Went to have dinner here a few months back. I have to tell you that it was the worst dinning experience I have ever had! I had brought the family out to celebrate an anniversary. The waitress lagged in bringing our drinks about 15mins. The food took over an hour. The second round of drinks took ½ an hr. My son accidentally spilled his drink the waitress throws a towel down and asks that we clean it! I demanded to speak with the manager. I remained polite and explained to him all the problems we were having. He was telling me that I was lying about the wait times!!! The awesome thing is that The receipt had the times that the orders where put in to the kitchen. I had to point out the evidence on the receipt to him!!! The owner apologized but it was insincere. He said the best he could do to compensate for the rudeness of the waitress and really long wait was a 10% discount on our total bill. I paid $ 130.00 tip included. I felt like I paid 130.00 to be treated like a second class citizen! I could not believe that the owner and staff could be so rude! I believe that they are racist. I’m Hispanic and my fiancé is Afro Puerto Rican. I told the owner that I have never been treated so badly in a food establishment in my life! I also told him that I would be writing this review. He did not care.

We were here last week and it was 5 star. This week, they were out of the meatloaf, out of French onion soup, and out of nut brown ale. Not an auspicious start to our visit. The ham and cheese sandwich was good but unremarkable, other than the ham which was a nice thick piece. The smoked wings are delicious(!!!) but very challenging to eat and two wet napkins will not suffice. The salad with the apples, walnuts, and cranberries is good with a plethora of cranberries. Still really like this place but disappointed that what we wanted to try was unavailable.

Went out with friends for some tapas. The beer list was extensive and had many local brews too. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food was above average. The service was not the best, the wait staff appeared to be overwhelmed and we had to ask her and remind her for things like silverware and napkins. Overall I would go back for the beer and the spicy cauliflower(it was amazing)!

We liked this place a lot. We ordered buffalo cauliflower which turned out to be really good. They also turn any salad on their menu in to a wrap if you like. The burgers are good and portions are generous. Looks like they have a nice bar, but being a non-drinker, I can’t say much about that. TV ‘s are on to watch«the game» and the outdoor patio on the second floor is very pleasant. The restaurant is on the second floor but there is an outdoor elevator if this is a concern.

Love the Hungry Monk. Great food and a big selection of craft beers. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is a cut above the usual dive bars here.

Great beer selection, delicious food and wonderful service! The brisket was quite flavorful and tender. Outstanding chocolate cheesecake. Will return at my first opportunity.

Really loved this place. It’s only open upstairs and the waiters have to go outside in the cold(it’s a cold December) to bring up the food which, adds to the ambiance. It’s a cozy place upstairs surrounding the bar which is the centerpiece. The beer choices are indeed great with both local and imported. I had an incredible Belgian that really hit the spot. They had a bunch of inventive tacos and appetizers which we enjoyed for lunch. Will definitely be back.

Server Dane was great. He was also bartender but took care of us outside. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was awesome. Steak bites and burgers were selfish and the apps salad with chicken was great. Nice selection of craft drafts.

I decided to dine here because Unilocal said I should. All joking aside this is an excellent food destination. The atmosphere is inviting and warm(in both senses of the word.) My server Dane was kind and took time to make recommendations. I ended up choosing the Buffalo cauliflower appetizer and the rice bowl with chicken and Thai peanut sauce. Both were well prepared and proved to have left overs available, which I was hoping for. I will definitely return and I look forward to trying more tasty food!

Great service and an eclectic menu to choose from! We had some applies and beer. Cauliflower buffalo bites, steak bites and yummy Brussel sprouts! Yes I meant Brussel sprouts. There is a fantastic craft beer to choose from(west coast to the east coast). Will definitely be back. Also tones of TV to watch the games.

The burgers and fries are amazing! We went when it just opened, so service was slow but it was worth the wait. THey have a large selection of beer on tap and my kids loved the grilled cheese… actually, so did I. It was awesome! I recommend this place to anyone any chance I get!

Out if towners on Saturdsy drive with our dogs. They are VERY patio dog friendly and went out of their way to spoil them! I ordered Smoked Wings and my guest h ad Apple Walnut salad. It was a lot of food for $ 9 and I loved the taste. My guest loved their salad and could not finish all of it. Our waitress was amazing and she made sure our drinks were full and digs had water. Would have given 5 stars but the wait for food was too long. Wunner Winner, had the chicken dinner! We will be back and special thanks for making us feel welcomed with our dogs.

This place needs to get their act together. I’m trying to think of a word other than service, because that word does not apply to the staff members who interfaced with me. The particulars of my visit are not important. You can read those sorts of details in other reviews written by other victims. A couple days after my visit, I began to mention this place to a family member, who immediately chimed in excitedly«The Hungry Monk is great! Their deep fried mushrooms are bomb! «Puzzled, I inquired further about their visit since it was so different than mine, to which they replied«Oh yeah, our friend(name withheld) works there! She’s a server.» I just smiled. I will go back and ask to sit in you know who’s section. We’ll see if there is a difference.

What a disappintment. We loved this place when it was firehouse restaraunt and we’re looking forward to hungry monk. Beer selection is better than most venues. The place was not busy and now i know why. We ordered quesadillas. After waiting over 30 minutes for our food we were told the ticket was lost. After waiting another 30 minutes and seeing other people get their food who arrived after we were told our ticket was lost and the food was reordered we decided to leave. Quesadillas do not take over 30 minutes to make. I asked the bartender how she would like to handle our tab. She had the nerve to charge is for our drinks(2 sodas and a beer). Not even an apology.

Points were scored: Good selection of craft beer — 26(I believe) on our visit. Full bar with good selection of drinks. Buffalo Cauliflower — lightly fried and tossed in buffalo sauce with good thick bleu cheese dressing that seemed housemade. Points were taken away: Service — not sure if our server was new and, even though she got the drinks right, she couldn’t remember who ordered what, so I almost ended up with my wife’s pink lemonade looking thing instead of the IPA I was so desperately looking forward to. She failed to check on us and was very slow with the check. Menu — another reviewer mentions that a lot of the items on the menu say«coming soon». I had the same experience. My take on this: if it’s not ready to put on the menu don’t list it at all. The menu will have to be reprinted anyway. Why tease us with what we can’t have yet? Seems like a ploy to get you to come back which, if what you did have was done right this time, you’re going to anyway. Setup — the«general manager» mentioned that he was smoking meat downstairs, which seemed like that’s where the entire kitchen was. They were hauling trays of food up and down the stairs, which were outside the restaurant. They did cover the food with metal cloches, but that system(especially in colder weather) is going to break down sooner or later. They’re new, so hopefully they get those«coming soon» items added and the kinks worked out of service because it’s a nice addition to the Prescott food scene.

My roommate and I visited the Hungry Monk last Friday. It was fairly busy, and seemed like fun. We had the following food and the following up charges: 2 Moscow Mules 1 pretzels appetizer, comes with beer cheese OR mustard **** $ 2.00 up charge for both 1 burger ** added grilled onions instead of raw onions $.50 up charge ** we asked for veggies they were out… **** waitress offered a salad $ 4.00 up charge 1 pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw Total: $ 56.00 for essentially two sandwiches, a appetizer, and two cocktails. The food arrived at our table slightly warm. We were extremely dissatisfied with the lack of information about up charges by our waitress and will not be returning. Not only all of this but multiple waitress were wearing very classless plastic looking high heels. Honestly nasty that waitress’ feet were exposed.

I am hopeful this place will work out its kinks. I have been here twice and I’m not incredibly impressed. But hey they just opened, so maybe it will get better. Drinks — on point, no complaints Dinner– I’ve had a burger, the cauliflower twice(and each time it was completely different) the beef tips(not as great as they sounded, but tender. The sauce was not amazing) the triple something sandwich(pretty good but needs something added, flavors ran together), and the bacon tacos which I was really excited about, and they just had an abundance of onion/garlic flavor and not a ton of bacon flavor. There were tons of mistakes made by staff like not asking what we wanted with pretzels(cheese or mustard) or type of bun, how the burger should be cooked and so on. Also FRIESAREEXTRA, which is fine but $ 5 for a basket of fries and we got about 20 fries to share with a table of 4… Maybe we will try again a few months after the grand opening. T
