This is your typical corner liquor store. It’s got a bunch of wine(mostly value to premium-value wines) and a few craft offerings. Service is quick and no-frills(and kind of offputting sometimes). Prices are marked up quite a bit, but I guess that’s the price for convenience. The store itself is kind of cramped too. On the bright side, they’re open during blizzards(yes, even all those ones in January/February 2015) so that’s pretty great. It’s still exactly what it is– don’t expect to find any treasures. I don’t like to go here, but I do out of convenience.

This place is literally the worst. If you like paying way more than you should for alcohol, go here; we’re talking $ 25+ for a bottle of the trashiest vodka /rum /brandy you can imagine. Also, if you’re into extremely rude proprietors who don’t bother to stop their phone conversations or look at you when you’re giving them money, you’re in luck! Obviously there is no ‘hello’ or ‘thank you’ in this guy’s lexicon. Do yourself a favor and walk a couple blocks to Reyes.

Awful liquor store, bad selection with a steep markup. Recently I purchased the greenflash west coast IPA at this liquor store and upon drinking it was met with a funny taste. After drinking more I checked the bottle and saw I was sold beer 2 months past the best by date! The following day I went back expecting they would refund me or trade me it for another 4 pack but was met by a combative manager who was unhelpful and would not replace the expired beer he sold me, luckily for me the brewing company is being accommodating in helping me get a replacement. You are much better off going to the liquor store near wise guys on atwells ave because there stock is well managed and they have kind respectful managers who have customer service skills.

It’s like that scene in «Jackie Brown» after Ordell shoots Louis in the chest and says, «Your ass used to be beautiful — what happened?» Broadway Liquors, you used to be beautiful. What happened? All kinds of shit happened. You raised prices. Your selection of things I want to buy went down(stopped carrying St. Ides? Boooo!). You kept offering cheap, single ply paper bags to take away heavy things. The owner quarreling with his cashier wife in front of customers. This is some ol’ bullshit right here that I, as a discriminating consumer of forty ounce malt liquors, don’t need to put up with. Now that Reyes Liquors is a hop, skip and a jump away, I don’t have time for Broadway Liquors’ trifling nonsense anymore.

A good, small liquor store. They’ve increased their craft beer selection since I’ve been going there — which is great. The people that work there are friendly and helpful, and the prices are on par with other places in the area.

I love the two people who work here, and the cute little dog(who is trained to take money to the register!) Great neighborhood store. I make a point of buying most of my beer here to support the local business. The beer selection is not huge, but they sell good craft beers AND they bring in different beers all the time. One week the owner told me at length about a new brewery from Maine that had come through and given them some beer to try… I went in a week later and all the new beers were there, and he told me which one he liked the best.(It was the porter, which I tried, and it was great.) I like trying new things, and I can always find something here that I like. Service is always good, too. If they see that you’re looking for something, they’ll usually help you find it or even run to the back to get you one that’s already cold. Did I mention the little dog? Too cute.

Conveniently close to my apartment, but a bit overpriced and the selection is lacking

Pro: Proximity to home — go-to place in a punch. Con: Beer selection is small. (I am not a liquor drinker, so I can’t help on that front). Wine selection is decent, but not spectaular. Overall, if you are searching for a beer/wine in particular, this is probably not the place for you. If you need to grab a quick bottle, they may have what you are looking for. The convenience is the location.

This is a nice little neighborhood spot and am happy it is nearby. The employees are very friendly and service is great. I’ve never bought anything here other than beer so I’m not sure what the wine and liquor selection is like, but they have some decent beers. The prices are eh-hem stiff and they never have a «deal» going on anything. I definitely don’t mind going in here for some convenient package, but I usually try to avoid it and save the few bucks.

Lyndsy is right. The owner is really nice, and so is the woman who works for him. She knows everyone by name, likes to chat, and goes out of her way to help you. Everyone who works here is friendly and ready to assist, right down to the stock boys. Lyndsy was also correct in stating that the in-city mark-up is a little rough. But I don’t mind giving Broadway my money, because they return it ten-fold with customer service. While the store is too small to offer a huge selection, they have recently made an effort to get more craft beers on the shelf. They have a nice little wine selection, with a wide price range. They sell mixers and cocktail garnishes as well. They usually have a good deal on something, and even when they don’t, you can’t beat service with a smile.

The city locale markup factor lost a review star, but you just can’t beat the great service and conversation with the owner. He comes off a little cold at first, but you would too if you had to deal with some of that customer BS.
