To start, the entire staff(doc, included) seem very nice… although, from the moment that I walked in the door, everyone that I talked to — patients included, seemed to be selling the doctor’s services to me. From the moment I sat in the chair, I was being sold products, services, cleanings, the family dog… you name it. I am sure that this doctor is good at what he does. He spent quite a bit of time with me. Its just whether or not his services are actually needed, that is the question. I’d never experienced any pain before this visit, yet the doctor told me that my teeth were cracked. Now, I looked at the Xray myself, and didn’t see what he was talking about, but, I have no idea what I’m looking at when it comes to Xrays, and I’m sure he knew that. He began telling me about all of the work that I’d be needing, and insisted that I come in as soon as I possibly could, to get it all done. I was worried. I haven’t had any issues with my teeth since I was a child. I like to take good care of my teeth. I was determined to do whatever was necessary, to maintain my smile for as long as I possibly could — especially in light of the fact that«this doctor never suggests any work that you don’t need to have done! that is a guarantee!!» well, I decided to get a second opinion — and I’m glad that I did. I was shocked, and pleased to learn that my teeth are perfectly fine. There isn’t a single crack, my fillings are all in tact, my bonding is in good shape. I need absolutely no work, at all. However, the doctor suggested that I’d need a cleaning soon. I explained to him that I’d had an «extensive cleaning,» done at this other office. He looked puzzled, and told me that it didn’t look like it. Like I said, I take good care of my teeth. I should not have the build up that I already have, after just getting a cleaning recently. I was very disappointed, and learned a very valuable lesson. If you feel uncomfortable in an office, get up and leave. Don’t even finish the visit. You’ll be glad you did. I wish that I had.
