar than a restaurant. The ambiance is striving for Durango or Boulder, but it comes across a bit confused. Service was adequate — don’t expect anything spectacular. Some food items were nice, others not. The fries were mushy. The soup was bland. The club, wrap and salads were nice. Great downtown, but in need of more quality eating options.

If you’re looking for a place to sit and drink, this place isn’t bad. My main complaint is the burger and sides. My man and I were both starving and the burgers sounded fabulous. I ordered the Raven Burger, which is supposed to have spices in it and comes with feta. He ordered a cheeseburger with BBQ sauce. What a complete and total disappointment. Although we both like our beef bloody, we order our burgers medium so the bun isn’t soggy. These burgers tasted like they’d been left on the grill for an hour. I have never tasted anything so dry in my life; I actually put ranch dressing on it just for the moisture, but it didn’t help. My fries were limp and cold like they were leftovers from another table and his onion rings were almost charred. Both burgers were terrible. Our friends ordered the pork sandwich and a quesadilla, both of which were good. This place has a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly. Just steer clear of the beef.
