Figments

My hubby and I have been huge fans of Figments since we first stepped in! Peggy has some of the most original and fun stationary, gifts, and objects around.
And, how thrilled were we when we discovered she has gorgeous wedding invites too?! In the end, we actually had Peggy design the perfect wedding invite for us, which all of our friends and family adored. Now that the big event is over, we’ve been back numerous times to pick up thank you cards, birthday gifts, and generally fierce items.
The work Peggy did for our wedding invites actually saved us hundreds of dollars! A friend of mine went to the chain stationary stores, and those fools wanted over $ 3K for wedding invites! Don’t throw your money away when you can get better quality, stunning designs, and great prices at Figments!
Now, don’t get me wrong — this isn’t cheap stuff! Figments may have some more expensive stationary, but you get exceptional designs, originality, and the warm welcome of a friend when you shop here. So, if you want a standard crappy card for $ 0.99, go to Wal-​mark. But, if you want exceptional art from local and regnional artists, plus some crazy fun stuff from Asia, you cannot beat this place.

Probably my favorite of the various shops in town that sell cute items of limited utility, Figments specializes in handmade stationery and cards (Peggy, the awesome owner, simply has tons), specialty papers, Asian-​style gifts, art, and unique items for the home. There are also a few books, purses, and the occasional piece of furniture lying about. What I like about this place is that the items offered have obviously been carefully selected and are well-​made, but the prices aren’t prohibitively high (not all of them, anyway). Everything is presented in a pleasant jumble that is extremely fun to look through. As a bonus, it’s next door to White Electric, meaning you can also grab a great cup of coffee when you visit. Make sure to check that the store is open (the hours are fairly limited), but definitely go.
