I highly recommend Dr. Huckel. I was a desperate case: multiple failed attempts to place implants. He took my case and succeeded, the implants worked. He is very thorough, cares for my comfort and minimizing pain. He always makes sure I understand the treatment options, what he will do before he starts a procedure. I find the front desk staff friendly, which is always nice when you walk in. I have been to many dentists in my life(my luck with bad teeth), and this has got to be the best I’ve seen so far. One last thing, if you are afraid of needle to numb you, he has a technique I have never experienced before, he kind of vibrate the area he needs to insert the needle in, in a way to trick your mind, you just don’t feel it!

We have been patients for 10+ years and are completely satisfied with the results, i.e. healthy and good looking teeth and gums. Before Dr. Huckel we were often dissatisfied with our oral care. The staff is great! The assistants and dentists are great. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.

As a physician myself I found the front desk staff to be very unprofessional. In addition, I went for a simple procedure having a crown replaced and he did not clean the crown before replacing it. There was glue left on other teeth. The hygenist did the work at the end. Not thorough work. Would not return, especially for the outrageous prices they are charging.

I found Dr. Huckel through a holistic dentistry directory. With 4+ mercury amalgams in my mouth, I was constantly worried about possibly toxicity, but also scared that removing it without extra precaution could cause even more exposure. To be safe, a vacuum should be used along with alternative air source, a dam over the mouth that leaves only the treated tooth out. Also cold water should be directed to the tooth at all times etc. Dr. Huckel was not the first dentist I inquired. I initially made an appointment with a regular dentist at Eastern dental(what a sham of a place, I’ll review it shortly), but was treated as if I was crazy to care about how the procedure would take place. I was very disheartened. Princeton’s a small place, where would I find a doctor that thinks in the same«crazy» way I did? Then Dr. Huckel came into the picture. Not only did Dr. H follow all the the protocols I mentioned above, he genuinely cared and was really resourceful about various alternative fillings/onlays. They have the most up to date equipment and technology, and the staff there are really professional and thorough. I ended up getting ceramic onlays(this was early ’10), and not only do they blend with my teeth, they feel wonderful. I’ve been coming here for checkups and cleanings ever since, and the hygienists have really helped me establish a healthier teeth regimen(the two I’ve had were both really knowledgeable). Finally, the décor of the place is really plush. Not sure if that’ll be of difference to anyone, but I appreciate the care they’ve put into the practice.
