Biking from the twin cities, I was so happy to stumble across Twisted Oak. The men running the counter were incredibly kind and scoop a mean waffle cone.
Would 100% bike back for more ice cream.

This may seem odd, but I went to the Twisted Oak for coffee and found that they most likely have the best scones that I may have ever had.
This bit of information is important because I have worked at two Twin Cities coffee house/​bakeries that consider themselves somewhat of professionals in the industry – and not so subtly.
Twisted Oaks’ scones had me saying things like, «Fuck yeah… This is the best scone I have ever had IN MY LIFE… OMG… and nom nom nom nom,» while driving home through beautiful Wisconsin.
If you go here get some coffee, but also make sure that you check the scones.

For a small town, I admit that I expected bad coffee and pastries here. I was sure surprised! The iced coffee was really good and the donut I had was delicious-​soft and fresh. The employees were really friendly too. I’ll definitely stop here again next time I’m in the area!

Best chai tea latte I have ever had! My hubby and I are serious coffee snobs and these people know how to make a good coffee/​espresso drink. I am so happy that this locally owned business is here and doing so well! Love the energy here, a great addition to our little river town! Such a warm comfy place to stop in for a good coffee, or have a business meeting.
