The rating and information provided is not based on any spa services. It is only based on the cleanliness and condition of the Men’s Sauna facility, and offerings. Spa Type: European/Resort Admission: — $ 18(Day Pass/Non Hotel Guest) — Free(Hotel Guest of all 4 Primm hotels, or with service) Vanities(6) — Barely stocked with standard essentials — All w/sink Showers(4) — All stocked with Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash — 3 standard, 1 Handicapped Saunas(2) — Wet/Steam — Dry Pools(2) — Hot(Jacuzzi)(103°F) — Room Temperature Plunge(84°F) Quiet Room/Lounge: TV, 4 chairs and a couch that seats 3 in a dimly lit room. Overall Impression: Barebones is the best word to describe this place. They offer the bare minimum of what is expected in a hotel resort spa, and in some areas not even that. For example, the vanities don’t even have Q-tips. The towels are very small, and feel like motel towels. No doubt the same towels in the hotel rooms. The facility is in need of general upkeep. It was clean enough, but just really bland and showing its age. And not one, but 2 female employees walked through the men’s wet area while I was in the jacuzzi pool. And bear in mind, unless I’m explicitly told otherwise, I use spa wet areas in the nude. This wasn’t a big deal for me personally because I’m a naturist/nudist, but I could see how it might make some guys uncomfortable. The fact that it’s free for all 4 Primm Valley hotels at state line saved it from a 2-star rating. It’s only open 3 days a week(Friday-Sunday), so there’s no excuse for them to skimp on so many things. If you’re staying at a state line hotel, you can’t beat free. If not, keep driving toward Las Vegas and dozens of better spa options.

I had my nails done at The Spa this past weekend. I had a full set done — pink and white. First — the lady doesn’t understand the concept of «Pink» — the entire set was done with the white powder brushed over the new tips. Secondly, the price was $ 75.00 — ridiculously high. For that price I expect near perfection — but that is not anywhere close to what I got. There are bubbles underneath the fill material and they are plainly visible. It is now 3 days later — and one nail has already popped off. It’s like it wasn’t even glued down. Take my advice and don’t ever waste your money here.

I was tempted to give The Spa at Primm a 3 star rating, but settled on a 4 because I appreciate the effort and attention they’re giving to it. It’s a nice little retreat in the nicest of the three casinos on the Primm properties. But, like all things Primm, it’s a bit behind the«top shelf» treatment you might find in Vegas. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the steam room, cold pool and nice showers were more than enough to warrant the $ 10 day charge(I think they even do a half-day for $ 7). Really a bargain when you throw in the gym and all the other amenities(razors and shaving cream in the locker rooms, etc.). The main improvement I’d suggest is turning up the temp in the indoor jacuzzi; it was kind of tepid. When I asked one of the attendants if he could turn it up he told me he wasn’t able(?). All that said, I have to say the treatments I received were hit and miss. The hour and a half massage I booked was good, but not spectacular. If I do get a massage again I think I would just get the 55 minute version and save a few bucks. On the other hand, the facial I got was very good. If I remember, Rowena was my facialist’s name, and she did a great job providing a completely relaxing atmosphere with music and soft lighting, etc. There was several steps in the facial, and my skin felt great at the end. Completely worth the $ 65. The disappointment for me was the manicure/pedicure. At Primm they were charging $ 65 for the pedicure and $ 45 for the manicure so I thought they were going to be excellent based on the price. Not so. First off, the woman who worked on me took me to the nail room kind of stuffed in the back. It was kind of sterile and un-relaxing. I think what really exacerbated that was there was no music of any kind playing so it was just kind of awkward and quiet. She didn’t seem to want to actually cut my nails, but just filed them even though they could have used cutting. She did a good job of exfoliating my lower legs and feet with a scrub, but generally kind of hurried through my treatment, and the end result was just so-so. For the price, not a good deal at all. At the end of the day I would say the day pass or half-day pass are completely worth it to take advantage of the facilities. The massage and facial would be something I’d do again, but I would not get a manicure/pedicure there.

Don’t under estimate this spa! Their customer service and talents could be put up against some of the spas on the strip and succeed! Definitely worth the trip!

It is awesome. I’ve been to many spas and this is on par with the best. I was truly surprised. Great atmosphere and massage.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our time at the Spa at Primm. If you get a treatment, you get a day pass(on the Tuesday we went, it was good from 8:30AM — 6PM). Each side(Men’s/Women’s) has a jacuzzi, cool down tub, sauna, and steam room. They have a fairly nice locker room, decent showers, and an okay lounge with TV(and one magazine). They provided some fruit and lemon water(with plastic hotel room cups). The robes were okay. Lots of towels all over the place. The ambiance, as noted, was very relaxing. The steam room and sauna were great. The cool tub was fine. The sauna was not fully heated at the beginning of the day. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our massages.

I love that I am a Gold member at Primm. I get all the comps and discounts here… But habds down I really go just for the spa here. They use all Avenda products and the cater to you every need. I love the steam room that smells like aromatherapy oils. They have separate area for women and men so as a woman you are free to walk around naked…

The Spa at Primm is a surprise. I never would have thought such a nice spa would be out in the middle of nowhere in Primm, NV. I live in Las Vegas and bought a Living Social gift certificate for The Spa. My friend and I thought it would be a nice get-out-of-town-for-the-day thing and we’d buy a Lotto ticket while we were at Stateline. The ambience of the spa was just lovely, just as nice as any Vegas spa I have been to. Very relaxing with zen photos of rocks and beaches on the walls. The women’s locker room was fully stocked with amenities like hairspray, deodorant, mouthwash and had hairdriers, curlings irons and even a flattening iron for guests to use after their services. The frosted glass encased showers had shampoo, conditioner and body wash in dispensers on the wall inside each one. The lockers were roomy and locked with a 4 digit code, no need to carry a key around. They had a dispenser with ice water that had lemons and cucumbers in it for sipping. Also in the women’s locker room were two jacuzzis, one hotter than the other, a steam room and dry sauna(although the steam room was under renovation when we were there). We each got a 50 minute massage and a mani/pedi. Robert, our masseur, was GREAT. He always asked if we were comfortable, if the aromatherapy scent wasn’t too strong, if the pressure was good. He was very conscientious of his clients. Some massage therapists like to walk around and sneak up on you and make you jump when they first touch you. He would always have his hand gently on me so there were no surprises. I would go back to The Spa for Robert alone. :o) The mani/pedi, my friend and I agreed, was terrible. It was sloppy and she didn’t polish all the way to the cuticle so there was a big gap. I had excess polish smattered all over my fingers she didn’t clean up. And the polish job had lint or something stuck in it that dried all bumpy. My friend’s polish job didn’t even extend all the way over to the sides of her fingers. I mentioned to the mani/pedi gal that I always had trouble doing my own nails at home and she said, «Yeah, I can’t do my own either. I have a hard enough time doing other people’s.» Seriously? You don’t ADMIT that you don’t know what you’re doing to your clients! I wondered how she got the job there. Overall The Spa at Primm is a great place nestled in the Primm Valley Resort where I cannot understand why people would go there in the first place. A true hidden gem.
