After trying Herbs Deli which was a let down this was a nice improvement. Looks small from thr outside but there is ample seating at tables or counter. Decent breakfast menu with many choices as well as daily specials. Homemade hash and homemade biscuits and gravy, anything homemade is a plus at any business. Worth trying if you’re in the casino area.

No frills local dive. Friendly enough. Kind of slow. Good breakfast. Food was fresh and well prepared. Liked the choice of kielbasa as a change to your regular breakfast meats.

Great food. Great service. Great prices. We come here all the time! Had the spinach bacon Swiss omelette. It was delicious. Endless cup of coffee. My father had eggs over easy bacon hash browns and toast. Atmosphere is pleasant diner experience. Tara is amazing. We missed her. Her personality makes it worth coming back.

Kinda what you expect from a small mom and pop diner. Little piricey, our service was slow, but service next to us was fast. Food was pretty good.

A no-frills dinner, which would have been fine, but it needs a good cleaning and the service wasn’t great. :-(

The restaraunt was a small dive type place with a large counter and some tables. The food was OK… Regular diner food. The homefries were good though, they were grilled and had some seasoning and garlic but we’re pretty greasy. The menu could have been better, there was no pancake breakfast seems like you’d have to order all sides. The service was okay. Overall average experience so I don’t know why so many people gave this place 5 stars.

ONEHALFSTAR! The only way that I can understand anyone who gives this more than half a star for their lackluster food and only modest portions are people with no palate whatsoever. It makes you wonder what slop they cook at home if they think this was good. Alternatively they could be blind and without a tongue. Since I have all of my oral and visual faculties this place did not cut it. With the place not being busy this Sat morning, snails are faster than the service here; I kept having to ask myself if they were waiting for the chickens to hatch the eggs. Their coffee mugs are out of the late 70s and hold 2 sips of fluid; don’t come here if you are hungry or thirsty; if you like to wait and like below avg service and food then be my guest; We constantly had to go up to the counter to ask for additional things since our waitress was not interested in the word«service». How do you respond to a waitress that says«I don’t know if this water is going to be hot enough for your tea»; Am I supposed to say, «well then bring me some hot water?» A new concept for this place is skim milk; I know what you’re thinking that that word skim is revolutionary; they only serve whole; gives new meaning to hole in the wall; it looked shady on the outside, and it turned out to be shady on the inside; this place is definitely in the dark ages! Unilocal needs to invent new category for a place like this. It should be referred to as a dumpster dive not a diner. I can’t use the word«greasy spoon» since their food was not greasy. This is my first and my last visit! Unfortunately I am spoiled by having two good breakfast places in Putnam Connecticut; Travel the 30 minutes north on I-395 to Bills Bread And Breakfast. It’s worth every minute.

Visiting relatives and stopped for a late lunch on a cold, rainy day. It didn’t look great from the outside, but was clean inside. The food was delicious. Cream of Broccoli soup was cream, broccoli and veggies, no thickeners. The potato salad tasted homemade. Sandwiches were tasty. The prices were reasonable and wish I had had room for dessert as they looked great as well. Service was quick and friendly. Two old gentleman at the counter provided humor. Definitely worth a visit if you want good food and diner décor.

After reading the reviews we thought we had hit the jackpot here. Servers were polite but our order seemed to take longer than those who came in after us. The menu boasted«homemade» corned beef hash. It did not disappoint. Overall it was ok.

Only diner around, service is slow but the food is delicious! The home fries are amazing & grits are awesome! Tastes like grandmas cooking. Great little place to eat breakfast with family & friends.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a while. The toast, home fries, and omlettes were so tasty! Definitely worth it especially traveling in the casino area looking for something better than a Dunkin Donuts!

Stopped in on a hunch one Saturday morning(about 3 or 4 months ago)…been back on one weekend morning every weekend since! Servers are friendly and accomodating, and their suggestions on specials board are right on! Love the fact that I have the choice of home fries or hash browns! Really happy to have found this«homey» little place!

Good home cooking. I highly suggest the«Brando». It was outstanding. Great atmosphere. Keep in mind folks, this is a diner. To the 1 star review, loosen up buddy. You are not in the city!

Loved it! Had Breakfast on Saturday morning. Great family run restaurant. My wife and I both had Breakfast specials: Corned Beef Hash with Fried Cabbage and Cinnamon Bun French Toast with Sour cream/Fluff filling. Both were unreal. less than 5 minutes from Mohegan Sun. Right over the access bridge. Don’t let the outside parking lot scare you off. It’s worth it.

My wife and I go here once or twice a month. We have always left satisfied. Nothing too special, just good food and the service has always been good. We tend to order more than we can eat so it seems pricier than it should be, lol.

Very very good downhome kinda place. Had the philly cheesesteak omelet which was awesome. Homefries were tasty, not the best I’ve had but the handcut chunks of potato fried up on the griddle type I prefer and enjoy. I will definitely visit this place again. 1 waitress running the place who is an absolute hilariously sweet host had the whole place(12 – 14 ppl) laughing and joking with her.
