Called in today(2÷19÷16 at approximately 12:02) to place an order and the guy was extremely rude. This is not the first time I’ve received rude behavior when calling in an order. This time, we opted not to follow through with our order. We are all done going to Fat Belly’s, we will get our lunch elsewhere from now on. We’ve given this guy too many chances and he continues with his rude behavior.

Just left Fat Belly’s a couple minutes ago. What an awful experience! It wasn’t the servers fault, but it is clear that management does not staff the place correctly. I would say the food is good, but the calamari came out like mush but the nachos were good. We were a large group so i understand the challenge, but this was inexcusable. The bartender was our server, he took our first drink order and they came pretty quick. He took an order for appetizers and we got them about 15 minutes later which was nice. We never saw him again. We asked for more drinks and he said«gimme 5 minutes we are going through a shift change.» Again, we never saw him again or a new waitress or waiter. Every single person at the table was finished with their first drink. We didn’t stay long enough to order another drink because everytime we asked we were given some bullshit excuse. It was like pulling teeth to get an extra side plate for our apps because they miscounted how many guests were at our table. We got up and walked out before we got our entrée. We received no apology from anyone. The guy who originally served us was a nice, funny guy but wow did he have his hands full and no support. It didn’t appear that there was any manager on the floor at all. It’s a Saturday! I would expect this on a Tuesday when it’s not busy but it’s Saturday, no sane manager would put 1 server on the floor! They just lost 12 customers, a damn shame. What a sad excuse for an establishment that has multiple locations.

I’m not mad, I’m disappointed. The old bartender is a comedian that doesn’t do a thing. Never came back to refill our drinks. Had high hopes. It’s unfortunate.

We were visiting from out of town & came here after hearing their truffle fries, among everything else, were good. While they were good, what really won the place over was our server and my flatbread. It was filling but not heavy. It tasted fresh and also had a kick to it. Draft list was good too. Rustic yet industrial feel on the inside.

Open letter to Fat Belly’s: I wanted to let you know that the actions of your Providence staff, Mike in particular cost you four customers tonight. We will also be following up with the RI Department of Health and the Mayors office in Providence and probably everyone we know. We were at your Providence location tonight near the door for Trivia. Both the inside and outside front doors were propped open. As patrons went outside to smoke the smoke came into the restaurant. Several times we closed to door and told the staff about this but Mike kept opening it. When we asked for a manager he said she left and her name was Sarah. I never recall a restaurant open without anyone in charge. Not only is this potentially illegal and definitely unhealthy, but the ridiculous customer service defies the imagination. We actually got up and left before Trivia ended. Our only regret being that we left Mike a single penny. If this is how callous they are in the front of the house imagine what happens in the Kitchen. Horrible fail tonight on your behalf. If you want generic Sysco food and to be treated badly Fat Belly’s is for you.

Stopped in for a quick lunch during the workday with some colleagues. Our server was quick to wait on us, and personable as well. All of our food came out hot, quite quickly, and correctly too. They had some great drink specials available and a good variety of beers/ciders on tap(which I couldn’t try since I had to go back to work, but next time!). Just a note… if you’ve been to other Fat Belly’s in RI, there are menu differences between them. I personally prefer the menu(and the fries) down in the Wakefield Fat Belly’s.

A decent pub for some pub-grub. A good downtown location with our typical pub décor. A decent selection of beers and menu items. Service was friendly and efficient. I’d definitely stop by again.

Their gluten free pizza crust is to die for, and the TD pizza in particular is completely drool worthy. My absolute favorite pizza in Providence. The only reason for 4 stars is that the price compared to the size of the pizza is a little outrageous. $ 15-$ 16 for a pizza that serves only 1, maybe two if the two people aren’t that hungry.

Great little Irish Pub! Awesome apps and fun crowd. We ordered wings and nachos for 6 of us and plenty to eat. Favorites at our table was barbecue pizza and pear Gorgonzola salad. Live trivia host with cocktails made it a fun night with crowded bar!

It’s a dark pub. Loud drunk people. Good drinks, decent selection of beer. Food is decent. The fries are really, really good. I was on a diet but caved. So worth the extra calories. My husband sent back his burger. It’s a problem everywhere though. He orders medium and it comes back well. He warned the waitress he would send it back and he did. It came back medium so he was happy. I probably wouldn’t come back to meet friends for drinks but it’s not a date night place

Oh my goodness. I had the Cajun burger and it was absolutely to die for. And the fries that came with it were some of the best fries I have ever encountered. My friend got the truffle fries and we about died from the heavenly goodness we were consuming. We felt a little heavy after the meal but that’s the way you’re supposed to feel after a good meal! We were very happy with our restaurant option and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Bbq nachos was no big deal. I guess I had the highest standard of nachos from Brick Alley in Newport thats why any nachos I try around doesnt justify NACHOOOS I had from Brick Alley. I requested for extra jalapenos to make it spicier but it was still not how I want it to be spicy. Ambience is good though and they play nice music.

Excellent place in a prime location in downtown Providence to grab a drink. Its especially a great place to hang out before a WaterFire event since its right in the middle of where everything will be going on. The bartenders are pretty cool and the drink prices are really good. Both of my drinks were $ 4.65 a piece. I went with an Angry Orchard cider(really refreshing) and then asked the bartender to recommend a local beer. They didn’t have any Rhode Island beers on tap(which I would’ve preferred considering I was in Rhode Island) but he did recommend a Loose Cannon IPA from Connecticut not too far away which was okay. Atmosphere is pretty good but the place is a bit small and I imagine it gets cramped when they are very busy though it wasn’t bad at all when I was there on a Saturday night a few hours before the start of WaterFire.

As a personal trainer I did cringe at the name of the place lol. Walking inside started to change my mind. Very cozy set up. Nice large bar and nice tables with window seats. The menu was really good. Lots of good choices. I went with a delicious burger and bacon fries option that made completely not care about the name. I will be back.

I like this place. What you see is what you get. A nice dark but comfy pub with all american fare and solid service. I went in for lunch and the bartender was immediately over to our table asking for our order. I ordered the turkey avocado wrap and it was delicious — hit the spot. While tempted to have the fries, I didn’t cave(hey, I’m on a diet!) and had the salad which was fresh. While I didn’t have a long stay here, service was quick and attentive and food was on point. I’d like to come again for some drinks, so I’ll be back for a visit.

Went for their Happy Hour and tried their pulled pork nachos this time. Let me tell you, I was impressed… the dish was tasteful, spicy and crispy. The cheese this time was creamy and flavorful. The pork was delicious. I guess, this is a dish that I would go back to Fat Belly’s for. It is making me change my review for the better…

Bartender suggested yuengling beer and 10 wings for $ 7.50 what a deal! The wings were crispy, got sweet chili and teriyaki absolutely amazing! Fun bar environment, great place for drinks and I have been here numerous times, everything I have tried is delicious especially the Rueben.

There’s not much I expect out of a mid-day bartender, but eye-contact and basic listening skills are at the top of my little list… you know, because I’m a person, too. We walked in, headed toward the bar, and were immediately asked what we were drinking. Immediate acknowledgement is nice, but since I hadn’t even found a seat or removed my coat yet it would have been fun take a moment to consider my options. We asked if the TV could be changed to a hockey game. We said what it was, as well as the channel to change to. Instead, she put on NHL network. Menus were placed in front of us once we got our beers. After that, we ordered soups, per the bartender’s enthusiastic reaction to my question about the French onion. The soups were bad. Both arrived just barely hot enough to safely serve. The cheese on my French onion was melted but waxy, and not browned at all. The bread in the soup was practically dissolved into the broth, and the onions were a bit crunchy. The chowder was not much hotter, and since it tasted«sweet»(as in, might be spoiled) it was just pushed aside with a mound of wasted delicious oyster crackers sinking in. She kept disappearing. Once she surfaced to clear our soup dishes we finally asked if she could please put on the hockey game… for real this time. She seemed annoyed, but obliged. The bartender took our menus away after we ordered the soups, so after a while we asked her if it was possible to get food. I thought maybe the kitchen was closed at a certain time of day or something… turns out, she just forgot to ask us if we wanted meals. Turns out, she was at the end of her shift, and that’s when we realized there was no rescuing today’s lunch outing. She was checked out. Sad times. She spent the rest of her time in the kitchen chatting up fellow staff, and we waited anxiously with near-empty beer glasses. When our food was done, we watched her open the kitchen door and just keep laughing and chatting… no matter that we were within a few feet hoping our food would arrive hot. This is not the only time we’ve been disappointed by Fat Belly’s, but we tried. I always feel like I’m paying too much for the lack of sincerity in service and especially mediocre food. It’s hard to find casual bar ambiance mid-day downtown, and unfortunately Harry’s was too packed to find a seat(because they’re awesome). So, in conclusion, don’t bother.

I can’t speak for the food since I had already had a huge dinner at rancho grande but decided to check it out for some drinks. Since it was a Sunday night it was not too busy but there were a fun group of friends out that were having a blast. The bartender was very funny and attentive. I forgot her name but she kept doing a snap dance. Very funny. She kept my drink filled and checked on me often. They had a bunch of tvs on and the music was blasting which was actually kind of fun. I had a margarita that was delicious. Came in a very big glass and was not too sweet and not too boozie. It was a good value for the price.(8 bucks). I know they have a huge beer list so I will be back to try some. I would probably stick to going on off nights since parking can be tricky on that road and I hate paying for parking when I’m already paying a bar tab. Looking forward to going again !

Had such a blast at this place. My friend and I were wondering in search of a good place for a beer. I basically followed my ears for some music and we stumbled upon this joint. When we walked in it seemed to be a mixed crowd, some younger, college students and some older. I like an eclectic mix. They had all the beers I could want plus 3 different pumpkin selections and dog fish head. We stayed downstairs for a bit at the bar until we noticed people going upstairs. That’s when the party started, the DJ was amazing. He was playing all the old school jams but mixing them with beats and scratching. I wish there were more seats available. I’d say to come around 10 for seats cause we ended up standing. The drink prices are moderate and the dance floor was a great space. Overall I think I’ll be become a regular now.
