I stays here for 2 nights, work conference. For a vegan with celiac and corn allergies, my choices are pretty limited. Sunrise did the job. Plenty of vegan friendly choices here. Had the plain rice congee, which is nice n smooth. The homestyle tofu is good. A little greasy but the flavor is spot on. I tried the Yu Hsiang eggplant as well. Sweet and greasy, not my favorite. Skip that and get yourself a plate of steamed spinach or bok choy instead. Overall, they do a decent job. Not spectacular but definitely a God sent for someone with diet restriction like I do.

I agree with the 5 star review from one of the Unilocalers. This is authentic Asian food for the Asian patrons of Mohegan Sun. They cater to their Asian customers so if the food wasn’t good the place would be shut down!!! Had the Vietnamese phở twice in one weekend. Turned my son onto the phở. The pork fried rice was to die for. The bad reviews must come from people used to eating Americanized Chinese food. This is the real deal and you will enjoy the food here. A little overpriced on some items but that’s the way it is in casinos.

This is an easy 3. I’d think Mohegan Sun would have better Asian food, to be honest. Very basic stuff. Everything about this was average. For the portions, a little overpriced. Won’t be back unless it’s the only thing open, or if I am too lazy to walk somewhere else.

Very lackluster Asian food. Ordered the Korean short ribs with with rice and kimchi along with steamed shrimp dumplings. The short ribs barely had any meat on them. Very over priced.

The food is ok. The portions are on the smaller side and it’s very expensive when you pay for a small amount of food.

I just can’t agree with all these negative reviews. This is about as authentic Asian food as your going to get outside of Chinatown. PS this part of the casino is specifically focused to an Asian market — I don’t think all the Asian people would be lined up for food that was bad… The Dim Sum is probably the best I have ever had. The Peaking duck was on par with only one other place I have eaten at, but at sunrise four peaking duck pancakes are only 8 dollars. The crispy pork belly is a mouthful of heaven, crispy, crunchy and so moist and flavorful served over extraordinary rice. This is pretty much an authentic version of common Asian foods, to come here and expect american Chinese style food you’ll be disappointed. Order what the natives are eating and be open to some new flavors. Ordering the generals chicken defeats the purpose.

Stay away!!! My husband and I went to this place because we were hungry for sushi. We ordered general tso, California roll and shrimp fried noodles(disgusting). Not the best we’ve had. To make this worse, we both got sick that night into the following day!!! They should close this place down! I will be reporting this place! So disappointed.

I want to talk about the GOCHUJANGCHICKEN. Sunrise does an amazing version. It is not a stir fry nor is it deep fried. This is grilled chicken breast smothered in a gochujang based marinade. It’s served with onions and kimchi … It’s amazing. It takes longer for them to prepare but it’s worth the wait. It’s not on the late night menu so I try to arrive to the casino in time to order this.

Do not waste your time nor money here! Tasteless, greasy food. We wanted to try, yet regret the moment we walked in. We had the following which you should avoid at all cost: Shrimp and Pork Wonton Noodle House special Ramen Noodle with Roast Duck Bad, bad bad.

This is an Asian food court. It is food court food but at higher prices. The portions are small for the prices. The food itself is okay. If you stick to something simple and just want something edible then you can eat here. From what I ordered, there was nothing that was gross but nothing that justified the prices. The biggest problem is the location. It is just a few feet away from the gamblers and that means all the smoking. All the secondhand smoke makes it way into the food court. This was poorly designed and poorly planned.

Stumbled into here to get a nosh for the bus ride back to New York City after getting blasted at all the casino bars. Had the House Special Mei Fun. Not too special though. It was edible. Other than that, I don’t recall.

Okay with over $ 200 worth of vouchers to spend here, I have a good idea of what Sunrise Square offers — disappointment! Isn’t it evolutionary biology that our body should love the grease and calories of Asian food?!? Well sunrise square proves this wrong! Tucked away behind the Asian games tables, sunrise is one of the few late night options. However, extreme drunkenness wouldn’t even entice me to come here again. Key pts: 1. Room temp, watery, tasteless bb tea with the worst tapioca ever 2. Sushi with too much rice and obviously frozen, not fresh fish 3. Lackluster, bland Chinese food from the dim sum to crispy pork to chow fun to everything! I honestly thought something was wrong with me bc every first bite got this reaction, «mehh, :-(, ugh, hrmph.» 5 hungry people ready to feast — it looked like we didn’t eat anything by the time we finished. I’ve never had such lackluster Asian food.

Since I am vegetarian, I appreciate this place very much. The food is quick, prices are reasonable, and it is fresh! I ordered the steamed spinach, white rice, and veggie lo-mein. Excellent. My dining pal order beef with vegetables. Love this place for the freshness. I consider the best fresh option versus all your normal buffet/fried take out at the casino.

I’m actually pissed I even have to give this place a star. I JUST ordered, got back to my room, was SO excited to dig in and… wanted to vomit. I spent $ 25(for one person, on THREE paltry things) for this?! I can’t believe that Mohegan even keeps this place open. DONOTWASTEYOURTIME! You’re better off going to Johnny Rockets.

This place is tucked inside the casino and I didn’t even know that it existed until I stumbled upon it while wandering around the Asian section. It’s self explanatory — there’s a menu/order sheet at the front, you pay then pick up your food. Plenty of tables to choose from. Service was fast — our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. We sampled the shrimp special — it was semi sweet, crispy, and really tasty. The congee needs a little more flavor to it. My sister asked for some lemons but was told that they didn’t have any. Really?!! no lemon! I had the Korean beef and the meat could’ve been a little more tender. Good flavor though. Also had Beef Chow Fun and it was little bland for my taste.

I was soooooo Hungry, its my own fault for trying something new. Tried the duck, but no luck. I think their regular food would be ok, I guess I just don’t like duck.

Wonton noodle soup and congee at 4 in the morning? WOW. Sunrise Square is located within the casino of Mohegan Sun, not the food/dining area; very convenient for people that don’t want to step away from their table for more than 15 minutes! They serve Noodle Soup, stir fry rice/noodles, sushi, dim sum, BBQ meats and rice plates. It is a cafeteria style food court. You order at the entrance, find a seat and pick up your order once your number appears on screen. The service was quite speedy! The food is OK, definitely not up-to-par with Chinatown. but for what its worth, they’re A-OK. We had an order of vegetable, pork congee, stir-fried rice cake and a brisket noodle soup. Total cost — $ 38 and change.
