I stopped in yesterday and saw the latest show at the Bert Gallery and I learned a little something about Providence Art History. The gallery isn’t huge but it is very attractive, exposed brick and hard wood floors, warehouse chic. The woman running the gallery was very nice and very well informed. The paintings were very nice although I thought the timeline running along the top was kind of amatureishly done and was coming apart, nothing a little glue couldn’t have fixed. I was sort of surprised that it was left that way as the rest of the gallery was very nice looking. Nice spot for a gallery though. It is part of Gallery night but it seems a bit off the beaten path…
